Tsukaba, Interlagos and Tokyo again.

GR.4 East Outer loop, guess I'll race through traffic in the Huracan again. Still no Brand's hatch and what was the point of adding Catalunya!
At least it's the best of the Tokyo configurations. If I recall correctly, you had a good deal of success, last time we had this combination.

Things can get real nasty there, though. Firstly, because punters get two hits for the price of one (the actual collision, then the wall hit). :banghead: Secondly, since there's no going off track, the one who gets hit is quickly back after his assailant. I got involved in a really brutal fight, last time we did this race and ended up D/E. Still looking for the guy.

It will probably be pretty rough in race B, too. Interlagos is our only track that is actually in South America. :scared:

Wow...3 days in, and already people are moving on to next weeks races. I expect to do well at both Interlagos and Tokyo. I guess one thing that can be said about repeating tracks is that it gives me time to figure them out. One thing I like about Interlagos is that there are a lot of car choices that work.
Back to this weeks races, I have a correction...I think I stated earlier that I got into the 2:09's last time we did Suzuka/GR4. I looked this morning and realized that my best was a 2:10.8xx last time. I guess that explains why I'm struggling to beat the 10.9 I set earlier. I'm still shooting for 2:09's though. My optimal says I have it in me.

No Sport mode last night because I felt the urge to violate some track limits and did a couple of 3 lap races at la Sarthe. After that my hands were too unhappy to race any more. Tonight I qualified with the Merc and finally managed to set a time with it that would put me within the top 5 in my class. Sadly i was not placed on a grid of my class, instead I was P13/15 on a grid with only 4 of us .

Once again I was at the chicane when the race started. It wasn't until Degner that I was shoved. Down to P15 with 4s to make up. I made it up then was pushed off again when I was on the inside and had half a car overlap, and they just turned in on me like I wasn't there . After that I was struggling to get round the track but managed to make up a few places when I did something weird at Dunlop and was fishtailing all over the place. The cars behind me just pushed me out of the way and back to P15 for me. I managed to get a better exit on T15 and pass the Huracan in front, thus putting me across the line in second last place :grumpy:.

SR still 99, DR dropped 800. Another day above DR 1 :odd:.

The livery editor gives you an option to use driver names (as on real race cars) and if the creator used that option then anyone who uses that livery will see their own name on the car. 👍

Can you place the name anywhere on the car?On the courvette GR3 it places the name above the door,i cant seem to find any way of editing it to somewhere else.Any ideas?Sorry to go off topic.

For some reason I have a craving to go karting at Catalunya :odd:.

I think an off the rails daily race like this would be nice to have once in a while. I remember there was a Samba Bus daily which was pretty fun. I haven't seen anything like it since because you know, we need to have another GR4 race at Fuji instead.

Hahahaha Did you tell the driver what you were doing?

I didn't. I was just rushing and had to sign separately for two different parcels that was what probably cost me the race. I didn't have time to say 'You're holding up my pitstop!' or answer the questions that would have followed!

Yeah they did a kart race around Tsukuba once that was great fun. It is a shame we are stuck in a loop of the same combinations over and over considering what's possible.

Had the itch so i went in for a few laps this morning. Cut a little time off in the supra still fairly slow and think i am done with it. Tried the tt in race b for some laps and was instantly faster than my 4c time from the other day but man does it understeer, feels like it's fwd. Think i might be in for some time with that track though, with soeme more practice i think i can get up to pace to maybe do a few races. I don't like being an obstacle though.... lol

The TT Gr.4 is indeed FWD. :)

My time isn't anything special, but the Lancer got me around the track the quickest. It's way more stable than the Huracan, and doesn't understeer like the TT. It's AWD, so it's full-throttle all the time with no TCS. 👍

Edit: Check that. My WRX is faster, now. But they're pretty much the same car.

Hello it's me again!
Been wondering about that CSA use, and how much it raelly helps or affects. Decided to test it, and here is the result daile C qualy 1:36.271.
did huge mistake in last right turn, so lost about 1 or 2 tenths there. So it seem that the differce in laptimes is not big. Understeer seemed to be worse than never, really getting tired of ploving thru corners....
My csa time was 1:35.93x

Car felt little faster in acceleration, but ofcourse need to be carefull with throttle in slow corners.

 i never checked, wtf. It just did not occure to me that it was possible for it to actually be fwd.... i am disgusted lol
Hahaha, I was surprised too :p I got it for my first ever daily race with a garage car, Gr.4 @ Bathurst just before Christmas. I saw that the TT and Megane were dominating the leaderboards, so I gave the TT a try after the Renault, eager for some quattro action after driving the FF Megane  I noticed the understeer immediately and was like "🤬 me is this thing FWD too?" I checked and sure enough, it was!

Still, that doesn't stop the TT from being very good in Gr.4. Always a top pick wherever there are long straights.

I dressed up my Huracan for next week, then did a daily C. Last again, didn't get to the finish in time. The winner was +17 sec ahead, second place another 8 sec ahead of third. Such close racing... I improved my lap time to 1:41.5... The car doesn't seem to want to turn for me in the long sweeping corners, perhaps my analog stick is no good anymore. It's probably just me. Perhaps it would go better in the NSX yet I don't feel like making another livery for this track :dopey:

And they say that people don't change. It was not very long ago that you had zero interest in custom liveries. 👍

I tried a bunch of cars at Suzuka, and most can be competitive. Drive what you like! The Aston and Benz both accelerate well, and lap well. MR cars go well there, but are less stable so it's easier to mess up. I need to try the Vette and the Mazda I think. You can keep the 4wd and fwd cars...I don't care how much faster they are.:yuck:

Edit: I do drive the Lambo, but it handles more like a standard MR even though it's 4wd in GR4

I bet that's @Invisigoth's fault. :P

Tsukaba, Interlagos and Tokyo again.

Where can I see the future races. I went into the calendar on the Gran Turismo site but I don't see it.
What Group will it be at Interlagos ? (Interlagos is my most successful track 114 races, 7 wins, 39 top five)
