However there seem to be plenty people that don't care about finishing races at all. I had rooms where 40% either quit or got DQ'd during the race. A new race starts every 10 minutes, nothing lost if you just want to cause trouble in the next event.

It's actually alarming how frequently people in the top 5 disconnect after they screw up and drop behind the pack. They'll either completely lose their minds and begin dive ramming people until they DQ out or simply disconnect. I can't imagine having so little self control of your own emotions that you take out your frustrations on other innocent drivers like that but the anonymity of the internet makes people think that they can behave however they want without it reflecting on their character.

Ok, check this out. I can kind of understand a time penalty for hitting a wall (should be maybe be a half second, if anything, because you already slowed yourself down). But how the hell can you justify an SR down, as well? Pretty inept programming, I'd say. I had to scrub 22 seconds worth of penalties at the end, without doing anything that made anybody mad.

Sven, I'm making progress. Down to 60.

I had to pick up my kids, back to racing now. @Vegard is on pole.

Brazil again. There's only 2 of them in the race, I get the bump passer on me. Congrats to @Vegard, he got rammed as well, dropped out of the top for a while but made it back to first. I finished 5th. -4 SR to 40 thanks to Brazil.

It's things like what happens in @Vegard and @GOTMAXPOWER's videos that really make one appreciate this game. Close, polite and clean racing. I would have been gutted to lose by this kind of margin if I were @Vegard or the guy in @GOTMAXPOWER's video, but at the same time happy to have taken part in a great battle. I'm sure I would have preferred such a result over a free or easy win. :)

Don’t understand this. On my second account as a BB, had a race against some filthy drivers and got my SR knocked down to a C. Next race finished second with a clean race bonus and fastest lap and had my DR and SR slashed down to CC, losing nearly 10k DR points?? WTF?? Fuming.

Now that was fun! I finally met Sven in race C. We both started at the back. He got 4th. I got 5th. No penalties.
Sven, I didn't mean to block you on the first lap. I wasn't paying attention to which way you were going.

Neither was I lol, my wife just got home which makes the dog go crazy. Didn't mean to bump you.

Wow, that lag in that race just now. I got blocked on the straight by Brazil, that costs so much time! Awesome race, typical commuter traffic. Well done, I still had 3.150 left on the clock from Argentina, your 3 flat beat me haha :) Unfortunately my SR went up to 43, see you next race I hope, or I can spend some SR on 'education'

Well well well, my first expérience with GT Sport online this evening and I must say that it was a great experience. The présentation is really slick and the races I had , 2* GT4 and 1* GT3, went fine. No rammers and no pushing around. Made a small mistake because someone braked way way to early for a corner and I couldn't avoid that person. Still I thought it was correct to wait for this person and let him pass. So I did and that solved into that 11th place.... Managed to get 3th, 11th and 3th. No chance against all the lambos in GR4. Simply ridiculous they all drive that car and not the machines where the heart lies. 3th places I got simply because of a steady drive :D All clean and no penalties, great first experience!

Clean is the only way to race, if you don't you might get the win in 1 but you know you'll be put in the wall for the next 5. The guy in my video started at the front so I'm sure he has 100x the wins I have, me stealing one can't hurt too badly!

Damn, and there was no one to 'educate' in the race. Finished 6th, +2 SR, 45, doh.
I just checked, I’ll be starting out at SR 56 tonight. Warming up now, see you shortly fellas. :)
7th place. 31
I had some positive SR going, but some dude unghosted right in front of me. SR down. I'm not racing dirty. Haven't hit anybody on purpose, today. Just being aggressive, and not cutting any slack to those who mess up in front of me. Having fun. 👍

I don't see you in the next race, all SR.B and two SR.A. @Vegard is still rising up, 2:08 lap well done!

Bah too clean, even the Brazilians are behaving. I did have a mishap with one after he screwed up and lagged in front of me. Yet he was perfectly clean when I caught up with him again. Now my SR is 52. I guess I'll see Pigems tonight. It's time to make dinner first.

So based on the data that @Hoof Arted posted, would you say the biggest cause of difficulty is the generally small playerbase? Sort of like a decent amount of online games where the active population beings to gradually skew more towards highly-skilled players over time? The difficulty with obtaining the poles/wins trophies may be independent of the matchmaking algorithm(s), here...

Getting into the swing of daily races again this week.

Race A again I'm out of the running because all the top times are with h-shifter. A shame as the Mazda is good fun round this track.

Race B I'm consistently terrible at Interlagos with Gr.3 (though it's one of my favourite track with Gr.4), but I had a shock win last night with the McLaren F1. Just can't get the braking for T1 right, too much understeer.

Race C the top times are doing something interesting at the last hairpin. Seems like the old GT5/6 drift to maintain maximum speed is back. But not all people can do it consistently. On the Asia/Oceania board the top 4 times are like 0.5 sec above the rest who can't do it. I can't do it with braking/weight transfer alone, but I found a nice little trick that allows me to emulate it, but not perfectly. Gains 0.2 sec which is quite handy. It's not sustainable in the race though because your rear left tyres will be shot.

Damn, I got issues with my lap not recording. Game says that I should check my internet connection, even though it was totally fine all across the board.

Went from 17th to 7th in the first race, there were lots of penalties at the end but it was a pretty clean race over all. Finished with a Blue B. I did have a wicked drag race up the straight with an Aston Martin on lap 6, pretty much dead even until I got draft bumped from behind for the win!

If only it was only lap 7. :)

That happened to me before too, I beat my time by 3 tenths or something and saved my replay/ghost. But the time never updated to the new time, I could load the ghost car from that time but it never showed up on any board.

Here it is. I was never near this guy until this lap. He hits the wall, then I hit a wall, trying to avoid him. I bump into him, after coming off the wall, then he decides to end my race. So now he's on the list. Every time I ever see him again, his race will be ended. To be fair I let him know that, post-race. @Skinny McLean sorry, bud. That's how some of us roll.

On a side note, I'm pretty happy about the way I got around that final hairpin. That was one of my best.

That was pretty bad of him, but you should have saw that coming. Always wait and watch the replay before you get heated or stuff like that happens. You really didn't even bother his race so I am not sure why he acted that way.

Sven, Sturk, what’s the quickest way to drop SR without touching another car or affecting anyone elses race?

Why would I have expected that? I didn't do anything to him. Well, he ended up at E after the race, so I suppose he just gets off on doing stuff like that.

Wow what a (expletive)!

I didn’t see that coming. I thought he was gonna P.I.T you...

Well he did pit you lol

Seriously, I would put him on the list as well

Drive backwards on the straight, turn around when the DQ timer starts going, wait until SR Down shows, repeat. You will be ghosted and only annoy people with yellow flags

Bah I want to race with you guys, got to help my kid with his math homework first and turn on the bbq to finish dinner.
