Just in case anyone wants/needs to know, pitting at the end of lap 5 seems to be the quickest way in Race C. I've pitted on 6 mostly and you can end up gaining places like this, if the cars who've pitted have traffic on their outlap but otherwise they'll clear you, it can be worth a gamble though.

Not pitting is an option and I've seen some come close to winning doing it but unless you are clearly faster than everyone else you will probably not be able to make it work and with worn tyres and fuel saving too it's probably not worth the hassle to do this.
I did one race this morning, opting to not pit. Had to mess about with fuel settings a little mid race as I started a little too keenly. The tyres were literally in pieces by lap 9, by which point I'd stuck the brake balance forward to take a little strain off of the rears. Last lap was pretty much spent drifting around the fast corners, but I managed to gain one position all in all. Next time I'm pitting!

Had a few good races at Suzuka today, managing the fuel, and stopping for just tyres usually got me up 4 or 5 places. Couldn't work out how some were managing to start on pole, not stop for tyres or fuel, run fastest lap, and win by 20 seconds.

Having seen the tyre glitch mentioned in this forum, I can see how they manage it now......

so... the word is out already?

Looks like it - not sure how long the glitch has been around, but I asked the same question 2 or 3 weeks ago, as I was sure that some people had found something that helped them in the C dailies.

Had a look at a couple of replays, and all I could see was that they never pitted - didn't think to look at the tyre wear!

Not one of my strongest runs. But with all the rage quitting and spin outs, I gained quite a bit on the grid. Was hit by a Brazilian driver in Lap 3 that prevented me from finishing 6th or better, though.

Improved quite a few places :)
And yes the hit from the Brazilian was not nice!

This is soooo bad :( I missed my very first ranking in top 10 on GR.1 on Yamagiwa in lack of 0.03secs... and now i have no time to play again : ( Have pity on me plssss :D

That sucks.
btw I think I met you in the Daily C yesterday, did you drive the Huracan? I think I hit you at one point braking towards the slow right, sorry for that!
Was a very bad race for me, apparently GTS still matches me to the top group in Gr. 4 but I am not up to the task in Gr. 4 (and Gr. 3 and Gr. 1...). Too many people who have too much experience and make hardly any mistakes. Started 12th, made maybe 2 mistakes in 10 laps (maybe lost 7 seconds) and ended up 19th out of 20...

1:15:899 atm with Gr.1. Still 2-3 tenths on track to be found on a perfect lap.

I’ll be linking another one shortly. 2nd place this time.

And still 2-3 seconds to be found on your lap for us humans

Tbh I have been enjoying quite a lot the TT. I made 5 or 6 races but I have a lot of fun trying to shave tenths on my own lap times too. And it's been fun losing and regaining the 1st spot. :)

...is there a bug on a chart left where hybrid is written HYbrid? Lol I think I noticed this in races, but forgot...

I think so. There’s another vehicle in my garage with a lowercase error.

Glad you're too busy enjoying the TT to stop us mere mortals stuck in the 16s from collecting wins

Will leave my lap here. :)
WR at the moment (Americas was 1:16;116 and Asia 1:15:925). You still have time to beat it ofc. But I can't be bother to wake up at whatever time the daily races change. :D

Please remove the “Brazilian”. His background has nothing to do with the comment.

Are you a moderator? If you are, I’ll edit my post accordingly. However, the video clearly shows that I was hit by a Brazilian player. And it was a dirty play. So I’m merely stating what happened. But again, I’ll edit it if it makes everyone feel better. Maybe “Dirty Brazilian” sounds a bit harsh.

You sucked badly through the S at the bottom, at least 0.05 more to be found there :p

I guess 0.005 :D

But really, I went through the first sector several times at 18:83X and second sector at .2 but spoiled it in the second half of the track. :dunce:

So what was your OPT time then?

I don't know for sure because I only do 1 lap at a time (I restart if I see I'm not nailing it on the first corner if needed be). But from the several different laps I spoiled at different points on the track, I'd say a low 15:7 or high 15:6 was my optimal.

Sounds like an unhygienic waxing job

I just had a particularly bad string of dirty races in GR.1. I don't understand why it's only 4 laps, was it supposed to be on the combination track instead? it's too short for just Yamagiwa!

Anyway will try again later when the kids have gone to bed. Crash DR/SR in the late afternoon / early evening, restore late evening / early night. It's the normal cycle.

Nice lap !

Got down to a 1:16.353 with still some on the table, was #5 EU when i quit. My best sector 1 times were 18.9 vs 19.1 on my best lap so definitely still some room for improvement.

Did 4 races and got pole, fast lap and win on all 4 winning me a whopping 700 DR... The fields were not that strong unfortunately.

I went for no pit! Started 15th, finished 4th although it was a bit squeeky bum through the esses on laps 9 and 10

So, what are the daily races today? I presume race c will have tyre wear given the short notice for pd to do anything. I'm not a fan of race a-b generally but, as I'm not going near tyre wear races with a bargepole until fixed, I'm hoping for a good combo!

No idea, I'm at work... approximately 10 hours until I will have my PS4 back on :)

You think there is a real issue with tyre wear then?

I'll check in an hour or so... But presuming it will be 86GT in A, since 2000GT was few days here, and it is just yesterday for 86.
