There's almost no point in doing races as an S/S when there's no other S/S's in the lobby. I was just in a room as the lone S/S, with only a couple A/S, and the rest being a mix of B/S and C/S. I won pole, set fastest lap, and won with a clean race bonus and literally got less than 100 DR points. But if I got crashed out on the first lap by some dummy and finished 12th I'd lose probably 2000-3000 DR points and my SR would tank as well. Not even worth the trouble.
Well, after a clean race I'm back at C again. But yes, I will be one of those guys from now on. Sorry, but I can drive clean races. I was always backing off or just let you pass if you cut corners or hit me. But not anymore. And it feels like a relief. I even didn't dare to race anymore.
Okay, after all the frustration about the rating system I gained some points back. But now the penalty system is killing me. Some days it's hard to be a GTS driver I guess.

First I cut the corner. Yeah, I know. But watch this video and see if it is worth 10 seconds for a very small mistake of my side. I'm playing with a controller and the fast corners are pretty hard to take full throttle.
After that race I did another one. Again 10 seconds penalty for overtaking under yellow flag. Oh boy..
Yeah, I know. But today's C race wasn't my cup of tea. Maybe later. I managed to gain 30 points in 4 races on race B thoughYou need to do daily C races to raise SR. Kyoto is probably only worth 4 points max, while Alsace is at least 13 points. I got 20 points for one race on Big Willow yesterday. Started at 66 from the Monza madness, was back to 99 3 races later.
Why is the orange SR shown then above the penalty counter? The same with the other SR messages that I sometimes see, with the player in it. Is it me getting a SR hit, or the other guy?The penalty for cutting those fast chicanes is very tough.. I guess the gain from doing it and the potential for carnage is bad. Yellow flag one is just bad luck. If cars are stopped/going that slow it shouldnt count.
You dont get SR hit for cuts and yellow flags though.

Great GIF btw!!

Tried the Lexus and I would‘ve made a mid 31 if it wasn‘t for the game to start matchmaking 5 seconds too early![]()
Did the FIA race, from P19 to P9 with the Ferrari, only bad thing there was I haven’t driven it before and unfortunately messed up the qualifying but recovered in the race and had a really clean race with a british guy in an NSX 👍
I then did two Kyoto races in the AMG (P12 to P9(?)) and the Lexus (P14 to P6(?)). Was good fun as everyone just removed himself on those two races and I managed to stay on track![]()
Respectfully, Sven, it’s your fault for putting your car there. That is such a vulnerable position, and the track out point for that corner is against the far left white line. An unaware car on the inside line will do exactly what happened there.Sometimes the opportunity arises for instant pay back and you simply can not let it lie. After getting hit at the start of the GR.1 race on Big Willow a couple times I had enough of it. This person did not get away with it.

B/S driver with 990 races experience, very easy corner to hold your line, no doubt that was on purpose.
Since I was going to be last anyway, surgical strike incoming.

No others harmed, fast, clean, justice.
The penalty system doesn't detect these little yet fatal bumps. Heck I still had a neutral rating after picking up another 15 sec worth of faulty yellow flag penalties, finished in 6th.

Trying again...

Just curious, but what was the alternative? The other guy was faster, so he gave him some room. But after that he claims all the space there is.Respectfully, Sven, it’s your fault for putting your car there. Is him closing the door a bad idea? Sure. Was he aware you were there? Maybe if he had the radar on the MFD. Should you rely on all opponents using the radar and having spatial awareness? No.
Your behaviour as far as punting him is reprehensible and just confirmation that you already were frustrated and had the red mist due to earlier contact from other drivers.
So although thank you for sharing the gifs , the format is neat, you are equally or more at fault then the car on the inside.

Sure so at the exit point of that corner, two racing lines are always going to merge into one. It’s inevitable and so is contact unless there is a tarmac run off area outside the racing surface.Just curious, but what was the alternative? The other guy was faster, so he gave him some room. story of my race after I have more than a beer or twop made a tiiiiiiny mistake and spun, finished 12th![]()
Today seems like a “if you can’t beat em join em” kinda day, tried the Porsche, viper and R35 and can’t break into 1:35 on Kyoto. Get in the M6 and get it first try. Feel like I could do better in the viper but it’s a bit too wild

I was there because of the laggy car in front I had to brake for, swerving erratically. He was behind me and saw an opportunity. I usually take the apex late in T2 but saw him coming and left him room on the inside instead of cutting him off. I guess he was pissed since I started in a Porsche and passed him at the start, as he was driving e a Mazda. The two races before I got pushed off by a Mazda in T1 and T2 as well. Am I supposed to not accelerate at the start?
Anyway I switched to the Bugatti afterwards and upped my qualifying time to start further to the front. Less traffic to slow down T2, problem solved.
Here's the full video (didn't want to put it right here since names are visible)
I guess, this website converts the link anyway lol, embedded automatically.
Anyway I seldom retaliate, yet 3 times in a row, with an opportunity like that, not sorry.

While I don’t blame you feeling like he is taking you out intentionally, in a racd like that I yeild and live to fight at the next few corners. Once someone catches you and gets on the inside, they have the advantage. staying there and pressing them to be polite and leave you plenty of room at the next corner is usually a strategy for disaster. 90% of drivers, maybe more, will drive hard into the next turn expecting you to be behind them by then. Their focus will be on guarding the inside at the next turn from you, not letting you back by and being a Gentlemen. After all, they did catch you, right?
Think about it this way, first rule of racing, protect your car so you’ll be there at the end. Second rule, don’t expect everyone to do the right thing and help you protect your car.
Retaliation usually comes to my mind when i’m hit from the rear, brake checked or similar. Basically when a slower driver tries to keep you from advancing with dirty tricks, not when i’m in someone elses way.
Problem is, I would have to stop completely as there is the whole train behind himNo spot to merge in to safely. Next time I'll cut him off not to get into that situation again! Btw he already hit my rear in T1, my mistake for giving him another chance, I was focused on not hitting the laggy car in front of me. Anyway, I passed him in lap 4 after he was in the dirt from hitting another car, haven't seen him since.
I'll continue to give people room when it's the other way around. It's not that hard not to hit people and winning is not that important, especially not in T2 in a 12 lap race. Swapping places is more fun than cutting off and blocking.
