I haven't' got experience on the track - do people use the shortcut in race as well ? Also, I can imagine it can get quite fierce on that narrow track, is it a crash fest usually ?
Yo Joe, I don’t know if they use it during race too, but to be honest, I don’t care because I won’t enter the race either. I think at least they‘ll try, but I can only imagine their snitchiness around that track as there is absolutely no room for mistakes. Once you’re punted off track it’s practically Game Over I guess. I drove a short Qualifying Session and managed a 1:23:1xx,just ABS,8 Seconds slower than the Aliens , guess I need more „practice „:sly:

I "see it" ... enough said, thank you ;).

Interlagos isn't one of my strong suits, so I took the Top 10 before anyone fast tries their hand on this race :D

I also got disconnected during the matchmaking! :D
trashes the whole room
I just missed the chance to have my name on the top ten table as I am too late to get a qualifying time. Haha:yuck: Super star already woke up:bowdown:

 and by the way, I really love that track, it’s technically and cool to drive it, but just in Lobbies.

Indeed. It's one of my favorite tracks too and a real challenge to be quick there. It's a pity, you basically have to refuse racing there, if you like proper competition.

Raced 3 times in Interlagos.

1st race (5th start all A/S) race almost finished at the 1st corner. Lost near 900 DR

2nd race (Pole 2A 2B & Ds) surprisingly absolutely clean though I missed the win due to error at one corner and finished 2nd. Nice race. Gain 6 DR

Last race (2nd all A/S) clean race again. Accidentally ran out of track limit at 2nd corner and be given 8s penalty. Picked myself up and finished 3rd. Up 580 Dr

Sr back to 99 after 3 races

Finally got my driver rating up to A Thursday. All them days of easy wins are history now.

Made worse that I was doing the Yamagiwa race and quickly found out that the track did not suit me at all. That chicane easily makes my list of most hated corners in all of racing. Haven't had too many issues with penalties there although that's more because I usually ended up being too slow for the fast pack but too fast for the next group.

Naturally, it therefore made perfect sense when the track got flipped backwards, my name showed up (barely) on the Top 10 stars leaderboard. Guess the aliens in my area had stayed away.

I did drop in the Willow race for a bit, a track that I never was good at. It was so bad my first time, I ended up getting lapped because I was either clipping the sand or getting nudged into it. The best I could do is drive the Viper (and later the GT-R) in safe mode so I could keep the car on track. Started near the rear a lot of times and somehow ended up Top 6 most of the time. Obviously, when I qualified much closer to the front. I got slammed well off track, pinballed and just about everything else.

Finally, tried Interlagos Gr.3 with the GT-R but could not get the power planted at all. No way I was going to turn on assists so I bought the R8. The 1:31.7xx was a result of a great launch off the final corner that I get right maybe 1 out of a 20 times.

CSA and TCS are not glitches.

Hate the game for where and how its wrong. Hate CSA for giving extra stability for more aggressive lines, not as a glitch. Hate TCS for giving people crutches, not as a glitch.

And I think the Mach1 is made to be driven, since it's a car

Edit: Just to clarify, I side with you on the Willow Springs cutting glitch. An update has already passed and yet the glitch still exists. Seriously PD?

Yeah, just to clarify I consider getting a quick time in a Mach1 with loads of anti oversteer aids on and driving *too* those aids to be glitching. Technically it's not a glitch in a computing sense, maybe an exploit? Dunno, either way PD should be looking at the top 10 times for every race every day and thinking "hmmmm, is this how we envisaged the cars being driven by the "best"?

Sometimes it's very good as for whatever reason the track and quickest car combo means clean *real* driving is the quickest option, sometime, like today.....oh dear oh dear.

PS- Anyone remember original MotoGP when the slide glitch was exploited? You could get the bike into a fixed slide state which, far from being slower and less stable, was quicker through all corners. The top ten guys were twitch sliding those bikes around every track utterly utterly unrealistically. Not a glitch, but not a racing game either.

I agree with you, especially with Race A today. I also understand how you don't like CSA (and TCS) being used by Top 10 people, but it's still not a glitch or an exploit, because they work as intended. In the MotoGP example you gave, I think that's a legitimate glitch since the developers didn't intend the motorcycles to behave that way when sliding. CSA is designed from the get-go to induce enhanced stability.
My argument is just me being nit picky, but I agree with you in general :)

I was surprised how clean the races were today! 2 clean race bonuses in a row....on Interlagos!? Damn :D

1st race I started 5th and had two S/S guys from the Top10 in front of me. Came in 3rd in the end. Close behind the Top2 guys. So I'm happy with that result.
2nd race again on 5th and again the two S/S guys on front. Managed to overtake 2 guys and was back at the tail of them. The french guy overtook the leader, but touched him slightly, so race over. He lost control of his car and rage quitted later. The leader still had 3 sec of Penalty and I crossed the line with 1sec behind him. Giving me the win! :)

Not much more and I'm at S/S too (Even though I dont belong there IMO)

The Mach 1 drives pretty well on Streets of Big Willow. I was concerned that it wouldn’t be a good experience. I think the last daily I participated in featuring this course was with the RX-7 a few weeks ago, which was a little frustrating to drive. The Mach 1 seems to handle it a bit better.

Oh, and I think my strategy will be to build my SR back up to an S. I can live with a D for my DR, so if I have to finish in the bottom half of the grid, so be it. I just want to get out of this destruction derby.

Damn y'all are fast
I consider l agos my best track, but I usually qualify with a 33.0. Haven't gotten out of bed yet, I'll post my qual time for today when I do

My DR was just at a little over 7K this morning and after one race, I shot back up to 9,145. So I’m back at high C.

I’m down to 7K DR. Perhaps the biggest drop of my Sport Mode career. I keep getting matched up in grids with C-E class drivers (as a B). Not only is my DR struggling since the update. I keep getting abused by other drivers. It’s been like this since this week’s update. It’s not all that fair considering I was earning good DR after the previous update and had some clean streaks. What the hell is going on?
No offense, but upon checking your kudos prime stats, your Sr is E. Dropping your Sr will result in large Dr drops

I've been fighting with the F1500 races in the GT League since the update that gave us that wretched car. Today was my first daily since the update. Interlagos with the Beetle.

It wasn't the cleanest of races, but I don't think I saw any dirty driving. Interestingly despite being rear ended a few times and accidentally nudging someone off, no SR penalty. I did slow down at the next corner and keep to the outside to let him re-gain position, but I doubt the game takes that into account.

I qualified 9th, but only because 6 of the 7 cars behind me didn't bother to qualify. I wasn't paying much attention to position, I was too focused on staying on the track, but must have somehow got up to 3rd at some stage. My only clue was that when I messed up a bit, 4th and 5th went past me and the race isn't long enough for me to be a back marker! The time penalty system seems to work. Although I didn't slow down, the time penalty I incurred didn't go up, but didn't drop either. I crossed the line 6th, but finished 8th. Fair call. Even picked up a few points!

It’s not at D/E anymore. I’m currently sitting at C/C after racing twice this morning.

I had a pretty bad week where I was unable to beat C and D driver ratings. Then my sportsmanship rating started to drop, which I had been struggling to keep at a B.

Interlagos is a surprisingly hard track to master. It's quite easy to learn, but knowing where you shave off those final tenths is the real challenge. The last time I touched lagos I was running the same times as you, and quite honestly I'm not sure how I brought it down to a high 31. I still run mostly the same line as I did when I was doing 33s. I guess being braver with the throttle can help :D

Aye, 32.786. That's my best time at Lagos I believe.

@Alpha Cipher, and other 1:31.xxx peeps, what car are you using?

As expected, I'm slinging my Viper around here

Man, I love driving on this track. I had never heard of it before GTS, but man it is fun. I wish this track existed in the U.S.!

You posted the same time as the one I raced with a while back... Do you happen to have the day 1 Red Bull F1 livery?
Oh nvm sorry I confused you for someone on the Europe servers

@Alpha Cipher I don’t think so
No Corvette on the grid though my vantage was dressed in Red Bull livery:D

Though we were not in the same race. Amazingly you knows my livery:bowdown::cheers:

I usually stay away from Gr. 3 races because I never really know which car to pick. The 458 Italia was my go-to at first, but it’s fallen out of favor. Can anyone recommend another good car in that class? I’m sure they’re all solid. I’m just unsure.
