I've always liked the 911 around there, or the FT-1. The Evo is stable but not tried it myself.

Not sure how well the Lexus gets round there but may be worth a try.

I tried the M4 and improved my time, then drove the Corvette and improved again so now I'm 1.33.280.
That gave me grid pos 6 in the next race.... But I will race with the Atenza :-)

It's not even sarcastic! Clawing my way back to 2nd from pole was the most intense race I've had :)

I missed the Asia region so I'm about to do the second to last Nations on the Europe region :p

I'm a clean racer but a slow racer

Look me up on that grid. No I was 99/99 until I got rammed off the road 3 times yesterday in sport mode. Now I'm 92

I would love to join any of u in a lobby if u would invite me or tell me how to find u

911 have always been my go to car and I drove some laps with it again and now I raced two races and placed 2nd in both. I think we are back in love ....
 
For what it's worth, I made a room in the lobby called gtplanet clean race and I set up a race at interlagos
 
I just did the Nations cup today... And it reminded me why I stopped it long ago :)
Too many people want to win because there's more at stake; combine that with Interlagos... yeah..
Multiple divebombs were attempted upon me, and thank god I was able to see it beforehand and dodge

The lowest part of the race is when someone knocked off the first braking board at T4; made me think that the second board (my braking point) is the first board... Thankfully I missiled past the person in front of me and didn't hit them directly...
 
Yeah Interlagos is always interesting. I went from 18th on the grid to 5th, and I don't think I had to overtake anyone during the race, was all just crashes and penalties in front of me. Only penalty I got was when the fastest guy on the track (1:31.8) decided that taking a penalty on the racing line on the Curva do Sol was a good idea and I hit him in the back, so he gets filed under fast but stupid column.
 
I was A/S before I started today and what a dirty bunch of racers, kept getting punted off everywhere and got a few just braking in front of me so I'd get a penalty and now I'm B/B so not very happy, why can't ppl just race properly!!
 
After dinner, Interlagos turned into Carnage-Lagos. Haven't had a clean race, I got sandwiched between some cars and we all got penalties, a Marlboro-liveried RSR kept on punting me and another RSR, and SR dropped to C. I was S last week.

There was a funny thing, though: a spanish a-hole in a 911 was serving a penalty on the main straight, last lap. I passed him on the right, and as he saw me he swerved right immediately. Somehow, though, he ghosted, so I went through him and he went into the wall, and was overtaken by a Beetle as well. As Fernando would say: "Karma!" :lol:

I was getting pingponged in first race.. Started 4th, made it to 2nd by 1st chicane just to be slammed to dust and punished while at it. I think I had total of 30s penalties without actually doing anything illegal, went from 2nd to 18th asks back to 7th lol.

Other races that day tho pretty good, think I just had bad batch..

You were B/S, and you can get SR points back in a couple of races, don't sweat it.
 
I received a NINE seconds penalty for...no idea actually, I was driving by myself, went a bit tight into the two corners that are performed as a big one (don't remember the name), and was awarded this huge penalty. I was 4th, had to serve it, ended in the middle of the pack...or rather, in the middle of Omaha beach. Ended 11th after various punts.
 
My poor R8 at Interlagos got battered by everyone in a A/S room. Sidewiped off the track at T1. Rammed off the track at T1. Bumped and spun off the track at T1. That's what happens when you're the slowest down the straight.

Got into the Viper which I found more consistent and gave me some needed breathing space. Only did a few races since having to watch my rear view constantly and dodging slow cars ahead was too much.
 
Is this a glitch? I was C/C, had one race where I started 4th and arrived 4th, had two penalty episodes (both of them were 1 second penalties that I decided to pay post-race), now I'm D/E with 1 SR. I basically lost 50 SR in a single race, which wasn't the dirtiest of the day by far, plus about 2000 DR in a race where I didn't improve or worsen my starting position. WTH?

Maybe? I had a dramatic drop in DR/SR lastnight that left me at D/E. It was the worst I’d ever seen since I started playing Sport Mode. And I didn’t do anything differently. You’re the only other person I’ve read of having a similar experience.

Yeah, it makes absolutely no sense. Also, now that I'm in a D/E lobby, I get punted by EVERY other opponent. I just had a 911 exit from Lagos' last corner way slower than me. I went on the inside to overtake, he closed me and we both ended on the tire wall before the pits, then he quit. This low in the ranks, it's unplayable.

Oh, another worth mentioning: an Italian idiot with a Gr.3 Genesis who decided to pull the handbrake right before the finish line, right in front of me, hoping to somehow save his position from the penalty he had. Luckily the game ghosted him...

Keep in mind that I also experienced the DR glitch where mine shot up to 20K despite being a C/E. Did your DR increase dramatically before the descent?
 
Well, not only am I new here. Apparently, I'm also a moron. :dunce:

Pirovac asked me what the room ID was and I didn't know how to answer because I thought the room name identified the room.

My apologies. It would have been nice to race with you guys.

After 3 consecutive clean races yesterday, something that shocked and pleased me, I was battered from every which way and didn't want to have my day ruined today.

A few guys came in, all with Canadian flags. They raced clean and slaughtered me because I set it to any GR4 car, with no power restrictions. I should have thought that out better. My RCZ was close to stock and they were significantly faster. It was still fun.

1. Is there a way to know what the other cars in the rooms setups are?

2. Lobby racing doesn't track SR?

3. Is there a standard way to find GT Planet members rooms?

Ive run some free practice with acerboy as he reached out to me from here. I watched his IRS finals race the other night and, holy smokes, that crew is really, really good.

I'd like to run with members here who believe in pristine racing.

Nope, no DR increase, was C/C and went straight down the pipe to D/E.

The good news is that it’s pretty easy to build yourself back up. I was D/E late lastnight and am sitting at B/S right now. Just make sure to finish in the top half of the grid and string together some clean races and your ratings should gain substantially in no time.

Yeah, I just saw it...did one more Lagos race because "why not", started 8th and decided to just try and drive clean, staying away from trouble as much as possible. Ended 3rd with all my opponents throwing each other out of the race, got a clean race bonus, back to C/C.

I'll forgive you this time, GT Sport...but only this time.
