I was excited to do some races on Interlaces today, as I really like this track. But oh boy, people behave like 🤬
After 2 races I was done...

First race one guy kept on blocking and defending like a maniac. Resulting in multiple penalties I couldn't avoid.
And the second race.....well, just watch the video!

He must've been mad because he started last, or he simply is a 🤬 idk.
Not only did he ram two of us out of the race. No, he kept on trying to block others and distract them as much as he could.
But the best thing was, he managed to get the fastest lap! :odd: It looks like he managed to do that while cutting as many corners as he could. And he still has an S Rank, what a great Sportsman :yuck::lol:

Btw, I'm glad PD finally made ghosting for lapped cars permanent! 👍

What is the enjoyment of doing that  :nervous:

I'm most likely going to switch Manufacturers, on the 24th. I've been using the Mustang, but might go BMW. Moreso for immersion purposes.

I figure Aston, BMW and Porsche(kind of) have the more realistic program of cars. I like the Aston, but it's old. The BMWs are pretty up to date. The Porsches are pretty new. However, I think the RSR is out of place for G(t).3.

I love the look of the Jags, RC Fs and nsxs. I haven't sampled the C7s as yet(I wish the Camaro was a Gr.4, that's make it a whole lot easier to spend 350k.

Don't care about the "cheat" M4. I just want to feel like I'm making a race team that participate in both series like Steven Richards Motor sports, using bmws.

It all depends on how they react after making a mistake. If they pass you anyway then sorry means nothing. If they brake and not pass you then I believe you. If they pass then slow down to serve the penalty later, you're just sorry you got caught.

Maybe they arn't slowing down to serve a penalty. A few times I've nudged someone off track unintentionally, then waited for them to get back on track and pass me before continuing.

I AM SO TIRED OF PEOPLE SLAMMING ON THEIR BRAKES TO BLEED A PENALTY WHEN THEY ARE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME CAUSING ME TO RAM THEM AND GETTING A 5 SECOND PENALTY. I HATE BEING DR A.

Or maybe they just made a mistake. On Monza during one of the GR1 races I lost focus, got a bit lost and braked at the first bridge instead of the second bridge for the chicane. I didn't notice anyone in the radar, but got royally slammed from behind. I'm pretty sure they must have thought I had slammed on the anchors for a penalty. Mind you if I need to bleed speed for penalty I usually pull over to one side.

I took a chance driving the Supra around Suzuka. That was a worthy enough adventure for me to share once I have it.

Otherwise, I did a few rounds at Interlagos with the Gr.4 Vantage. First time, the game didn't give me new tires for some reason. I could've goofed for all I know. No surprise, all the other races had the M4 brigade but I did my best against them. Not the most exciting but...

I also tried to readjust my feet memory to compensate for the throttle issue. Can't say it has had much success so I'll need to keep yelling at myself mentally.

You pushed the M4 for 7 laps. Somehow the M4 still got enough fuel to lead you over 25s in the end. I had similar exp last night. Frustrated:grumpy:

Anyway you did your best. Nice and clean drive:tup:

Secured today my 100th sport mode race win after 377 (finished) race *happy* :dopey:
Race C Gr.3 at Mount Panorama will be fun again! @Zkippe hopefully we'll race each other today again

Important: Did anyone else get the error NE-210BF0BF ? :scared: (Europe: Luxembourg)
After a quick research I found out that the disconnect problem is probably caused by server problems from Gran Turimso / PD themselves...
I already got today two disconnects during a sport mode race due to this error after 1 1/2h of game time. The first time I thought it could be because the daily races switched, but now having raced at Bathurst and in the 6 / 8 laps and having a gap of about 12 sec to the second car, I figured that this couldn't be normal...
Feedback / your experiences would be much appreciated. I hope nobody of you has to 'suffer' from this issue but I also hope that it's not a problem of my own inet connection.

What a ****. Hopefully multiple people reported him.

I've lost 1000 DR points in only 2 races this evening in race C because of stupid guys making crazy blocking moves.
It's a shame to see that kind of guys in A | S rooms...

I was in a race with you at 20.30 (UK time, so 21.30 for you)... you are right, it was awful. Interlagos on Saturday was very well-mannered, everyone was driving well and being patient but last night it felt that every corner someone was diving for the inside. I can't remember the amount of times I was "overtaken" because someone went flying too fast for a corner meaning I had to concede or get penalties. That is not how to earn positions. So disappointing. In the end I got fed up of being in the pack of about 12th-18th so I pitted early (lap 5) and had a clear outlap to myself, 2 laps later after everyone else has pitted I am in 6th among two other British guys (1 ahead, 1 behind but to my side) I am drafting the guy in 5th (not sure if you recall the name CH4D_L4D something) on the straight and he just slammed the brakes on causing me to spin out and get a penalty (reported him). By the time I pulled over and served it I dropped to 16th. :( I checked the replay after and after doing that he just quit. Tosser. Lost 7 SR points as well

I did the 19.30 as well and had similar thing... T1 and the first turn of the twisty bit were particularly bad for people disobeying the racing line to try and take positions. As I said, after Saturday's group 3 on Interlagos I thought we'd turned a corner (I haven't raced Interalgos since I lost 20 odd SR points there a few months back) but it seems the weekend was a one-off. Come to think of it, that time I said I would not race Interlagos again was also group 4 💡

T1 was a mess and I had people divebombing me (3x?) through the back half of the track up until I got some space around lap 3. Then I catch up to P5 and tail him up until lap 8 where I make a clean pass. Hold the position until final lap then the guy tries to shove past me on every corner by out braking on the inside.

Yeah... so annoying. Luckily I didn't have time for any more races as I might have entered and regretted another!

I don't exactly want to establish a rapport with muppets like him...
Just kidding
A legitimate question though: Has anyone actually been affected with the report button?

I was also wondering this...

Been disconnected twice so far today here, only been playing around an hour, perhaps there is a server issue? Get the odd disconnect sometimes but 2 already today seems a little odd.

Going to UK to try my own livery Megane as first choice.

Guess TC-Touny will appear again, he's a morning guy too :)

Edit:
One game destroys me again.
Same game.

I had 2 very clean races out there. The M4s ahead and behind me knew they don't need to rush and waited for my pit. 1 M4 even off the racing line to let me pass when i was approaching him. So nice and gentle.

That idiot is another one of 'these guys' who have been bugged into a higher rank and wreck peoples races until they drop back down to where they came from.
Come on PD, get this bug fixed.
:boggled::boggled::boggled: he is 2000 DP above me. :ouch::ouch::ouch:
Never understand why someone would play the game in this way.

Became Dr A after 89 days of "hard" work on tracks. i don't know this bug and will never do it.:scared:

Here is my best time with the GT-R Nismo GT3 aka Godzilla until now. Srewed up the last corner pretty badly (not good exit speed due to lack of grip) but otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with the lap. On other laps I was a bit faster in different sections / corners, but it's very hard to achieve 'the perfect lap' without making one little mistake.
The M6 is a bit easier to drive and I'm sure that I will be able to get a better quali time with the BMW, but I wanted to represent Nissan in the top10 to show what is possible :)

Frustrating night again on Q times... could only get to a 1:38.942 in the end, optimal 1:38.4xx :banghead:

Might have to start familiarising myself with the BMW :boggled:

I'm unfortunately a victim of this...:banghead:

I really wish they would fix it now as once I get my SR back to S I'll be matched with drivers that are better than me for at least 10 days... which is so frustrating and demotivating driving at the back of the grid for 10 days straight.

@Robben Do you mean Interlagos? Which car did you use?

Yeah, Interlagos group 4 last night. GT by Citroen... after 10 or so laps, I thought I should probably try a different car, but by then I start worrying that my gaming time is running out, so better to carry on with the car I "know" best.

Would have tried the Genesis if I had more time.

@Robben a brave man you are. 👍 Seldom race against GT by Citroen in Asia.
TT is my choice of Gr4 though i love BMW. Don't have the skill to drive the M4 M6 cleanly and properly.

Sounds like those guys who crash into other cars during a race then say sorry on the post race, like that makes it better for ruining someone’s race. Always makes me chuckle.
You only apologise

Its about intention. If you purposely do it then why say sorry but when your intentions are good and you screw a braking point or misjudge something then its always good to say i screwed up.

Thats better than saying nothing. I lost a victory sometime back coz i got slammed. I was fuming. As i was typing abusive message, he said sorry and i i just replied its ok.

So its better to say than keep quiet. Everyone has got screwed by someone.

Yet another odd daily race decision. Race C, Gr3 at Mount Panorama, 11 laps. Manufacturers series, Gr3 at Mount Panorama, 11 laps.

Why do they keep doing this identical race madness? They basically have the function to give us 5 unique events but seemingly don' want to. I can only guess PD is made up of people who like to offer you their sandwich on a bus and like to lick the windows after it.

There was another one in my second race last night! But yeah, you don't see it very often. It's not massively quick, but is really good on twisty sections and cornering... also tyre-wear races it is brilliant, barely suffer lack of grip. I was up against a couple of Meganes last night and it was really funny watching FF cars try and handle worn front tyres  gained 3 positions in the last 2 laps of race 1 last night.

Same re: BMW's I have never really liked driving them, but tonight it's going to be me, Brands and the M4 until I can get it right. No racing though

I like the TT, but I just don't like understeer
