Talk about bad luck. I did a lot of racing at Monza today. First I didn't qualify and got a win. Then I qualified and made number five in the top 10 US. Got more poles and more wins. Then once I was finished I backed out of sport mode and the game crashes and goes to the blue screen with an error code. I reboot the game to find I lost everything all my cars, livery's everything however I do back up my game everyday after playing but my last save was from yesterday.

I load my saved data and everything is back to normal except it now has no record that I ever won 5 more sport mode races. All that work gone and my online stats went back to the day before. Talk about getting ripped off.

I haven’t had to deal with a corrupted save, but I did load a previous save to see what would happen. I had registered 4 wins, but it was only showing as 3 on Kudos. After some time, though, it updated to the correct number. What does your in-game achievement status say?

The other stat site says the same thing. I hope your right but it's not looking good.
Most of the time I don't qualify but last night I decided to so I could start raising my DR. Then it just takes it away.

Doing some Tokyo in Race B tonight.
Never been into this track, but it is growing on me and I got a 2.10.853 in the Vantage as my best time. (B.B. +3)
Enjoyed driving the Ferrari and McLaren as well but the Vantage seems stronger on this track.
I’m B/S so this gave me 11th on grid with two A/S on top with 2.08 and 2.07 ...

Update: I did three races and got penalties in all of them. It is so tight and people are ontop of each other.
This track is clearly more fun to drive solo than in a race ....

No stop on nurb24hr seems to be the trick tonight. Im running the Corvette with shortshifting and switching FM to 3 for.the second lap and I finish with exactly enough fuel.

I'm definently not the fastest on the track but I keep placing top 3 with this strategy. Plus, i seem to be the only one doing it so I'm getting the fastest lap each race while everyone else pits. This is such a fun track idk why they don't have it up as often as the others.

I’m really bad at the ring and lapped a 8:30 in Qualify. I never race here, so I’m just in need of some help on strategies, because I want to try a race.
If someone could be so kind.
I’m driving a Porsche.

General advice would be to hog the middle lane in any form of straight on the Nurb save for the back straight. No one's gonna dare put their two wheels on the grass to pass you

Thanks guys! I started 13th and finished 10th if I remember correctly. Bad race by me overall. Don’t like racing there. I got so many small penalties from people trying to pass everywhere... I’ll stay hot lapping next time Nurb24 comes back.

I guess it's overall confidence with the car you're driving. For me, when I like using a car, feeling comfortable with its handling lets me know what i can and can't do at its limits.

I like racing at the back. However, if the opportunity presents itself for me to move up, I'll go for it. That's all cool to hot lap. Enjoy driving your car!

Erm... wanna bet? That's how I got past a couple of people. If someone is clearly faster than me on a strait and is obviously able to get to the next corner before I move to get onto my line, I pull over to let them pass. :D

Stats updated at Jason‘s site, looking good :dopey: :D

I find this funny because I forgot to mention that I had one guy who actually pulled this off on me- it might be you!
You're an outlier damnit

What are today‘s races?
Race A- BB Raceway with a Hyundai Genesis
Race B- Gr. 4 on Interlagos
Race C- Suzuka in... a Nissan R32...? What?

DR reset?

How to do it?

Did a few races saturday and sunday. Nothing really special but I remember once being pushed from the behind on a straight and I received a 1 sec penalty for that. I didn't hit anything or go outside the track. I was going full speed in Citroen and a faster Vantage gave me a little push. Must be a lag thing or something again.. Weird.

Nurb was great fun, when are we going to get a GR.1 race on this track!

I managed to squeeze in 16 races, pretty tired now. There was never a chance at winning as in every single race the same S/S driver with 8:08 qualifying time took the win. My best was 3rd, still way behind first. At least I got to finish all my races, except the one where the phone rang and when I had to answer the door, rude people interrupting! Despite those 2 aborted races, still 10K DR gained.

Racing was very clean, just one brake check from someone serving a penalty and a few inexperienced drivers misjudging their braking points. Yet by far the cleanest and best driving in a long time. Perhaps because most people crash before they can hit another car... I was starting midfield, always ending top 5, mostly from passing wrecks. Stay on the road and you'll finish well on the Nurb.

And tomorrow, looks like crap to me. Guess I'll catch up on sleep tomorrow night.

Hehe not likely. You sir, are an alien! The only time you are likely to be passing me is to lap me as a back marker :p.

Woot! Race C in Godzilla! We won't see a Bathurst version, the R32 was banned!

Yep!!!! :) Now I´m a GTS Vigilante! :)

Robben.. are you using Google Translator or do you have any "experience" on Portuguese language?

Experience with a little Spanish... and greetings in Portuguese :)

Two important things to keep in mind for Brands Hatch are rotation and patience. Surtees is a good example for patience. If you use the cone markers, use the entire width of the track at entrance, but angle the car just a bit in towards the left before you brake (the curb/painted run off on the right is deadly if you go too wide/long on braking), then brake hard at the cone and release brake smooth, but early. From here use very light throttle and steer towards apex. Don't use the inside curb. You know you hit it correct if you can keep light throttle and just barely make it over left to the apex with most of the turning complete. This is where you need to be patient, throttle too soon and you go wide or oversteer. Increase throttle around the white line going across the road.

Hawthorn, depends on the car, but you definitely want to brake well after the cone marker, approximately 40% of the way between the brake cone and turn in cone. Turn in a bit early before that next cone. I use a quick brake/downshift, then turn in and use 1/2 to 2/3 throttle to balance the car until it rotates enough. Balance is the key here, if you feel a bit slow, make sure the car is rotated and get on the throttle early. If you're going a bit fast, use patience and less throttle to let the car rotate. It's ok to use a little inside curb if you turn in a bit early. Once the car rotates, go full throttle, it's ok to use the exit curb as long as your steering is nearly straight.

Cheers for this mate :)

Any tips for Megane Gr4 brake bias for Interlagos?
Usually my front tires are over too soon.

Yeah don't use it  saw a few understeering Meganes with shot tyres in the 14 lapper on Friday night :)

Anybody else noticed that the R8 ghost drives around with the windscreen wipers up?

I wondered what it was!

After a ratings drop @ Brands Hatch it was time for the opposite @ Race A/Lago Maggiore.

Really loved the 4C after I got used to it.. My time was top 2.2% in the world but that was still like 3 seconds from the top time.. I have no idea how in the hell did I have 3 secs of air in my best lap..

Well, it was good enough. 8 races and 8 wins (5 poles). 7 of those races I drove alone several seconds ahead of second place. Pretty boring actually.. But I only did one little driving mistake in those races.
Btw my Kudosprime stats are somehow corrupt.. It shows I have almost the maximum of DR points even though I'm just on the verge of A.

I must have just beaten you then :p 1:41.755 - 384 / 18,706 - 2.0528% annoyingly, I thought it was not a very good time, so avoided racing... but after the 14 laps of Interlagos thought I would enter. Started 4th, 3rd, 4th and finished 4th, 2nd, 4th... matchmaking is not kind to me these days.

Anyone else find matchmaking pretty harsh? I’m DRA (37k ish) SRS (99) and the I get matched with some fast people.

Last week at Interlagos GR3 set a 1.31.5 pretty happy with that only good enough for 3rd though. This morning willow springs GR3 1.11.7 again ok I thought only good enough for 9th!

Edit - This is EU region

Yes... 3 races at Suzuka with a 2:09.6 (edit: 2:09.403) and I start 19th and 15th with door number 20 in both. ****ing grid filler for the big guys is all I am :(. After finishing these two 18th and 16th, I then get moved to slightly less good people and get a start position of 13th.

I ran a 2:11.5xx at suzuka and I just finished 6th. Beat a couple of S drivers and now i am back (for the moment) at Dr A. Kinda tired of going back and forth. But yay, back to steep penalties, I am so excited -_-

See my comment above... I think qualifying time must have a part in matchmaking.

This isn't true. If you do a 1:30.000 in an Atenza, and a 1:31.000 in a M4, but enter the race with the M4, your 1:31 will be used. If you then decided to race in the Vantage, you would have no qualifying time and start at the back. It uses the fastest qualifying time for whichever car you enter

No, you can pick whichever car and always could. Your qualifying time is your qualifying time, regardless of vehicle. Obviously in FIA races it is fixed.

Yet you still refuse to accept my friend request
I won‘t be doing it again today I guess, too dangerous with tire and fuel consumption on SH :nervous:
I thought we were friends already?

If your SR goes below a certain level, your DR will reset to a corresponding score

Thanks for the compliment :O
Haven't lapped anyone ever since December when I was just starting out though :P

Honestly I was confused with an R32 appearing in Race C  RH and N500 nonetheless. But thank god for this race! I managed to snatch Top 1 in EMEA while it's still new and won my first race by just over 30 seconds :gtpflag:
I know these are not legitimate Top 1 times since not even an hour has passed by when I got these, but hey it's still Top 1 ;) (US I'm coming for you huehue)

No

The R32 is N500?

Yeah, was N300 last time

N300 2:26.783 - 1,079 / 34,052 - 3.1687% - 2/27/2018 1:41:40 PM

I got lucky in that race though, since the Italian lagger took you and some others out, clearing my path

This morning i figured, take another ride on the N24, get some more DR points before it goes away! 2 laps later i am down 9 SR points (first loss in 14 days of driving) penalties all around, bumped more times than an exoctic dancer.. and just made it through without losing any points.. i love this game :)

Todays tracks... i think i will pass :-)

Yeah you did :D 1:41.876 is what I got.

I think it's pretty safe to say you never know where your time puts you. With that time was driving all alone in the 1st spot for all but a couple of laps in 8 races.

Although I absolutely do NOT know the Nordschleife I thought I would try some laps... was shocked even more when it was in the dark

Got a 9:40 at first, but down to 8:40 after 6 or 7 tries. No chance I would be entering a race though :) waaaay too risky.

I was matched with an alien who set a time over 2 seconds quicker than mine :( he spun out on lap 1 in one of the races, I was 2.4 seconds ahead of him at one point and he caught back up and finished over a second ahead

I did 29 races that day/night right until the update dropped at 5am, so I can‘t really remember all of them

The ****?! 29 races??

It was with a Russian and Mallucm who I think had positions 1 and 2 on the leaderboards!

Wow, first time I've seen a one-make endurance. This should be eventful. Apparently you have to crank up the power level to 494bhp, then the BOP will take care of the rest.
