RC F did it again. started 15th. No pit. Finished 5th. Video is up in the appropriate thread. My trigger finger was numb for the last half lap. Didn't shift into 7th for the straight, tried to signal for those behind to pass, didn't turn off signals... Felt like work. Didn't know if other players might have been fatigued.

Tokyo, on the other hand, was fun. Thought it would be a mess. I'm liking the course.

Something really needs to change with the m4 I joined the dark side for Suzuka running fuel map 1 and shifting as the light bar just started to register and was able to run 2.10s 6 out of 8 laps with the odd 9 and then run full revs on the last lap to lap and a half.

A few times I pitted for just tyres to make sure I had plenty of grip at the end but even with worn tyres I was able to hold or extend gap to guys behind who had pitted

Haven't even done a Group 4 race since the widespread knowledge of how good low revs are with the M4 compared to other cars. I drove the M4 beforehand, but I never felt I had a major advantage in that car, and I was still doing the same strategies as those around me. But since the knowledge...what's the point, kind of sucks the fun out of the 'endurance' Gr.4 races when fuel and tyres are barely an issue in one car only.

Yup, and thats why I dont race Gr.4 anymore...
The C races are ruined by people using short shifting M4s in the front.

Also, what annoys me is, that people can set their fastest lap in any car (Lets say the Atenza for example) and then fuel map the whole race with a M4. Kills the whole sportsmanship in those races IMO

Lets just hope PD patches a lot of stuff next week when the update arrives. We just need some more variety in sport races!
And I'm still hoping for a Top10 leaderboard that DOESN'T show what car was used. (replays should be bumper only in this case)

This isn't true. If you do a 1:30.000 in an Atenza, and a 1:31.000 in a M4, but enter the race with the M4, your 1:31 will be used. If you then decided to race in the Vantage, you would have no qualifying time and start at the back. It uses the fastest qualifying time for whichever car you enter

Nordschleife in the night is a real challenge, I managed to clock a 8:16 with opt. at 8:14.8. Binned two really fast laps tho :banghead:

Really?
I didnt even know that :)
I was just wondering, because I only have seen Atenzas in the last Interlagos Top10 and the race was full of M4s

But I'm still curious, because I thought Ive done a lap in the past and then switched to another car (which I didn't do a lap with) and I started with my OG time :odd:
Guess I'll have to test it myself this evening 💡

Incorrect. I watched kies qually in Antenza and race in M4 using the Antenza time at Interlagos.

In my game that is possible as last night run qualification time with 458 and then used many different cars with that 458's time.

In the lobby, was his qualifying time when racing the M4 the same qualifying time as the Atenza? I definitely remember a few months ago this wasn't possible. How have Polyphony ruined this?

Here's my lap with the lexus gr4 at Suzuka (european record) 2:06.276

You mean world record. ;)

Amazing lap mate. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Oh boy, what a rush! nurb 24 at night is awesome! I put in a 9:03 qualification and found myself starting in 4th. Unheard of . Mind you, half the grid didn't put in a qualifying time. Sadly I screwed up majorly at the first turn onto the Nordschleife, it seemed slick, like a wet track. Went from 4th to 18th, and then got very frustrated not being able to find an opening to get past the slower people in front. Managed to pick my way up to 10th. Once I calm down I'm going again! :D:lol:

Back to BMW and back to GTS after take 1 week off, made right decision with late pitting so I can safe tires on track.
And can do only 1 overtake since 1-4 was too fast hahaha, but I have some problem with car too I feel it just too understeer on hill so I can't catch up on Conrod Straight. Not sure if that cause brake bias or other thing.

Man I am floating! Second race, and I had time for 1 lap for qualifying. Shaved another 3 seconds off my qualifying time. Started in 6th place, but this time the grid was mostly DR/A and B. Again only about half finished a qualifying lap.

I made a few mistakes that left me doing a bit of rally, but I think I was being a bit timid on the GP part of the circuit and lost time. Once on the Nordschleife I lost a bit and gained a bit, but for the most part held my own till the carousel. The part after the carousel was where I made the most ground. I wasn't looking for braking points, I was driving mainly on engine sound and timing. I took a big gamble and didn't change tyres when I pitted. To be honest I didn't notice much change in the second lap.

Finished 7th, but to be honest I was just keen to race and wasn't paying attention to my position. I'm still floating!!!! :gtpflag:

I think I'm go start qualifying for race c even though I've been having good races in b I don't want to risk it and get in a bad race with drivers

Yeah there is a floating feeling to the N24 night race, dunno if the track is colder and it takes longer to get heat into the tires, that then is quickly gets worn out and floats again..

I'm pretty sure if it was 3 laps, you wouldn't be able to start the next race 30 minutes later.

There's a 30 minute window, and because of the loading times, warm-up, 3 racing laps (including pitstop), and then waiting for people to finish, and then finally the loading times before the 'celebration scene', it would overrun...

..and then to race again, you'd have to wait over 20 minutes for the next race. Which yeah, does mean people will have time to do extra qualifying laps if they wish, but I'm pretty sure the start times are designed so a race isn't meant to take so long that it overlaps.

Not being able to get the fastest lap really is a non-issue

Drive faster! But true, the lower classes might not make it in time. In DR.A you can almost do a qualify lap in between, just cut short by all the extra reloading of the track and having to start further back. Why not have a 5 lap event, still starting every 30 minutes yet overlapping, so you can enter the on the hour or on the half hour events. There should be enough people on a Sunday for that. 2 laps just feels so short on nurb :)
