So much for swearing that I'll get S today... How can I get there when I can't play because of the update? Shame since the dailies are right up my alley...

Well that's special ! I was in that guy/girl's position yesterday, and even with my limited skill I managed to pull all the way over to the right and just lift off to serve my penalty. There's no excuse for that, it's not like there was a chance of mistaking a breaking point.

Yes deliberately trying to cause an accident so that i receive a penalty and he keeps his 1st place.

After a good day of racing Monza yesterday i got from 37XXX DR points to 44XXX DR points. Stayed at SR 99 all the time. Only the last 2 races were very very off.. there was a guy in front of me who kept on brake checking me, resulting in 2 major penalty and my SR going down to 37. Afyer that race the same happend to me again, resetting my DR to 15000 and my SR to 16! So now i'm at B/C! Man... been grinding for 151 days to get to DR A, now i have to do it all over again! Gotta say with the low DR and SR i've gotten a few wins and pole after that, but it felt not nice... The wins felt to easy, not as good as winning at more DR.

I was hoping to give a daily a go before midnight. Just turned on the PS4, selected GTS and hooly dooly! 24 gigs?? I thought it was just a minor update to fix the sound and a couple of other things they messed up in the last update . Guess I'll catch up on anime and wait till midnight and go for my daily workout qualifying.

After a good day of racing Monza yesterday i got from 37XXX DR points to 44XXX DR points. Stayed at SR 99 all the time. Just out of curiousity, how does the TOP10 for RaceB look so far?

A) One Make (Skyline GT-R blah blah you know it's the same car all week) -- Tsukuba (7 laps)
B) Gr.3 -- Yamagiwa (4 laps)
C) Gr.1 -- Interlagos (15 laps, 7x fuel, 11x tire)

Race B should be fun, but Race C is where I'll focus all my effort tonight. Unfortunately, I have a long day of classes ahead of me.

I've won many races at Interlagos, but never in Gr1. It'd be really nice to get one there tonight!

Well I might actually do better with the Skyline at Tsukaba as I was crap with it at Suzuka East yesterday.

The other two should be okay races though as Interlagos is Grp1 with fuel that means some crazy racing/crashes will probably
ensue in the tigheter corners. Hopefully means I can get pack to rank B though! 👍

Yes I probably won't get on today either thanks to this update. Normally the download speed isn't too bad but it's going so slow today, maybe too many now trying to download it or something, it said 9 hours to go when I last looked.

At least the races are not that interesting to me.

My experience was very similar but I only ran 3 races and lost massive amounts of SR points and DR points. I was last this low 100 days ago. Let’s get out there and hustle back up to where we belong, m8.

Superb work mate - got the update but the track names were displayed in Japanese even though I had language set to English, so uninstalled and reinstalled and it works for fine

Well folks, business as usual after a couple of very freaky days. I decided to give Race B a go. I tried about 5 different cars during qualifying time trials and set my fastest time with the most consistency the R8. After over 140km of qualifying I started back in my usual position...P10 out of 15 .

Race matching was not particularly kind, only 5 in my DR, the rest B's and Cs. It seems the DR/Cs are finally coming out of the woodwork. I had a guy in a 'vette who kept having a stab in places you just don't pass, and finally he bulldozed his way past. There was another driver behind me who I think must have been getting frustrated. I'm sure he must have thought I was moving to block at every corner. In truth, they would consistently disappear from my radar, then reappear on the outside as I'm drifting towards them and finish the turn with my exhaust heating up their front grill. They got a better line in the final turn of the final lap and started edging past me up the final strait. They crossed the line about 1/2 a car length in front. Finished 12th.

On the plus side, I'm still on SR 99, and after 63 days, I've had the longest streak (11 days) above a DR of 1! Previous record was 5 days starting at day 1.

Just to illustrate today's Interlagos gr1..
I basically made peace with dropping sr, however I managed to increase it a bit in final race. Some eager Spaniard bulldozered past me on T4, but couldn't hold up with my pressure and spun out on T7 2 laps later so i snatched 3rd xD

Daily B is pretty good today, not a single dive bomb. I still got a questionable penalty once, car on the outside with his nose next to my rear wheel turned in too sharp and hit me. SR Down, 3 sec penalty, he got 1, negative rating for that race from that one contact.

Is the car on the inside always more at fault? I usually take a late apex in corners for a faster exit, does my car not being on the 'official' or average driving line give me a more severe penalty? The rest was all good anyway, although that reset my clean streak again.

The stats from Monza on Tuesday are in, effect from the new penalties

Last Tuesday was now the second worst time to race on Monza, only the N800 race was worse. The penalties are cleaning house... almost 5 SR points lost per player per race. The boosts are still in effect, while +4 or +5 is maximum for a clean race at high SR, apparently +31 was possible at lowest SR. And somebody managed to lose 120 SR in one race!
The GR.3 Bluemoon Infield race had an average of +7.7 SR per player per race.

I think the game considers you cutting corner illegally to gain position, while he is in "better" line..
I regularly get penalty if I get hit while inside, even if I'm driving perfect line. I never bulldozer through tho.​

Well I was ahead, left space as I wasn't certain if I would cut him off when he crept up on the outside. So it wasn't to gain position, nor was I trying to block him. I guess since the Viper slightly breaks out the game might have thought I was trying to hit him? It was 4 seconds even.

I also didn’t even knew what this hype was all about. The last Gt I played was Gt4.
But after cruising down a few laps it felt kinda strange familiar. Bam 💡 Ferrari F355 Challenge on Arcade, yes that’s what it was, awesome 👍
