Bad day after bad day and bad race after bad race for me at the moment.
It all started when 1.15 was released I was so hyped for the Easter weekend and then my t500 wouldn't work.
Well 1.16 arrived and I was set for some good racing, but unfortunately for me every race I have entered I have lost Dr I've gone from 58,000 down to 51,100.
I couldn't catch a break yesterday at willow a couple of off's were my fault but every time I was on for a good result I get caught up in someone else's accident.
Then today I tried a run at blue moon and for the first 11 laps it was great and clean and then after the pitstop I had lost touch with the lead pack I was two seconds down and this guy kept bumping me and I ended up with multiple penalty's and my SR dropped to 65, how I kept my DR at S was just luck as far as I believe. That was my first go at an oval, not sure if I'll return to one.

Well next I decided to try dragon and get a disconnect as the race leaves the warm up to start.
And now my SR is B at 60, how I'm still DRS is now more of a mystery.
Right the next race will be better.

Just had a frustrating race :banghead:
I had the honor of being matched against USA's Top 1 (UGA-95)
I was in the RC F, and he in the Veyron.

The RC F's phenomenal acceleration allowed me to get overlap before the first turn, so used that opportunity to go side-by-side on T1-2. Very clean, we stayed by our own side. I know it'll slow us both down, but it was what my plan was since if I can't slow him down, he'll run away like a white rabbit stealing a carrot.

We exited the chicane side-by-side, and another pair hot on our tails. One of them (yellaboy iirc) I've been racing with for the past hour now, so I know he's pretty clean and I can trust him. Into the fast right hander, side by side once more with UGA.

He's now got a lead and he's on the inside, but I still have overlap. This is it, T4. If I can't keep up with him on the outside, I'll be relegated to seco-

UGA got smashed into oblivion by the other guy yellaboy was racing with.
SERIOUSLY?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? He was behind me for around a lap, and I had to brake really late because I can sense that he's trying to use me as his own personal brakes. T4 the next lap, he went to the grass. He then procedeed to wreck yellaboy and a recovering UGA.

Yes, I won. But it feels so hollow. It's frustrating. It was set up to be an amazing race, only to be ruined by someone else. God:censored:

Including himself that guy wrecked 4 of the top 5 within the first 2 laps lol. The last wreck he deliberately ran the 3rd place guy into the wall for no reason and took himself out in the process, which allowed me to scoot past into 2nd. Don't know what his deal was, but he's a perfect example of why the safety rating is a joke. How does someone like that have an S safety rating?

Yeah that guy sucked big time. Next race he wasn't on the roster. He's probably in another race trying to get his SR back :banghead:

Protip: Use the RC F. It's so fast that you can get an overlap by T1 👍

When you start from pole on DT nearly everything gets an overlap, also seems to start me going so slow. Only because the driver behind was very clean and I was super aggressive on the brakes kept me in first.

Only problem with the RCF for me is I only use cockpit view, in the RCF the view is really hampered way too much A pillar and roll cage in view on the left!

Haven't had the overlap problem myself. I'm switching between the Viper, NSX, and RC F

Although yeah DT requires a lot of trust going into T1. Thankfully I haven't been punted yet :dopey: I guess go for the Viper? Hopefully it has a better cockpit view :)
 
One recent daily race C, climbing up after 13s penalty in first chicane, also discovered that you can control direction of your view with right analog stick which can be interesting when doing videos from replays.

Just one point less SR and you'll get reset to 40,000 DR... be careful out there!!

Haven't had the overlap problem myself. I'm switching between the Viper, NSX, and RC F

Actually liked the viper did a few quali laps in it but not quite used to it just yet, only managed a 1.46.0, in the Atenza I’m on a 1.45.4 at the moment but only run a few laps usually can creep in the 1.44’s with the Atenza

Yeah i was very lucky for sure, and I prayed for it not to disconnect again and it didn't.
Four laps at dragon and finished third to a SS and an AS driver, lost 100 DR and gained 5 SR.
My next race I'm going to drop to DR A for certain.

I started out with constant poles, until the past hour when I keep getting matched against US' Top 1 and 4 :lol:

I am B S in EU. My pole and FL were not as spectacular as yours.👍 A lower rank racer currently.:lol:
 
Need to do more of the Gr.4 Willow races next time it comes up. Maybe not with the Vantage, though. I'm already weak at T9 and that car was not doing me any favors there. :lol:

Yup it was an interesting experience. Never won at DT with my main account but today got 2. Perform better without Dr concerns. Haha:dopey:

Comparing to last night at Nurb. DT suddenly is one of my favourite track.:yuck:

Well what started out as a smooth night on Dragon Trail deteriorated pretty quickly after being punted back into midfield hell. Decided to try the 86 as I hadn't raced it yet. Was fairly quick with it and won 2 of my first four races. Next race, leading on lap 3 and get punted hard from behind in last run turn and lose several positions and fall into the clutches of the crash kiddies. Should have tapped right there and called it a night.

Nope, next race get punted in turn 2 and it was bumper cars from then on. Net result for the night is 5 wins and a drop from A/S to D/E. :banghead: Managed to get back to C/C in the end. The SR hits are incredible under this penalty system. What they let lower ranked players get away with me is beyond me. I'll usually put a livery on a car if I plan on using it, but I just left this one in primer because I knew it was going to get ****ed up anyway.
 
Today I first time ever had a guy literally doing everything to get me of the track, and as a final act , after slamming me through T13-14 on GP and me getting 4 sec for it, he cuts into pit stop from waay deep right into my side, bounces back to track and I get 3 sec extra penalty..:banghead::banghead::banghead:
He got no penalty whatsoever..

In the end, I managed to get 10Sr points somehow and got back to S :D

Daily A was fun tho, got me 6k dr from just 1 race lol(!?)

Same problem here, I can not really get used to it. The Viper cockpit view is alright although there are some exaggerated reflections on the windshield.

Yes overly exaggerated!! I love cockpit view but major downside is some just aren’t a good view, M6, RCF GR4 and 3, all LMP1 cars all examples that have bad cockpit views! Can make it limiting on choice sometimes!
 
Holy hell GR.3 Blue Moon surely can provide brutality close and fun race, glad I just make my DR down so I don't get too much penalty.
Just like matchmaking work this time all same skill and speed on one room.

Thrown the towel in for Dragon GR4s, managed to get back to 99SR but lost a load of DR :indiff:

Weirdly, not that many problems with the fast chicane @ end, it was mostly the 2 right handers after first chicane.

Even if you give room to the :dunce: who think having their bumper alongside you gives them the corner, they just bounce off the inside kerb and Kamikaze you off the track. Or if you're in a queue of traffic, they divebomb into the second right hander - using you as their brake, both corners, I get the penalty :confused:

Did the qualifying with the Lambo, but I've been reading it's not really competitive. Is it the RC F as @Alpha Cipher mentioned ? What else ?

Earlier the races were dominated by Veyrons and lambos, Lamborghini seems pretty quick.

G'day Joe, it's been a while :). There's a pretty good mix of cars in the top ten down here (5 different brands), a Veyron tops the list, then a couple of Atenza's, an 86 and a GT-R. So it seems there's quite a few good choices going by the Oceania top 5. Best of luck (not that you need luck with your pace :)). 👍:cheers:

Thanks Mick, you're encouraging :). The European board was almost completely Veyrons while qualifying, haven't seen it since ( the kids ! ). Well, guess I'm gonna stick to the Huracan then, I like that car :cheers:.
 
Argh just had an annoying race in race B. Really good first lap, up to 4th from 9th. Going into the first chicane on lap 2 the guy in front brakes marginally earlier than me and tried to avoid him but as he was following the racing line he veered into my path, incredibly minor tap, gave him a little boost if anything but 3 second penalty for me.

Finished 9th :(

Wow. Next race was chaos, I mean absolute chaos. Guy braked super early on pre bus stop hair pin, 4 second penalty for me. That’s even with me pulling out of the way, they turn in because they think you’re divebombing. Anyway I’m off the racing line scrubbing it then get back up to speed into the bus stop, one guy makes the gap, next guy doesn’t and plows into me causing at least a 6 car pile up. Queue people saying I should have waited for a gap...
