Maybe.

I wanted to see where my Q time would put me... someone said before that at least half of a Nurb grid don't qualify, so I thought I might start in 10-12. Then I get matched with aliens

Fed up of being matched with people I have no chance of competing with and losing DR.

I've been matched with @Nuschel01 and something like 8 or 9 other A+ drivers on one of the Nurburgring24 races. As a "low" A class driver, I have to say they're not that fast, I was keeping up with them... until I realized they were saving tires and fuel and I was basically having a perfect lap, without saving anything and pitting at the end of the lap.
Jokes aside, around the Karussel on the first lap I was 14th and 8.5 seconds from the leader. 14 cars in less than 9 seconds and not a single accident or yellow flag in like 6 minutes of racing in the Nordschleife, I think that tells quite a lot about the quality of the race at the front. From there on it got a bit worse I guess, but it's still been impressive. I finished 10th or 11th and still managed to increase my DR though, if that's what you're interested in.

Finished my racing for the night. First race was Race A. Qualified P4 and was doing ok for the first couple of laps, but finding peoples braking zones much earlier than me, which made it difficult to avoid collisions at my level, but somehow I managed. That changed on the last corner of the third lap when I didn't just knock someone off, I T-boned them but good. Pulled over to the left of the strait past the battle zone of that corner and waited for them to pass. Down to P10 where I finished the race. :yuck:

Second race C. Didn't do a stellar job qualifying and started P9. I made it up to P6 till someone kept ramming up the rear all the way thorough the esses and eventually punting me into the sand on the tight corner before the hair pin. Finished P12. Not a very successful night. :grumpy:

DR dropped, SR dropped after the first race and went up a bit in the second. Another day above DR 1 :D.

What is the point of race 1, is it just me or is that "car" almost undriveable? Any tips people?
Cant get under 53 seconds good enough to get me to the back of the grid :irked:
Finished last what a surprise.
Decided to sack it off and give the new Gardens track a go managed 3rd place and a blue S/R only 4 clean drivers at the end, i wont be doing race 1 again anytime soon i don't think.

I'm running in the mid 52's in B/S races, and have TC on 2, brake balance -2, no other aids. Started 5th and 9th in 2 races I've done, and finished 5th & 4th in both races.

The car is pretty stable on this course, and only gets a bit squirrely on the quick esses before the final hairpin. Just feather the throttle through corners and you'll get the hang of it.

Did a couple of race B. All clean races. I climbed back to A/S again on EU. 👍:D

What I can said. Once A/S the race became dirty. Sr dropped to 65 within 2 races. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

You would think not as they would like to protect their status.

Yes especially when they are then rewarded for doing this. It's too early in the day for all the big names to be on in any case though, over the next few nights the people racing will have to let us know if the aliens are frequenting the dailies again or not.

Tested the new Supra in race C today. I was quite a bit off the pace but then I figured out that you have to shift early to get maximum power. I manged to beat my personal best at Suzuka(Lexus) by two tenths which set me up nicely for the race. TC1 at the start also helps.

Anyways, I finally managed to get to DR A:cool:

The new Dragon Trail sucks no flow at all. Seems like a track made by someone in their first attempt there’s just too many adjectives to describe how bad it really is

Had a very tight race at Maggiore earlier, just managed to hold on to 1st place

I’m done with the daily races for today as my SR is taking a hit.

I genuinely don’t know what I was supposed to do in these incidents:

Standing starts don't really work on GTS. too much congestion especially going through the esses on Suzuka.

Your 1st incident happened to me on the final double left turn before the home straight. A VW dive bombs my left side, and knocks me to the right of the track. I get a 3 second penalty and a red S at the end of the game. The offender gets no penalty and a blue S at the end. I saw them do the same move to 2 other cars in front, too.

Seems the penalty system still does indeed like people who can game the system!

Yes, this "helped" me get the 10 second penalty earlier, no doubt with a rolling start it wouldn't have happened as we'd have been more spread out.

Mind you the penalty system is just rubbish too, I also got a 4 second penalty in a previous race when someone who'd ran wide and way off the track came back on and all the way across the track and into the side of me just before I braked for the chicane, who knows how it thought that one was my fault.

In the first one you obviously should have turned right instead of left, silly mistake.
Second you passed a ghost, means beware crap driver, pull over asap.

Yeah, the penalty system sucks.

I'm at 56 SR after 2 bad races on Monza last night. I want to try the new DT race later, yet one more bad race and my DR will be reset. Do I do a daily C first to boost SR or take the gamble :)

Yes I gained a bit by shifting a little early but it turns out you should shift a lot early judging off the videos of the very fast guys. I could have easily got within a second of the fastest by doing this I think, oh well you live and learn, next time I can use this car I'll be better. ;)

What is wrong with this game?
Oh my godness, this is the 3rd or 4th time in a row that i get fourth place.
Not that i mind, it's satisfying nailing the exit speed in Dragon Trails Gardens Gardens.
Although all these 4th places are obtained while i start back pack, i'm not really good with qualifying times...

The Supra concept at Suzuka is a lot of fun. Haven't been able to set my real best time, but that car is great fun regarding throttle control.

Had fun today Race A with the KTM. All aids off except for ABS.

Lost -1000 DR because of doorbel which I needed to open.... round 6/9 driving 2nd. Still managed to gain 2000 points overall so pretty pleased.

Saw some GTP members today !

After dropping to SR 56 on Monza, it took 14 daily B races today to get back to max SR.

SR.B was especially dirty and initially I dropped further down to 49. After a few races I learned where to avoid the dirty (or rather out of control) drivers and started a clean streak to slowly climb back up. SR.A was pretty clean, yet then in SR.S got dirty again with a minor set back after someone rejoining the track from the grass decided to steer straight into me at the apex to give me 10 sec penalty and major SR loss.

New track, GR.4 is my worst, so lost about 4K DR on the way back up. I only managed to gain some points in SR.A and 1 win there, the rest all losses. My final qualifying time of 1:39.7 only gave me 15th place in the max SR.S lobbies. I did better laps in the race, not a fan of hot lapping.

The track is ok, not great. At least there is no bus stop. The track limits are extremely loose though. Watch out for people coming back in at odd angles.

Btw, my first race started by someone telling me I'm on their **** list. I asked why, he couldn't remember. I checked the players met list on psn, had him blocked, as in he's on my **** list as well, but I also can't remember. He still vowed to race me hard if he saw me again, whatever that means. That made me think of a new tag line for GT Sport, Driving people apart!

Anyway he was on pole, I was 15th in my first race after 1 lap of practice, never saw him on the track, wasn't matched with him again the rest of the day. Yet now he's on my radar...

Some decent races today.

But I still fail to understand why PD picks one car to feature in One Makes for the whole week. We need more than just three races per day (there should be one for each Group), but being stuck with a single One Make car all week just makes the lack of race diversity even worse.
