Well Race A was a real snoozer at Big Willow, I had to slap myself to stay awake. After 2 races I headed to Yamagiwa for some fun racing. After about 6 Q laps in the AMG I decided to try the meta Supra. First lap I crushed my Q time. That car seems tailor made for that track. One win and several podiums later I'm back to A/S.

Did some Q laps at Brands for today's races as I really like the Gr2 cars, but that layout doesn't really seem to appealing with those cars. So I'm off to Nurb in my Van Halen Cayman. I'm guessing it'll be wise to pit after lap 1, we shall see.

These are the exact reasons why this game is not ready and why we can call it defective.
What Famine said is true - sometimes. Perhaps most of the times. And as Sofia Speed wrote...
You can not count on the system’s reasonable and fair working. It is changing, seems as if PD is just experimenting how this will be OK or at last acceptable.
So do the “power users”. Experimenting, how can be avoided penalties after the moves which result in position, but not quite clear - if the systems allows. And this is not fair with the rest of the field, who doesn’t spend half of the days playing and fiddling out the actual glitches, just wants to drive or race for the spare times. At least I think so.

The system works just fine... if you're DR/E,D or C....

N24? I'll race anything there so long as it doesn't have a blue oval (and I don't mean Subaru :p).

Nice livery on that Chevrolet 911 Cayman :)
--
Set an 8:50, which is enough for a momentaty 7th in the leaderboards, and took it to one race. Now that my SR's back to 95, I'm not gonna bother anymore since I hate the Cayman

On a side note, I like how I gained 100 DR for a field that's 2 A ranks, and the rest D ranks.
But my last race amongst a field of B ranks gained me 1 DR

Damn.

Just missed the leaderboard in GR.2 Brands Hatch.

P11

Later the day I won't have the chance anyway

:banghead:

Gr.2 is a definitely a potential DR killer, I'm warning you.

Back to Burnout Revenge for me today.

Yh, did 4 races. Qualytime 0.3 behind top ten. Started always as 5 or 6, gained every time one place.... loosing 400 DR Points. Nice. Not.

What could be wrong with a Porsche on the Ring ?? Seems some are never happy.

@Nuschel01 is doing top 10 at the moment 👍

Yes .. at DR S, or A+ now I suppose, a 10 second penalty costs anywhere between 15 and 30 SR alone. Maybe not 30 since the patch but it's still at least 15, the reason I know this is because I've been shunted into the back of people giving me a 10 second penalty in races that I've otherwise had no penalties or cuts or anything like that in more than once, and lost 15+ SR overall for the race. Every single one of the A+ drivers I have added to my friends list have been DR reset more than once and all of them are well mannered drivers so it's not like it's just some freak thing that happened to me. Another user, raceface85, has been reset all the way down from the DR cap to DR C in one day in a similar manner to me. And from racing with him I can tell you he's as polite a driver as I've seen on GT sport
Was SR S 90-99 for months untill one race I drop to 53 last week. Did nothing that would justifiy this.

LOL... did two races again. started 6 and finisehd 5, startet 8 finisehd 6... booth races clean. Loosing 80 DR points... Dont understand this system....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't quali position not count towards DR?

Do you have a screen shot of the race results and qualy ? Without it we cannot say anything. If you are losing with DR A against DR D it is logical that you lose DR since you need to both quali and finish before them. No matter how good your race felt.

When chaos reins, Nanto will appear ! Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right. Here I am, stuck in the middle again. This is madness! This is N24!!! :odd:

I put a reasonable amount of effort into qualifying. I knew I could probably gain another few seconds, but I just ran out of time. Qualified P3.

It was bedlam, I was pushed and pulled and banged about. I saw the orange SR a couple of times when I was divebombed. I elected not to change tyres when I pitted. Car was a little squirrely but otherwise ok. The accumulated penalties see me cross the line P5 but finish P10. Kinda thinking now I should have used the track to bleed them off but I was too busy trying to drove it like a stole it and not get rear ended, spun, side swiped or any of the other myriad of contacts people made. I was not entirely blameless, I was having a hard time braking well enough not to run into the pack of 5 that were going slower than me and I couldn't figure out how to pass. Of course slowing down so as not to hit anyone means I get hit instead .

After all the carnage and mayhem I only lost SR 9 and went up in DR. Had I been in one of the top 3 DR grades, it would have more likely been a reset :scared:. Another day above DR 1 :D.

Yeah I was about to win when that greek guy pulled a Verstappen move on me after he messed up the first chicane and I went past him. I then spun out before the quad-right and lost all 4 positions I gained :banghead:

You are a beast at the ring!

Only indirectly since the points are based on your finish position. If you start 1st and fall to 7th you're likely to gain DR. If you start 16th and finish 9th, you're likely to lose DR. One I would call a bad race performance, the other pretty great, yet the DR system doesn't care.

You gain points for each person you finish in front of and lose points for every person you finish behind. Hence in sprint races starting position is very important, which comes down to luck a lot. Sometimes I fall back on the grid after improving my qualifying time, yet it mostly depends on who else is racing at the time.

It's a crappy day outside, I'll be on Nurb24 soon. I'm tempted to check out GR.2 first, yet Brand's hatch indy is about as interesting as Miyabi or Suzuka East. I don't like short tracks. Come on PD, GR.2 on Nurb24 is what I want. GR.1 3 laps even better.

I'm a glutton for punishment. Instead of going to bed I decided I was going to try daan's idea with the fuel map. Yeh, that plan went out the window when I saw I was qualified P2. There wasn't the same level of mayhem up my end and I pitted P3 or 4 I think. I decided once again to double stint the tyres, which had me out the gate back in P2. I made a couple of mistakes which let the guy behind me get through, but I got that position back again.

Sadly, I was finding not changing was hurting. A couple of mistakes and the 12s gap I had evaporated and he was about 0.6s behind me up the final strait of the Nordschleife. I was holding him off till the second last turn. I just didn't scrub enough speed and ended up on the grass. I had only conceded that one position when in a bone head moment I decided to shed the 2s penalty I had so that I'd only have a red dot and no time displayed. Having time displayed might "make me look bad" :p. Yeh, down to P5.

On the up side, I gained SR 6 and my DR is now dangerously close to a grade change. Think I'd manage to hold on to DR/C for more than 2 days this time?

Had a great day and saw @Nuschel01 in the race so very proud of that ! I pulled of a 8:59,9 so was happy to be under 9 minutes. Some really fair driving but overall drama. Driving at the end means your DR is going down like a rocket. Went from DR 35.000 to DR 27.000 in 5 hours of driving :banghead:

Look at my stats what happened last week and today....
