YOUR DAILY RACES OF 22/5/18

RACE A: MAGGIORE EAST II (ITS THE 1ST HALF OF TRACK IN REVERSE), RCZ, 5 LAPS.

RACE B: DRAGON TRAIL SEASIDE, GR3, LAPS 5. (LEADERBOARD CAR OF CHOICE: MERCEDES GT/BEETLE).

RACE C: SUZUKA, GR2, 10 LAPS, FUEL 8, TYRES 10. (LEADERBORD CAR OF CHOICE: THE LEXUS).

Time as of 9:00am GMT.

I was off for 2 days, read the news here. So far I've learned that a regular hotlapper, A+/S "player" seems to be a cheap cheater (A+) with unsportsman attitude (S). The video is deleted. (why?) We have another A+/S champion, a smart sportsman's ars poetica here unless it will also be deleted defending these muppets.

In real life, weekend's WTCR race at Zandvoort, Yvan Muller made a risky move, failed, hit his opponent braking the opponent's suspension, then was surprised that the opponent can not control his car (susp. broken by Muller 1s ago) and drove him off the track. Than whining like a baby with full diapers. How lucky, that the stewards were rushing to comfort him with penalizing the opponent. The one driving steadily on the correct racing line.

What's wrong?
Is this the motorsport, really?
Whining primadonnas can do what others are not allowed (and does not want) to, with the kind assistance of bad stewards (good friends / business partners) or a poor penalty system?
 
Sunlounger method also works here on GT Sport. Fast to the board, not so on the board.

you can now check the daily race schedules on the official Gran Turismo website.

updates almost real time as in-game displays.
faster than any APP as far as I know.

Also you can check friends/region qualify rankings like unofficial app does.

What a step! PD! keep the great work.

GT Sport demolition derby update was released over the weekend.

Checked that. About time this happened. Also got 70th on race C (for now).

I just dumped a sure win in Gr.2 on the last lap due to my rear tire touching about half an inch of grass. I understand that slicks and grass don't mix in real life, but a solid 90% was still on the asphalt and I wasn't even giving full steering input. :banghead:

I'm tired, no fix on brakecheck he only get penalty when he hit me on hairpin even he get blue SR. At least in next race I get win, bright livery more less incident for me.

One thing Baliwa: not defending anything, but you clearly drive with a controller which sometimes can be very irritating because you are not driving straight but all over the track correcting the imputs. If someone is way faster than you he wants to pass you either left or right. If you drive from left to right and back all the time he just cannot pass you and in the end gives up and hits you. I blame your driving style for this in the video you posted. It just proves to me people too easily blame others for unnecessary contact. Just to be sure: I am not defending anyone just wanted to let you know I see also fault on your side.

Well my above post proves a bit that its not easy to blame others. Even the best drivers can have a bad day looking like bad drivers. So i think that is the reason why GTP doesnt like name-shaming. I can understand that. Even if you are right about that particular driver it is starting a witch-hunt by allowing that.
 
Spending an hour on qualifying is worth it :D
To people who say that hotlapping doesn't earn me any DR... So what? It's fun, that's why I do it :D
Now if I can just get through the bus stop without lifting... That'd be nice

Also using the non-meta 'Vette since it's what always gives me a Top 10 time here around DT, no matter what region :)
 
Tried the Gr.3 Volkswagen VGT on the Dragon Trail daily. C/C because of a few unfortunate situations from yesterday's daily but I went from 14th to 4th without setting a qualifying time.

Gonna take me a while to climb back to S though :/

Maybe you underestimate the community. If someone has just a bad day, there will be a lot of fellow sportsmen here to admit otherwise he’s good. If I’ve got a bad day, I quit making more mistakes for that particular day and apologize for the ones I did. But I know, I’m not that A+ champion.
On the other hand, if someone is stepping out attending open community races, then it is natural that it cannot be a secret what he is doing there. Everyone has to deal with that. And not just at the good times.
 
Remember that good qualy is essential for DR. You will gain more qualy 6th and finish 5th than no qualy and finishing 3rd.

@TamasToth: Dont shoot the messenger. I am just explaining what GTP is doing in general so this has nothing to do with this particular driver ! It would be better if one of the mods would explain.

What I can do if don't correct the inputs? I'll go straight to gravel :lol: but in topic I rarely correct the thing so much cause it will affected to my time even so little, if someone faster than me and I can defend it I'll defend as much as I can but not like that by brakecheck and hitting me. So I wrong if do some slipstream? he doing that while I slipstream and want pass him on start & finish straight btw.

I almost always blame myself for every incident happen to me cause I know I can avoid that if I not too pushing, but if somebody doing brakecheck or over 3 times hit me that's other story. nah my driving style is that bad anyway especially if I get depression or thing.

If I get contact with other people and he revenge on me I never complaint and just accept it.

Oh. Dang. I tried the, don't qualify and move up through the field, and that didn't do much good for my DR number. SR went down then back up. It's rough in the back. Then qualified P4, stayed there, and etc...

Good to know. And sounds like a reason to sandbag a mediocre quali...
I didn't say that outloud...

Yeah, they're the ones that smash into everyone. I wish people would watch real races. Time and again, there's video footage of what goes wrong, when a racer tries to win it in the first corner.

I mean, come on. You'll get 'em next time, Champ. Survive the first turn and just race smart. Someone has to come first and someone has to come last. Jeez.

I think you mixed something up here, the car swerving all over the place was the Porsche, not @Baliwa in the Lexus :confused:

You earn DR based on the opponents you defeat. If you are a B driver and win a room with a few A drivers, your DR will jump substantially. Compared to beating people with same or lower DR, it will hardly change. DR doesn’t change based on gained positions or qualifying.

Nice to see this, although when you click on the daily race and see the fastest times, even on here you don't have car details - what a shame !!

Sorry there Baliwa ! I absolutely misunderstood the video. It looked like that Lexus was hitting you and I was defending the Lexus a bit more because of the Porsche driving so strange. So good to see you were in the Lexus. Strange I missed the foto below it showing you in the Lexus. Well, early in the morning....

Strange. I thought I read here that position was important ? Because of the DR level you should in fact qualified better than you actually did. Or was that only as a statement to show that even when gaining 7 positions it doesnt matter because you would need to qualify before them anyhow ?

Within 2 seconds of the top 10 is already top DR B level. You are low level C. So 4 seconds is enough to start racing. Because of your DR level there is no reason not to race. You will not lose much and can gain a lot. Maybe post some clip about you driving so we can give some comments ?

Well this is a placeholder post.

I managed to make my DR worse, I now sit on 1248/99 out of 535 races, I feel very weak and embarassed by that but I have the video footage
uploading now for some critical feedback, I think my weakest show is Brands Hatch so I really need to practice, practice, practice that track and
try to handle the pressure against other Grp3 cars. :banghead:,
