Alsace has been clean, but my controller is just not responding with left functions. It like the cars has a truck turning radius. Ruining my races.
That happened to me during the Gr. 2 race at Suzuka a couple days ago. It was only in that race though, works fine now.

Lost 7 DR for finishing P2 at Alsace a moment ago - what is the point !?

I like racing and want to participate as much as possible, for fun, but I still let it annoy me, when I set the 2nd fastest time on the EU server (early morning, acknowledged), start P2 and finish P2, yet still lose DR!

Maybe it was due to a B/S driver in the Megane bumping me on the 1st lap? I don't know, something is badly wrong. If I had failed to control the car after this hit, his penalty would be worse and I would fall back to about P7 and lose masses of DR AND get the penalty for being hit! Very "gameable".

I realise that it cannot be that easy to program the penalties and get the DR calculations right, but come on, nothing is better than this mess, especially when the drivers respect each other anyway, there is no need for any this over zealous penalty stuff.

These 3 things are the reasons why many A+ do not bother to race dailies any more. Discouragement at every turn to participate:

- No DR gains for high finishes, unless the lobby is loaded with other A+

- Worse penalties for you than them, if a lower rank does something stupid

- Penalties for nothing wrong all of the time, small racing brushes and wing mirror to wing mirror, side by side enjoyable racing moments, all ruined by over zealous penalties.

No doubt the imminent update will change everything again......

Did Race B (Mazda Roadster at Bathurst) excessively today. Every single one of them was clean, i had so much fun. I started from 2nd or 3th place most of the time, but 2nd place in the standing starts is like Pole Position, because you are on the outside for the first turn.

Results: 14 Races, 6 wins (out of only 12 total in Sport mode), from DR 36.5k to nearly 43k, SR at 99 all the time.

I'm pretty sure I finished 2nd in one of those races behind you, and despite being a lonely race, it was fun trying to catch you after a bad 1st lap from me. I had a couple of very good laps but it wasn't enough since you never put a foot wrong.
I can confirm on the "fake" pole position, I had 5 or 6 of them and most of the time I've ended up being 2nd or worse entering the uphill section on the mountain. Starting on the inside means you have to take a tighter line into turn 1 to leave space on the outside, compromising your exit into the long straight. I can confirm on the fun it was as well, such an underrated car-track combo.
I met some other GTP members as well, like @iFuriousRacer. Well, I saw his name on the lobby screens I should say, since he was 2.5/3 seconds faster than me :).

I would Add if you are a poor dr.A driver like me and you are bumped into a room with all Dr.A+ with a similar (less than a second) qualy time, you cannot get even closer to the "kings" otherwise you get ruined by penalties... this does not happen in rooms with dr. A or B.. have you ever noticed something like that?

Well finally on the verge of heading back up to DR C but going to skip the Tokyo Expressway today but looking forward to
the Nurburgring circuit race.

Despite the Mount Panaroma Mazda Roadster race being a bit chaotic I managed to improve my DR yesterday and got a video of a
2nd place result which I was really happy with, I possibly could have won but lost too much time to the lead car ensuring I didn't
get taken out as the guy/gal who was in 2nd place spun out on the downhill fast chicane section so by the time I got back to
speed 1st was 12 seconds down the track.

Want to try and get back up to B rank DR before the final FIA races tomorrow but that will probably be a tall order.

The idiots are less prevalent in SR S in general, at least where I am.

DR A+/SR S. Over the weekends you get more of the odd desperado who just has to win the race in the first few corners. Putting their car in places where a penalty is inevitable. I like to think that maybe they're drunk. I can handle that.

Always cool to meet other GTP members in the races! :gtpflag:
It was the first time I drove the NA MX-5 in the game and I instantly fell in love with the balance and the handling of the car. Normally I adjust the brake bias to make the car turn in better into corners, but with the agile Miata chassis, no adjustments were necessary. 👍
Bathurst is my favourite racetrack after the Nordschleife, so it was a very entertaining car / track combo for me.
My laptime that I drove in the morning was until late evening 4th or 5th place in the world, so very proud of this achievement. I also managed to secure my 200th race win. :dopey:

A well, that fixed that.

I'll buy a new controller and try that tomorrow. Done playing. It's futile at the moment.

Good luck with that 👍. I have a second controller still in it's box ready for when the steering gimbal gets out of trim. I went through 4 controllers playing GT4, all with the steering eventually no longer running strait.

Heh, you either run in different times or matchups to me, because I quite often find myself bashed about in SR/S.

I really enjoyed to race the 5 first laps with this guy. Do you know him? It's really cool when you can trust the guy ahead, not doing silly blocking moves etc. Big thumb up to him 👍 . Shame that he didn't managed to save his fuel as I did though. Race was a hotlap session for me as soon as I left the pits... (starts at 1h31mn)

And 180 victories with this race yay :)

DAILY RACES 25/5/18

RACE A: One Make - Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991) '16 | Tokyo Expressway - East Outer Loop | 3 Laps
RACE B: Gr.4 | Alsace - Village | 4 Laps
RACE C: Gr.3 | Nürburgring GP/F | 10 Laps | Fuel x6 - Tyre wear x9 :)

Looks like Ill be doing the daily A for a change. No GR.1 or GR.2 again yet the Porsche should be able to get up to a bit of speed on Tokyo, and at least people can't cut the corners there :) Alsace is so wide it doesn't feel like a real track, should be half as wide to be interesting imo.

Wound up reseting the controller. Been logged on for 79 days. Surely it would last longer than that.

I have played GTS for 148 days straight and no problems out of my controller yet. I'm not easy on it either.

I don't think I've ever participated in a Sport Mode race with the Porsche 911. Should be fun using that car the next few days. Hoping it gets some run at Dragon Trail Seaside.

It looks like a street track but there are no turn offs or any access to the track? It’s just a ribbon of tarmac that goes nowhere. It’s my least favourite GT fantasy track.

It's not a very good rendition of Alsace at all

That looks more interesting to race on.

Not sure why they made it look like an airport landing strip in the game.

You should doubt that... with all yor guts...

It wont happen... not even in a medium future...

Finally some Race A love for the Porsche. The next few days should be fun.

Yesterday's Bathurst race was fun but I can't believe I got a 3 second penalty for cutting on the dirt drop at The Dipper. I worked so hard to get as close to that wall as possible and I don't believe it's physically possible to get all 4 tires off of the track there. Oh well, I held 4th place anyways and I might have gotten 3rd without the penalty. No biggy.

Turned system on/off. Unplugged/plugged in charger.

Happened to me on all three controllers I have had. PS4 controller is great design-wise but not so good quality-wise. Fortunately motion control saved me from needing to get another new one.

Yeh, I got the same penalty.

First race up for me was taking Rexy for a stroll through the Village. I tried a few different cars in qualifying. I thought it would be a good place for the 4C, but I had no feel for it there. My comfort car, the Viper just wasn't doing it for me. The NSX seemed to be the fastest thing for me. Was able to beat my time with the Scooby. The grid was mostly DR/C with a couple of Bs and a D (poor bugger). Shocked to start P3!

Sadly my P3 dreams didn't last long before I was dive bombed off the track a few times, where I began my new career as a rally driver . Yeh, I'm looking forward to Gr1 dailys at Sardegna :P. Finished P9. For the first time in 230 races I got an "I'm sorry".

Lost 120 DR and despite no time penalties, also didn't get my 3 SR back from yesterday. Still clinging on to DR/C, but I expect that to change when I do the midnight run at Nurb. DR/D ... here I come!
