It feels like it is getting ever worse, 3 races on Maggiore tonight, pole in 2 and on no less than 7 occasions I had opponents doing exactly this. One spent 2 laps continually trying to take crazily thin lines into corners he had no chance of making meaning I had to position myself on the inside much of the time and brake earlier. Then another guy literally barged through at turn 4 but lost the back end a little, I regained the place only to have try to do it at Turn 5, then through the S's before finally taking us both out on the big banked curve corner, for which both of us got a penalty and I finished 6th :irked:

I can honestly say if this tactic reaches epidemic levels I can't see myself playing Sport mode very much at all.
The corners at Maggiore are rather nose poking friendly. One reason I don't race it that often.

Well, okay. It's mostly because I just struggle with that track.
It took me an hour to get to 1:54, so with a bit more time I think you can do the same :)
I still haven't hit a 54 at Maggiore. It's one track where I have issues keeping up my speed through the corners. I can get there, though, with the right car and brake balance.
And this is what happens if you leave racing line to a 1cm along side nose sticking driver. Same spot, same situation.
Looks like the behind driver was attempting an over-under off the corner but didn't quite get the run to get good overlap. The smarter play on their end was to let you merge back in line and set up an overtake later. Instead, it created a strange situation to be in. I would've crowded the other driver a little more and delayed my turn in to slide in front of them. There would be the risk of the other driver turning into you resulting in a penalty, though.

Is there the way to adaptating fast from higher to lower class? seems lately I have problem move from GR.2 to GR.3/ GR.3 to GR.4 but no problem move from GR.1 to GR.2 or GR.3 to above.

That's why I don't do Maggiore anymore unless it's C or FIA. There's too many places that allow stupid overtakes with all 4 out of the tarmac and no penalty, and many will exploit that.

Just not worth it.

Thanks for the kind words, regarding my original post the guy knew he was in the wrong he’s messaged me on YouTube to apologise, and added me as a friend and apologised again.

He was using bumper cam (which I now hate, since switching to bonnet view) and he can’t see where the front of his own car is, which is where he managed to clip the rear of mine.

@ivann yes that’s the issue of giving him space there, he’s got the racing line and he’s ploughed you off the track, when you’ve got track position give them as little room as possible to stop that from happening.

Finally got my 54 at Maggiore with the new Gr.3 Supra. It was quite a handful the first few laps and yet, I threw the brake balance all the way to the rear anyways. I thought that was going to be a disaster but I made it work.

2 straight wins at Maggiore. Love that track
I was racing in those races, got one second and one third place, after those races it went downhill for me.
So frustrating, really made an effort to set a decent qualifying time, managed to squeeze out a 1.57.750. Had a few great races and then it (or better: someone) hit me really hard causing me to spin and crash into 5(!!!!) other cars while being a passenger of my ferrari.
My SR went down to A :-(.
Next race the strategy was to focus on driving clean to get my SR back up to S, but even when letting people pass by on the wide straight, some of these A and B SR guys still think it's a nice thing to crash into someone or pushing them into the barriers, SR is now a low A, I 68.
That was it for yesterday night, today I'm going to start at the back (no qualifying first) and hotlap behind the pack. Will probably drop my DR back to C but at least I will be back in SR S so I can race some decent drivers again.

Had decent races yesterday (only 3) on race B. Got some nice action for my supercut. Did a race with YourDjJonBoy, some nice race action.

For some reason I think the diva cars are the better ones at Lago. The RC F for me feels really loose on corner exits but I always get my best time there :)
I don't race it though- I use the Vette for that. I'm 3-5/10ths slower but the extra stability is worth

Had another great night of racing last night. Magiorre is a fantastic track! Qualified with a very low 57 so somewhat off the pace, I kept getting put in lobbies with mainly DR A drivers so would start between 10th and 14th on the grid. However, I've worked out that many drivers although fast over one lap just haven't got the racing skills. Over three and a half hours of racing I'd made an average of about 6 places per race with a few podium finishers thrown in for good measure and mostly races with no penalties. I made some beautiful passes, setting drivers up three of four corners before the pass in some instances. Racing was mostly clean and fair apart a couple of idiots sending passes up the inside and using me as their brake!

First race was a disaster where I lost a chunk of DR but by the end of the night I'd made it into DR A. Had one race which I entered with trepidation after what you guys had said and you where right! Second corner get hit by two others and bam! 10 second penalty, wouldn't have got anything in DR B I don't think. So served it immediately and was in last position 8 seconds behind the next car. Set about putting in fast laps and made 4 places by the end of the race including an awesome double pass on the last lap. Kept my DR A but very nervous about tonights races.

No idea why different penalties are applied to different DR drivers. Everyone really should race under the same rules or if not then DR B or below drivers shouldn't get to race with DR A and above drivers.

Yeah I'm up for the Formula race. It's a good Friday night. Clio Cup, Gr. 4, Vintage F1. 👍

What is matchmaking working with now?

It's not SR anymore, not DR, not qualifying times. Is hardly anybody playing anymore that it has to extend the SR range from 99 down to B to scrape 17 players together?

Starting behind these low ranked fields got me back to DR.B at the end of the night. Good, since in one race on Magiorre I ended up with 21.8 sec of penalties after the first half lap. One 10 sec penalty from somebody losing control next to me and t-boning me on the straight, the other turned into me at corner entry knocking me into a 7.8 sec shortcut plus another 4 sec for the contact. The two DR.B drivers didn't get anything.

As long as match making is putting these nonsense combinations together I rather race as DR.B myself. No point in being DR.A in these kind of rooms. Just in time for the F1 carnage on NGP.

Yep, I'm going to be racing on Kyoto to get my SR rating back up to S after last nights disaster matchmaking. After that I will be having a ball at Interlagos, see if the Ferrari Gr4 can keep up with the Renaults on that track

I've been in A/S races. Megane RS & TROPHY and 86s abound. However, after qualifying and starting in the top 10, I've been quickest in my Genesis. My M4 and 650S did pretty good against the fwd brigade, GT-R and Trophy. Gotta watch the EVOs. Those are quick.

Viper had Pole for a couple races. I followed an NSX for my last race. Has good acceleration versus the M4. That NSX was having a hard time trying to get around a Trophy.

You posted this at 3AM EST, not a whole lot of people are going to playing at that time. Especially during a weekday.

I went from E B to B S last night, loads of clean races and had a blast! Still have no idea how the ranking works as the kudosprime link doesnt work for me just a blank screen. had a couple of knocks but generally was hard but fair racing. loving this
edit: the kudosprime is working now 7681 top 18% is that DR? and 91/99 on SR.

Qualifying the T1000 F1 car. I really hated it in GT League Brands Hatch. Sold it right after quiting the first race. Now, loving it. Did a 48.677 after 4 laps, but I don't care. Just want to race clean, watch the video and jump back into the GT League races for some Cr.
