Just had a weird incident exiting the pits with @Alpha Cipher. I’m not sure if the game put us side-by-side at the pit exit, or if we were ghosting inside each other (inb4 any dirty comments), but the close proximity caused us to both spin off into the gravel trap.
Happened to me with Nothee player. I thought I was being bumped off track. Looked at the replay and we were both escorted off.

Ohh so that was you! I was planning to post a vid about it because I was quite confused with what happened :irked:
From my perspective you were inside my car, but I felt a weird force pushing me to the gravel. I steered back and it just turned into a weird pit maneuver. I know it wasn't you because you're inside the whole time, and it looked like you were being pushed as well
He always has weird incidents.... just report him ;)

I try it for weeks now but he is too fast to get reported.
Hey, I stopped playing because I also had a bit of lag spike in the game. Plz no report  (I'm sure it's not the lag that caused the former incident though)

I know that a. You’ll all be on la sarthe, and b. You’ll never be so low down qualifying, but has anyone had a problem at start of race 2? I was 13th and the car 12th during the auto drive seemed to get stuck, it looked like I was going to overtake during auto drive, then it kept me behind, by the time the 3,2,1 happened and off we went we were at least 5 seconds behind?! Had it once ages ago around Nurburgring GP starting 8th, got stuck still round the least chicane during auto drive. Frustrating to say the least!

Wanted to do race A today, unfortunately the track is the other way around. Need some time to get used to that so another day.

Love these enthusiastic posts. Makes you realise what a brilliant game it is.

I love it too but dont have a Gr 2 and refuse to buy one. Want to win it in the wheel !

I finally got the Grp 2 NSX on the prize wheel on Wednesday last week so have patience, they will come around eventually!

Ghosting out of the pit lane is unfortunately a common thing, it tends to happen if two cars press to leave at the same time.

I was in 1st place coming out pit lane yesterday and had the second place car right on top of me and the game decided I should have a 16 second penalty for ghosting through an opponent...

The Ferrari is the other car today? , tried a few and the Mustang was the clear winner..

Ferrari makes back quite a lot of the ground lost on the straights from the Porsche Curves to Tetre Rouge. Rear tyre wear though means the Ford gets a slightly bigger advantage in race trim though.

Another early top at Le Mans :D

Dood! Are you running under two different flags in Asia? :odd:

Yeh, I had a weird start a few days ago. A bunch of us lost drive and came to a grinding halt. My car on full throttle started to roll backwards!

Come down to DR/C/D mate, you know you want to ;). (One of us! One of us! )

Yez I am  HK feels nostalgic since my PS3 account was HK, so I went for HK in AMS :)

Big Willow was great last night without qualifying

I got up to a clean streak of 8 and then my internet gave out.

Last race I had door number 8, finished 8, up 8 positions, 8th clean race :)

I want to do LeMans today yet my internet is still sporadic at best, calling tech support again :(

Big willow was great last night! Had a few races with you. I find your strategy of not qualifying interesting. I tend to put in at least 10-15 mins of qualy to get a decent time in so that I can have a chance at finishing where the game thinks I should. Until next time!

So what’s the winning strategy for Gr.3 at Le Sarthe today?

I seem to remember recently somebody saying no-pit was the way to go, but not sure if the tire wear and fuel was setup the same as it was last time. Save fuel and no pit? Or pit once no tires? Or full pit with tires and fuel?

And the reason for this carnage cut their meat and lick the gravy.... yes volks, back in the Village again! Things weren't off to a stellar start when I thought I was doing alright and qualified P10 in a grid of DR/Cs.

Race starts ok. Bit more argy bargy than I'd hoped, but none of it near me. I made up a number of places and was looking for a top half finish, when with one lap to go I screwed up the final corner, thought I was clear, and hit the padding on the wall. The car stopped. I finished P14/15. DR down 938 :irked:.

Not happy with my mistake, and tonight was set to be a night of mistakes, I decided to go again . Managed to do a better qualifying time, but still only qualified P9. This was a mixed grid of DR/C and D.

Similar start, and I was making up places. At one point I was in P5. Then I went wide in the ess climb near the end and ended up on the grass. Down to P12. :dunce:. I finished P9. DR down another 211 :yuck:.

Should have cut my losses there, but I'm an idiot. Tried a few cars qualifying for la Sarthe. Last time I qualified in the Viper. I just couldn't get the same time with any of the cars I tried, not even the Viper! Best time was with the last of the V8 interceptors (don't get all excited @05XR8 , I mean the 'vette, not an XB coupe :p) Man did I struggle to get a qualifying time! The track limits were such that half the time it wouldn't register the time! I qualified P4. Was pretty surprised with that .

The race gets underway and by the time we get to the first tricky crawly bit, I'm already a couple of seconds ahead of P5. That was up to 4s by the time we reached Mulsanne. I had a good exit onto Mulsanne, but I could see the gap closing. Down to 2s at the first chicane. Opened up again through the chicane, but started to close again by the second chicane. No idea what they were driving, but seems to be a bit of a dragster. Fast on the straits, but slow on the corners. :dopey:

Time to pit and I made my first major blunder.. again! C'mon, it's only 4 laps for crying out loud, learn to count :dunce:! I thought I was pitting lap 3, so I only filled 1 lap. no tyres. but wait, there's more!!!!! Since I'm obviously retarded, I also completely missed my braking point for the second chicane. OK that's being polite. I didn't *use* a braking point!!!! yeh, what, 260ish kph, foot buried in the floor pan, strait into the barriers. What the frag??? What idiot put a chicane there???.

After collecting myself (I was in P3 on impact) I weaved my way to the pits, picked up a laps worth and finished P11.

And the damage? Despite getting an orange SR on auto drive coming out of the pits (don't ask me how that works) SR still 99. DR down another 251. Another day visiting DR/C.. but not for long the way things are going!

It's quite an interesting bag, actually :)
There's the standard pit halfway with enough fuel and a new set of tires, and then there's some who don't take tires at all. @Lion-Face took an interesting strategy and pitted at Lap 3 in his SLS AMG. The best one I saw however was a no-stop from a Ferrari

All are valid strategies and I saw people win with them
