As promised, here is the video of my battle with T-L 👍

I noticed that we can remove names above cars with F1 key on the keyboard. Shame that it doesn't work in online race...

Great fight ! Nice “live” editing and video. Can never have too much of these races and videos 👍

Great, another chance to show off the car with number! Did I mention I'm an idiot?
Lol :sly:

Aren't you on the European server though? Although I'm originally from the Netherlands, I moved to Canada in '02 and thus on the NA server.
Yes I am from the Netherlands. Funny to hear, thought you were from Scandinavia based on that name. But now I know it could also be Dutch. But indeed I am at European servers. Never thought of that.

Finally got into a groove with the wheel tonight, 3 back to back intense races with a spanish driver, our quali times were 0.1 apart but I had a slight edge on race pace, start to finish chasing each other across three races.

Really invigorated my love for the game, and gave me a confidence kick, especially when race 1 was a penalty ridden shambles (served a penalty and got caught out by much slower/inconsistent drivers = more penalty).

It's rare I come across drivers that can match there qualifying pace in race conditions, as a general rule, my qualifying time is my race pace or target race lap time. All too often I encounter drivers who have a great quali time, but in the race are slow or make errors. This was a welcome change, and much needed!

I love the Nordschleife and typically do very well when it's a N Class Race A. I got 9 wins with the Civic yesterday, and last time it was a race A was the 911 GT3 RS. That time I got 15 wins.

Normally I'm not a fan of FF cars, but it was a tuned Civic yesterday (racing hards and Seq transmission) so it handled very well, and was lots of fun to drive on the Nordy.

10/10 would do it again. Also, had a few races with Sven Jurgens, I didn't realize until now he was SvennoJ.
I too raced with @SvennoJ on the Nords. Just wasn't consistent enough to work my way up to the front like he did , but there were good battles all day for me :D.

Those intense back and forth battles are definitely what the appeal is all about for me. They don't always happen that way (clean and fair) but when they do, it's really amazing and probably the best feeling I've ever gotten from a video game. Cheers bud, keep it up.

Earlier today, I had won my 25th race in Sport Mode, which surpassed my 24 victories last month. Here's my screenshot and video below for this.

Definitely, it doesn't matter what your skill level, if you get matched with evenly skilled and respectful drivers, you get the best races ever! I'd much rather 1 race per day like that, than 10 races being cannon fodder or left behind! Win or lose, you both leave feeling a little bit of euphoria and a connection to the opponents.

I just hate GR.2 cars... Somehow I have a feeling of too much understeer, feeling of "jerkiness", I'm constantly battling with the car.
I can get decent times but it's hard work, no fun at all.

Tried Honda (horrible) and Lexus ( less horrible), playonp with TC 1 or 2, with no TC I just can't push.

Just a bit frustrated :)
To be on topic, had one 4th place on Interlagos today with Lexus, but qualified with nsx, my least favorite car in the game. (But gr3 and gr4 Nsx are somehow great ?!)

Yeah, the GT500 NSX is in a knife's edge with TCS. That rear will slide out, but hooks up at the moment of overseer. Had to get used to that at Maggiore.

Once I got that right, it's became a very quick car.

Playing the meta at the Gr.4 Brands GP daily netted me 3 wins and several podiums tonight.

My 3rd win was effectively gifted to me after a Spaniard who had punted off the Belgian leader (dude did a 1:27 in Q compared to 1:29s) tried serving his penalty near the finish line without having built a big enough gap.

Been trying to recover my SR after a bad day a BMB yesterday tanked my rating from S to B.

Sounds like fun racing!

Not trying to be negative, but qualifying times are supposed to be faster than race pace. If you are consistently racing at that pace, then you aren't trying hard enough during qualifying. Of course it's your decision, but don't feel bad about setting a really fast qualifying lap. I don't even try to match those times during a race, it's too risky.

I did a couple of GR.2 Interlagos races tonight, 6 of em from 7 till 10. As expected it started off very dirty, it usually is between 7 and 8 pm. Luckily I'm back to DR.B so all the bumps and dives didn't get me any penalties. While I had hoped to start last without qualifying there usually were still one or 2 cars behind me ready to dive into T1. You really need to drive that track in a most inefficient way to protect yourself :/

The 7 pm and 7:30 pm races got so bad the game gave up on collision detection. After the same driver bumped me in nearly every corner the game simply let him draft drive through me to solidify again in the one car length gap in front of me to the next car. Then another car did the same. I do like the new track limits. I only got hit once by a car coming from way out in T4. Now people stay on the track 95% of the time instead of 20% of the time :) I did get a 'shortcut' penalty for avoiding a diver in T1 while losing time but oh well, can't have everything.

The later races were a lot cleaner and had some fun back and forth battles. It's just that scrubbing penalties during the race little bits at the time is still interfering with the race. Braking early then blocking the line in the corner is annoying as it increases the gap to the front.

My best result was 8th, 10 places up. Best with clean races bonus, 10th, 8 places up. This game is funny though. On the Nord as DR.A I was constantly matched with B to E drivers, often the only A in the room. Now as DR.B I'm suddenly matched with A+ and mostly A drivers and nothing below B. DR pretty much unchanged, net loss of 68 DR, steady Eddie.

It's going to rain all day tomorrow, however tomorrow's races are all slow slow slow. Tokyo central is my least favorite, DT gardens only flows in the reverse variation and 3 laps on Suzuka, 10.8 miles, can you even call that a race? I guess I'll recharge my batteries for Thursday's GR.1 spectacle.

So, any N300 car. That's awesome. I'm using the CTR. Wonder if anyone will tune an N100 to N300 levels. Also an M3 would be pretty cool. This is going to be like a real Production Car race series.

👎 X-Bows will be the cars of choice. Boooooo

I hate those X-Bows to, lucky i cant drive the thing so i wont be using it. So much choice is confusing for me this early in the day so not sure what to use here....
Edit: The X-Bow isn't as bad as i recall, mainly due to the power having to be lowered.

What? I love DT Gardens! Both variants have a damn good flow IMO
But I agree with the two others. They're a waste...

Damn, I hate meta scrubs! :grumpy:
This could be so cool, but how should PD handle N races, if kids always jump on the meta hype car!?
The community is still the biggest enemy of this game. Instead of racing with respect and trying new cars, 90% of the people choose to pick the Meta car, without training and crashing into everything that moves.....sad truth :indiff:

And I do like the S-FR. I'm sticking with my Honda's though. Still going to have fun regardless. No doubt I'll start fron the back, which should make my replays fun to watch.

Anyone want to compare BoP?

DTG though. Can't wait to tackle that for the night.

Tried the N300 daily once for fun, chose the S-FR Racing Concept. It is actually a two-make between the S-FR and X-Bow. While the X-Bow is clearly faster on the straights, the S-FR can be thrown into the curves faster. Really fun race if you choose one of the two!
Finished 3rd behind two X-Bow.

I did good with the CTR.

I won in a drag race with an R34, X-box and Evo. Another CTR that started at the back, had a nice Lucky Strike livery, but couldn't handle the car. There was a "TOFU delivery" FD that tried to hang with me in thd last lap. Fun stuff.
oh my god it's actually an N300 I thought PD just messed up that one

Awesome paint job. Is that available to steal, I mean use?
Haha. I can share it(I have a Gr. 4 NSX Spoon livery as well). I'll share it after the Gr. 4 race @6:30pm Australia time.
Been waiting since last week, to get the Gaijin-Garage official Spoon liveries(CTR & Gr. 3). They told me Ito be patient, as the friend request to get the liveries, is from an account in Japan.

Why do so many people dislike Dragon Trail Gardens? I love that track, it flows nicely.
 Yes indeedee. Love how it's one of the wider circuits. Fast first turn, technical bits in the middle and nice elevation changes.

Okay, I think this game needs a "Has not pitted" warning. Reason being, players need to see who they are racing. I ran long from 20th place. Cars I raced up to 8th place had pitted. The top 6 rejoined when I crossed the start/finish. The Trophy ahead had the red dunce cap, so he wasn't going to win. The Trophy behind had fresher tyres and I wasn't going to fight.
We enter the back esses before the four brothers right handers. The Trophy is impatient because I was gaining on the one ahead. It comes alongside and punts me in the gravel. Come on man!

It was middle of lap 8. All he/she had to do was wait and I would have backed off before the right handers. Just stuffed me up. I would have been in top 10, cleanly, from the crew that pitted 2 laps before me.

I still finished top 10 with three of my quickest laps. However, this race just showed how no one wants to use the brakes.

I confirm that KTM X-BOW seems to be the car for race B. Just tested this little kart and it's actually fun to drive :)

Currently 1st in the US board with a 2:25.876.

Edit: Currently 1st in the US board with a 2:24.916.

Too fast for me. I got to race with GTP_Litchi several times tonight and can confirm the X-BOW is fun to drive and fast too which helps. But the S-FR's are coming on and can be a handful to deal with in slower sections. In one race I picked up a 10 sec penalty for tapping a fish tailin' Pantera. You can't say that everyday.

When I saw this race coming up I was hoping we would see something like the N class race at Nürburgring. Unfortunately while trying different cars in Time Trial mode (while waiting for the Maintenance that I was told every minute was coming shortly) that the X-BOW was several seconds faster than all the others. Oh well, let's hope they add some more of these races to break up the monotony of GRX all the time, minus the one-makes.

When I get my favorite number, awesome stuff happens.

It's like the seas parted the whole race. I made 3-4 spots per lap for the first 3 laps. Ran in P1 for 2 laps. Pitted and emerged uncontested in P4. Pulled away from a Trophy and 458. This track is the best. in my humble opiniin
