The NSX gibesc me options. Pitted first race after running hard. No pit second race. Just followed a Slophy( a really slow one who was conserving). Moved up 5 positions.

Usually I accept the carnage and race on but lately I'm starting to hate Spanish people. Braking after the turn for me to smash in to them is the latest trick. They get straight line boost I get +5sec ..

 Really?

Yes! Since my reset a while back i'm back at DR: A again! It took me 14 "GTS days". Now at 31XXX, i was at 44XXX which took me 115 days to reach. So i got some points to gain to be back where was, but i'm happy again! :dunce:

Let's get some points today at Le Mans!

Being as Monza is the track that I've had the most success on, I'm appalled by the corner cutting that's happening here lately.

Is there a way to report this.

Can't seem to find anywhere to do so.

I would dearly like to add to my DR tally and usually do around this track but I will not race with cheats.

I do recognise a few of the names on there today that were on there, cheating, the last time it was on the daily races.

Something needs to be done urgently to discourage this behaviour.

A warning notice to those on the top ten boards who are doing this frequently but more importantly adequate time penalties to ensure that the quickest way around the track is by staying between the white line track limits.

Since I don't have a car to join the Slophy Cup race, I did La Sarthe.
Just took it easy. Mr and an M6 started at the back. However, at the final chicane, that same M6 just outbraked itself and was next to me, ghosting. Crazy stuff. And it was waaayyy behind me.

Grrrr! I qualified P6 for Race B. I'm sitting on the grid, revving the guts outta the Porsche, it seems to be taking a long time for the race to start. Then I get the message that I've been disconnected from the server :banghead:. No loss of DR but my SR dropped from 87 to 82 .

Edit: Re-enterd and this time got as far as racing. My SR drop showed match fixing at it's finest. Before the disconnect I was the highest qualified DR/D on my grid. there was two Bs and three Cs above me and all Ds behind me. This time I hit the SR/As. On pole was an S/A, then came eight B/As. Below me was two D/S, a couple of C/As and another B/A. I started P10 on the grid.

The race gets under way and things were surprisingly clean. I picked up a penalty touching the blue coming onto the strait. I was about to be passed coming up to the first chicane in Mulsanne, but they realised they wouldn't make the chicane so they backed off and ducked in behind me. Happened again at the second chicane. Picked up another small penalty at one of the tight 90deg turns but stayed ahead, just.

I picked up some places along the way, but got passed by a Mustang and a Ferrari on the second run on Mulsanne. Was carrying a 3s penalty across the line with another car right up my bum coming out of the final corner. Finished P7. Not too shabby :dopey:.

DR went up, SR back to 87. I suspect the fair result will mean I'll tank in Race C .

Well, it's been an hour and no one has posted, so on with the next race! Race C. I did some qualifying laps with the NSX, then managed to better my time with the Viper. I also know that whilst not entirely kind on tyres (at least the way I drive ), even bouncing off the rev limiter on the shifts I'll still get at least a lap up on fuel economy over most of them. The Viper it is :dopey:. Qualified P8/20. We had it all on the grid, DR/A+, A, 6 x B, 2 x C and the rest, my peeps, the Ds (Drift, Drive, Dream?).

The flag drops, auto dumps us and we are racing! I took an inside line for T1, but stupid me still wasn't inside enough and managed to get crowbarred outward. Made it through the melee on to the 2nd turn after the T1/2 chicane, where I was forced wide and picked up a penalty. Picked up another penalty going on to the red after I was again crowbarred wide. 2.2s all up which I carried through to the end of the race.

I pitted P5 with a couple of laps to go. New boots and 2 laps of fuel (yeh, I managed to get that right for a change :O) and dropped to P7 coming back on to the track. I probably should have pitted a lap earlier because I was loosing time with tyre wear. Crossing the line I had someone right up my rear. Crossed P7 but dropped to P8. P5 with all that B/S erm I mean all those B/Ss would have been groovy, but P8 is still a result in my book! And no orange SRs (Whoohoo!).

DR up another 736 and SR back to 99 . (Does the happy dance). Another day above DR 1 :D.

I actually had a clean race a and won. Started 2nd behind a cheater top 10 time by .03x. Passed him easily and won and he attempted his fast lap but failed. Why do people even try that?

Edit: also watched first place qually in the NA and that time is dirty also...

So is it cheating or not using an exploit?

La Sarthe was fun today, although there was a bit of a "Mustang Meta" emerging- I've been driving it because it suits my driving style, but it's fast as a thief in a straight line, which pays off at Le Mans. I ran a good Q lap in the Jag, but got soundly dropped in the race, so I went back to the Motown Pony. What really drove me nuts was that the runoff penalties are now worse than contact penalties.

I've seen so many different Gr.3's win at this track I would say there certainly isn't a meta. In fact I'm impressed with the BoP balance.

I will say though that the Mustang is a good choice especially if you aren't a superstar at the track. It's sheer speed makes up for mistakes.

But it's weaknesses are in the Porsche Curves for sure, gets left in the dust there.

Had the honor of meeting a cheater in Monza today. What a disgrace.
I have not seen this yet, where exactly are they cutting the track? Are the track limits penalties not strict there anymore? Last time I played monza it was pretty strict and blowing the t1 chicane was slower than staying inside the white lines

Hmm. That hasn't been my experience. There are better options, but I can smoke through there in the Mustang just fine. Best Q was a low 4:04 in it.

Watch the replays of the top 5 or so. They are not even braking for turn 1. They get reset and go on about their way slowly getting rid of their penalty.

Seeing all the megane trophies makes me feel we will never see the end of them being in the meta. The game might as well be sponsored by renault at this point.

In the first turn. Normally, you'd brake at or before the 200m mark to prepare for the sharp turns. Some don't stop and go through the off limits area, forcing the game to reset their car. Compared to someone slowing down and making the turns, the offender will be 1-2 seconds ahead. Over the 4 laps, this adds up and the offender can easily burn off the penalty times and still have a generous gap ahead of 2nd place.
