Just got finished grinding Race B. Pretty successful day all in all considering the massive hangover i am carrying. This was the first time i can remember i actually tried really hard for a long period of time to grind for rating (also didnt rage quit which helps the dr). Ended up at around 10 wins (honestly cant remember how many it's all a bit of a blur tbh). Slowly but surely i put together better and better qualies which helped me skip the massacre at the hairpins. Ended up with a best qualy of 2.26.655 but with some more consistency i could get below 2.26 just couldnt get the lap together always ended up going overly aggressive on the throttle since it's first time i've been trying without tcs (i'm on DS4). Next step is breaking 30k

Trying some run yesterday in Kyoto GR.4 once, it was fun but too much Megane so I move to Suzuka although I can jump 5 position with M4 but I feel not safe in there. Try qualify with BMW get peak 2:02 so I just stop and trying one race with M6 curious with how good the short shift run, well it didn't end good do 6K all the way fuel too thirsty and too slippy (I forget how slippy M6 was  ) I finish last in first race.

Move to midnight cause lack of sleep trying to sleep but I can't sleep at all till now, I driving RCF '17 and Lancer with RCF I only get top 5 as highest when start in 9 but with Lancer I can get 1 win despite very sleepy, this sleepy effect so much to my race

In 1 race lose focus 3 times and hit people with almost same pattern like this :dunce:, SR down to A (didn't check how low I fall) after race said sorry to each player I get hit.

Last race doing the race for sake of ranked up my SR and start from 2nd not even trying to pass him he get advantage about 2 sec but in Dunlop Curve he spin out so I take the position after pit he try to attack me but spin in Spoon area (thanks to astroturf duh) that's how I get my win.

Something funny always happen after I get 3rd clean races, if not a spin out then get a penalty worse get both

Suzuka is not my strongest in GR.3, far from it. My lap times are 2:03 at best yet matchmaking keeps placing me with much faster people. Which is fine, I wasn't qualifying anyway, just relaxed racing from the back. I thought I wasn't doing too badly, always gaining a bunch of positions, and never timing out, just not often making it into the top 10. So after 6 races I'm another 3K DR lighter, not so easy come, very easy go.

I was graced with one penalty from a car going wide on the way to the chicane at the end of the lap while bumping another car even wider, that car bumped him back causing him to spin and shoot straight into the wall in front of me. Unlucky for me I T-boned him right before he crashed into the wall, total crash for me and 4 sec penalty. Then race 5 seconds behind everyone else. I still gained a few positions since it was only lap 2 and no SR loss, just annoying to end up the worst of 2 others battling yet again.

Oh I tried the Ferrari Italia first. Not a good idea. With the accelerated tire wear you're more drifting than turning in lap 5. Fun to go sideways through corners, yet very inefficient. The rest I have been racing in the 911, old reliable, yet also got boring. Perhaps I'll take the Corvette out later tonight. It's fuel hog that corners nicely. If only I could take the R92CP out :)

Bring GR.2 Suzuka back, I'm much more competitive in that. Even in N300 I was much more competitive with the GT40. GR.3 has too many fast drivers! Mister Suzuka NZ* is currently racing, so winning is off the table for me for sure! I had not seen him in a while, back for a Suzuka winning streak no doubt. Good luck!
In the races I did with no qualy I could get into the 2.00s with the GTi VGT and the Beetle and 2.01s with the Z4. Ended up hotlapping afterwards to see how fast I could go and managed a 1.59.8 in the rs01 renault. Think I could have gone faster in the Beetle or GTi. Both have 7 speed and the gearing is gapped really well. Also very good traction out of the slow corners and the front end has good grip and turn in in both is pretty good with the edge to the Beetle.

Not what I would normally run but decided to try some different non meta cars

I managed to brake into the 2:02's later at night on Suzuka after I switched to my 4K HDR tv, better view is faster! Still not anywhere near fast enough to get a podium but I almost made it top 5.

My best and not so best results today

Dodge Viper was in the daily B, 8th was the best I could climb too, most races I didn't even break the top 10 though. Too short.
Then I started on Suzuka with the Ferrari sliding all over the place on worn tires, tripple door number finish is bonus points?
So I switched to the Porsche for a while until I got bored of it and tried the Corvette. Big mistake to drive that after the Porsche as you need to brake just a bit earlier in the Vette, especially for the Spoon curve. Don't let the 5 positions up for that race fool you, 5 people quit.... I was dead last and timed out after going wide and spinning about 5 times.
Thus back to the Porsche, on the big screen, much better with a steady climb from the back.

Only one race was very dirty. It started with this incident yet afterwards I got bumped off 3 times in that race.

5 sec penalty for getting rammed. I see a car in front going wide, hug the left to leave room for his re-entry, however the car behind me squeezes in that spot and gets hit by the track re-entry, he hits me, I skid on the dirt and hit him back out of my control and I'm the one ending up with the penalty. Always fun. People re-entering the track like that should get DNF.

No danger to SR today, DR settled on 35K, down from 43K last night.
Tomorrow gamble with SR on Bluemoon, or shed more DR on Interlagos. Bluemoon probably, Interlagos is only fun with GR.1.

Any update to the weekly races or have PD shut that down?

Last Friday, when it was the start of the Audi TTS one make races on Tokyo Central outer loop, did 3 races all unqualified. All started within top ten, finished 5th, 6th and 6th.

Today, just did a quick hour on Race B. Never done this configuration so it got my interest. Results were - literally forgot the first one (although I have the replay), 2nd race 10th, 3rd race 12th and last race 9th. Tanked my DR, but ah well.
The first two races were done with the NSX Gr.4, it was fun, but didn't instill the best performance out of it due to learning the track. Switched to the Audi TT and just saw my PB drop in the last two races. Race 4 was slightly messy, but saved the replay and watched it, will learn from it - especially driving etiquette. Logged a 2:36 for qualifying time trial and managed to improve in race to to get a 2:31. Went back to the Time trial and confirmed this in the third lap, very happy with the result. If I kept pushing, I might still be able to get into the 2:30 mark, which would minimise the gap to the #1 qualifying time. But I'll save that for another day.

Daily workout done :)

It sucks how daily gr.4 races have become Mégane Trophy cup races... PD definitely ruined the class with that car.

Did two races yesterday, first was very good, came in fourth from ninth iirc, pretty decent result.
Second race started good, but there was a lot of dirty driving going on, I was behind two cars fighting extremely dirty, they were constantly bashing into each other. I tried to keep some distance as to not get involved but close enough to hopefully take advantage when they do really crash off.
It didn’t work out as planned as their fighting allowed the cars behind to catch up. I wouldn’t want to say they were also driving dirty, but they sure weren’t very careful either, I got pushed off on purpose coming out of T1 on the final lap, I went through T1 very wide so they understandably tried to pass on the inside. As I was just able to hold on to the outer edge of the tarmac, we were two wide on exit and I thought at the time I was pushed off because his momentum. But the replay clearly showed we were side by side and he steered to the right to push me off, I saw the center marker on his wheel clearly move as he drove into me. There was room on his left, so he could have ‘let me live’ but decided not to...
So another player made it onto my blacklist...

Of the three daily races yesterday, the only win I had was at race A (shown below).

I was thinking of using the normal Meganne for the Daily Race C (GR.4 at Interlagos) today. I managed to get a 1:38.0 in quali, so am thinking I can use the straight line speed to get past on the straights and then simply block the racing line on the twisty bit where the trophy is superior.

Admittedly I have no idea about tyre wear and fuel as I didn't get a chance to try it, but I have a plan :)

From my last Interlagos races versus the Slophy, no need to block them. There's basically one line to run the Infield. Just pull away after Senna esses and the final turn. If they still show better tyre and fuel wear, so be it.

The Trophys are out? ON MY INTERLAGOS?

*Angry Viper engines revving in the background *

Let's go have some fun ;)
Whoops I have your Viper
One race I'll give it back to you :p

Edit: 1:39.517... rip me so bad

Edit 2: 1:38.343 in a beautiful Hyouka liveried 'Vette! :D lesson learned: Watch Hyouka, Watashi Kininarimasu, profit
Man I think I'm past my prime. If I set this time a little over a month ago I'd literally be mad about myself for being barely a second off the pace from the Top 10

Within 1s from top 10 is my main target everyday.:lol::lol: Alien won’t understand us.:dopey:

In my race, all the Slophys in front pitted. One or two at the back didn't pit. An NSX didn't pit and just fell off the pace with 3 laps to go. Mayor half az was at the front again...

I've got a 38.8.

I've qualified 3rd, first and second are both Lancer Evos. Only one trophy in this room but it is in the back

Dude in first is over a second up on second... great.

Edit: ran most of the race in second, fell back to 6th with mistakes but was able to rebound to finish 3rd.

Man, I can't remember the last time I won a race on Daily Race C and Interlagos or any other track to be honest. I'm starting not to like Daily Race C tbh. It's not the amount of laps that's the issue, it's the extreme rate of the tire wear...

I just don't like wearing my tires that significantly in such a short amount of time. With every lap you make you have to make a lot of adjustments to how you drive the car. It happens too quickly for me to wrap my head around.

I used the Vette and hoped for an undercut at Lap 5. Today I learned you cannot undercut if no one else will pit

I thought the tires would hopefully wear as much on the Trophies as my 'Vette, forcing them to pit. I dropped down to 9th from 5th, ended 6th

The SLS has good fuel economy. I had 1.5laps in the tank. However, the front right tyre was a bit on the edge. So, I pitted end of lap 7, when I began slowing up to make the corners.

Down in SR C today after a few messy Race B and Cs earlier, pretty hard to avoid all the penalties down here especially in the early laps at Inter Lagos. Managed a no stop in the Evo just now but didn't gain any places started 9th and finished there, got 15 manner points though, back to B/B. Anyone else going non stop or is a 1 stop better? Guess its easier fuel saving when your in someone else's tow which is where I usual find myself...

I don't find my tyre wear changes quite so dramatically. Usually about the time I pit the handling is more to my liking. The moral of this story... drive slower and your tyres last longer .

I looked at Race B and thought to myself, self, do I really wanna do this? I kinda suck at speedways (yeh yeh, you guys in the peanut gallery can shuddup with the "you suck at every track!" :p). I figured that with T1 being tight and people being over enthusiastic, if I can keep off the wall that should be good for a few places :dopey:. So I do a few laps with the love bug, more just to practice not hitting the wall on T1 and 3. I assumed that since my speedway technique isn't that great, I'll probably qualify around p12-14. The grid only had 4 DR/Cs, the rest Ds, but since I'm just disguised as a DR/C, it was about right 👍. Qualified P7/16. Was happy with that.

Race starts and round and around and around we go! Wheeeee! I made up positions on the first corner. Not sure why everyone seemed so slow there. I found myself in the lead pack of P1-4, which is a singularly weird place to be :scared:. I kept up with them for most of the race, with the guy in P3 weaving from side to side like he was trying to block me. I had to back off a number of times to avoid a collision because I was getting better speeds out of corners. I came out of T2 better than him and slingshot up the outside, and my energy polariser must have started to harness that Orgone energy. I flew past P2 and P1 into the lead! It was glorious ......... for all of a few seconds till we hit T3. I was going faster than I'm used to, didn't back off enough for the corner and lightly scrapped the wall. Not hard enough or for long enough to get a penalty, but enough to ruin my clean race bonus.. and drop back to P4 . The speed I lost from the wall meant I wasn't close enough to the front 3 to get a tow from P3. P4 was the finish with no penalties. Happy with that :D.

SR still on 99, DR up 600.

The best battles are ones in the midfield! :D

Got a penalty, but honestly that was my stupidity getting overzealous at the last turn  I saw this Mayor half azz guy running like a total maniac. Oh man I was pissed  I wasn't even that close to him!

But, fiiinnneee I'll cave in. I'll use the damned Trophy. I tried a no-stop in the NSX, bad strategy. Dropped to 14th

Used the STI at Interlagos. Did pretty good. Started 6th. Everyone raced fair. Had to check this flouro green Slophy, for doing the bump and run. I returned serve and it played nice after that.

I caught a curb penalty and bled it down to 0.2 for the finish. Made sure not to hold up the cars behind and signalled for them to pass as they had momentum after my pit stop. Dropped to 13th. Got my rhythm and closed in on the last lap. Had to make sure I could jump anyone with a +1 second penalty. Sure enough, finished back in 6th.
