I did some practice laps on Interlagos on Time Trial to get ready for this week’s race. My question is if BOP is in effect for Time Trial as well because my fastest time was with the GR.3 Beetle which was about 2 seconds faster than the 911, Mercedes, and the R8.
BOP is not applied in Time Trial.

Gr 3 interlagos and gr 1 at monza lools good for the next week. Didnt get as much time to lap the ring as I would have liked last week ended with an 8.05 qually time but didnt get to use it in any races.

I usually time it pretty short to enter the race, 110 left on the clock. (Matching actually starts 1 minute after entry closes). That doesn't seem to effect it, the more races you do in a row seems to effect the chance of getting booted during the loading screen. I always restart the game between races to avoid that.

Last night I had entered well before entry closed as I got disconnected during the first lap of the previous race. I got disconnected after warm-up so entering the lobby went fine. Bad luck I guess.
Once, I sat for the 15 minute entry period and got booted. However, this was before "the bug".

At first I thought I was getting points taken off for bad drivers in daily races, but now I think my ratings are glitched. Just won the last few races and had issue free clean races and somehow my driver rating went from a B to a D as well as my SR even though it was blue for most of the races. It just kept dropping very fast for some reason. It sucks because now I am winning every race by around 5 seconds and there is no competition. Originally I was an A driver before I took a little hiatus from the game over the summer. Really confused about this though so if anyone has any insight it would be appreciated because I’d like some competition again!

I'm guessing Cayman. However, if a "provided" Gr.4, maybe Scirocco with multiple color choices.
Scirocco it is.

Won't last long

Oh yeah, why would anybody at PD chose an italian car on an italian track? How ridiculous this would be! :sly:
For sure. Think I'd pick the 458 over the 4C. More color choices. ;)

Done for now. Gr.1 time.

Edit: Started 12th. Finished 12th. With a highest place of 9th before I followed the Dodge off the track. I counted the laps and pitted lap 4. the Gt-R LM showed 8.6 laps of fuel in the tank, So, I just added one more lap just in case.

Ran 11th and an R18 caught and passed me. Finished the last 3 laps all alone.

Last weeks i'm trying a lot of different cars.
Now, with the Gr3 cars i'm in 4 something new. One of the cars that intrigues me is the Viper!
For one or another reason it feels like this car has a lot of potention, but i don't seem to get everything out of it. A lot of the times when i try to beat a Gr3 time, it feels like i go really good and fast, but translated to raw pace, it always falls short. I figured out i have to drive it with 2-5 front BB.

Anyone has the same or has some advice 4 this one? Grtz

Finished where I started.
Messed up the start and a potential win. No HUD and forgot about the False Start check. Sent me to last. Kept pressing and made up time. Couple cars went off and that helped my cause. No doubt using the Scirocco at RBR, has reacquainted me with it's handling.

To what if you don't mind me asking? I managed a low 37s in race but best I managed in qual was a mid 37s.

I have a Fanatec wheel. Happy to list full settings if you have the same wheel.

I can describe the change. My "go to" GR4 cars are the Evo and Atenza and I have a good wheel setting for these to cope with the AWD. This setting is a bit "spongy" so I don't feel so much understeer from the car as I turn the wheel. My assumption was this setting would be ok for the Lambo GR4 as it is AWD too. It isn't. The Lambo needed a much more direct setting, so I used the same setting I have for the Beetle GR3 - here the turn in closely matches between the wheel and the car.

Evo - brake balance +5 (1.37.199 - and I couldn't get close to that time consistently)
Lambo - brake balance +3 (1.36.917 - opt was 1.36.300, but I wanted to race and was happy that I broke the 37s)

No TCS on either car.

The Viper both for Gr4 and Gr3 is very under rated. I usually find I'm the only one driving it. You have to remember that qualifying and racing are not the same, so you might find it a bit ordinary qualifying, but racing it comes alive... or spins out . Things changed a lot after the tyre model changed. BB depends on the track to a certain extent. For Bathurst I had it front biased, for N24 I had it neutral. Some cars seem faster than they are because of the engine note.

Is it just me or sometimes in the corners the car loses some traction, like if there is a bit of oil on the road. Am i the only one that this happens??
My theory is that the game plays tricks on you.

I lost a race in on the exit of the last Karussell (please excuse the spelling) - I had a 5 second lead. I had not gotten close to an error the whole race ... and was avoiding the curbs. Well ... the car just carried me over and plopped me into the dirt ... I sat there for a rotation of the earth, almost ... and came 3rd I think ...

I also think after you overtake someone whose made an error - the game is likely to test you too in the not too far distance.

And yes for me, the handling is like in slow motion at the start, if there are over 12 cars and your further back than 4th.

I won my last race at N24 and I did not deserve to win ... I started 4th I think and got into second after the first corner, but I picked up a penalty of 4 seconds - if you hit someone on the outside of the first left corner at N24, you get a big penalty. The driver also passed me, so give me a break ... but anyhow, in front they drifted wide and through I went into second. Maybe the game got them after all?

Anyhow a couple of A drivers were behind me on the long straight - bu not gaining. And then - they sure did. So from being 0.7 seconds behind and I thought I was leaving them in the Porsche - the suddenly were causing by me ... two cars and into 4th I went ... and of course, I got bumped at the corner before the pits, and into the fence I went - I left with 6.5 seconds penalty, and was now in 7th or 8th place ... into the pits I went, and strangest of all - I came out 4th. Weird ... so towards the end of the race, I gained a place and was gaining a little time - then my friend who bump me and passed me in the Supra, he ran wide and I was second - the Ford GT who also bumped me was leading - but he also ran wide. I couldn't believe it - I got alongside as he recovered - I had tried to avoid him. But then he hit me sideways twice - he tri4d to put me into the sand on the right side of the left hander before the final Karussell ... the game kept me on the track I reckon. Then he tried it again at the Karussell and the game kept me on the bitumen ... then after the Karusell on that right hander - poor guy he found the sand on the left of the track at that first right hander which leads to the big straight. I still had over 5 secons of penalty still to pay back ... but he got stuck in the sand poor guy and I slowed before the finish and one by a over a second. Those guys did hit me but I didn't deserve to win. Sometimes its really a game ...

I have a Fanatec wheel. Happy to list full settings if you have the same wheel.
I have PS4 Elite setup, with V3 brakes and I use the Porsche wheel. But its not supported in the game, although it works. But the force settings work on any wheel I think ... i'd love to try some settings to find out the effects, I'd be very grateful for some help from your experience..

You have to manually turn on the BOP in the car settings menu. It is on the left under the car picture - BOP on/off. Then you can practice :)

The thing that really annoys me, is the negative correlation between manner points and performance. The developers must surely know - the ones who do well, are having the crashes and their manner points go down. Really - if two cars collide, maybe both should suffer a power downgrade for the rest of the race. That might stop accidents. I don't know what else will.
I think you're 100% right about that, it will be harsh when you get hit, your race is over, but then again, with the current system it's over in 90% of the races.
On the other hand, if a proper damage system is implemented there might be more "kids" joining weekly (or even FIA) races with only one goal: taking out and crashing as many cars on track as possible, which will probably make GTS end up in the same place my last Forza games ended: in the trash bin!

I was 2nd on a Daily B a while back at Brands Hatch and came across the finish line, put the controller down and waited for the cars behind to finish. Unfortunately it was only when they passed me at full speed and my car was drifting into the pit wall that I reallised there was another lap to go.:(
I have done this so many times ! Did it again over the weekend.

D'OH !

The only GR.1 I have is the Porsche 919. Is that any good for race C? Or should I look at getting something else?

Waiting for the midnight run for Race C. Just did some qualifying with the Group C Peugeot. 7s off the pace for the top 10 but that's fine. It will be the first race of the week and I'll have a chance to see how things go. My guess is chaos at the bend and carnage at the chicane following it. Think I'll change my pre-race comment from "we who are about to die salute you" to "gentlemen start your engines. The dash for crash at T1 begins!"

Sauber C9 was really competitive. Made my way up to 6th. Then, I tried the outside line into the Parabolica. Bad choice.
The car inside got loose. Typical opportunist move was too early in the race.

Started on RM. Then RH.

FIA races have damage right? The last time I did one my car was severely handicapped in lap 1 by some other driver crashing into me. Being able to enter multiple FIA races will be beneficial to griefers. Use one race to set your time, the next to cause damage. Hopefully PD has thought about this (unlikely) and will prevent people re-entering that crashed into another car in a previous entry.

I was Monza'd. I was stuck on a grid way higher than me, as a result, I started P15/18. I know the car is capable, the DR/S on pole was using the same one. Was nice to see a few Group C cars there.

As predicted, it was a fiasco. I was shunted into the barriers at the first chicane, then punted into the sand and down to P18 :banghead:. I worked my way up slowly, managed to get past some people, but ended up in the sand again. Trying to get out of the sand I spun, then hit the wall, then finally managed to get it pointed in the right direction and continued on my merry way . Nearly caught P14. Pretty sure if I hadn't been smacked off I'd have finished a few more places up. Glad I did a no stop or last place for sure.

There were a lot of penalties and a lot of red SRs at the end.. like more than half! My SR was blue :p. Lost a bit under 600 DR. Day 2 of DR/C .

Jumped into Race A, only had time for 2 laps qualifying but instantly felt at home in the VW and Maggiore being a favourite it went well.

Second race got a penalty after someone divebombed the inside of the last turn then hit the wall. Gotta watch that.

So we have tyre strategy for Race C? That's cool, looking forward to that.

Any advice/tips on what strategies you have all used so far?

Same. I got a penalty because people divebombed the hell out of me, hit my car, went wide and I get 4s pen.

Also, why would you put weak draft here? It's impossible to get away from people behind you.

i'm the outside of interlagos T1 , guy side hits me on the inside , he spins out i get 3sec penalty , classic BS penalty system
