What a pity

Well i could do it xD but i don't have a PC where i can edit it neither the quality skills for it i think. Also i don't know if i have time for that as i am also doing other things like studyings etc

As you can see there was some pretty crazy driving down the field; drivers with 20+ sec penalties.

I stay well away from the demolition derby that is Tokyo... in any configuration. I usually get slammed so hard and so often by other cars that my penalties are up to 1min in pretty short order :banghead:.

Matchmaking was the usual DR-S/A+ to DR-D, but there was also some SR-B/C mixed in amongst the SR-S. I know it's early days, but I think it pays to qualify the best you can! Also, the more people learn the track, hopefully, the racing will get better.........

it won't. Things will only go downhill from here. That seems to be the usual pattern as the week wears on . Good luck out there. I've given up on Sport Mode.

Thanks @RZQSPEED,
I'm watching that eagerly. Always hope to find that special secret, that one hint that divides the fast from, well, me. But truth is, there is no magic inside and all info is already given so it simply takes practice and then more practice. So I guess the best advice fast guys like @Tidgney and @TRL LIGHTNING can make is "go out for another lap"...

After watching that WR lap,it has me wondering about track limits again. Are you always safe if you keep the outside tires off of the curbing? Can the outside tires get on the curbing? Is the limit always determined by the outside tires, or does the inside (say hitting the dirt) sometimes determine the limit? Does anybody know? I ca see that, to get a really fast time, I'll need to use alot more curb.

As for this lap you only needed to keep at least 2 tyres on the kerb (for example senna s) with the penalty system been set to weak.

What is this "Senna s" I keep hearing about? I'm guessing it's some kind of s turn on some track? Google only shows articles about Ayrton Senna who apparently was a successful F1 driver.

The first two corners on S1 is called "the senna s"

Oh thanks, but you didn't say which track :) , but I just found out on Google that it's the first chicane from interlagos.
Edit, ah you did, while I was posting this. Edit2, oh wait that was El_Tim. But whatever, thanks, overall I have no clue what the names of turns are, would be nice to know some of the more famous ones though.

Well sometimes being restricted to posting at work is a little bit frustrating but I am happy to write I achieved my goal
over the weekend though it had some rough moments.

Current stats from Kudos Prime: darth_tails | 12030 / 99 (1415 races)

So DR B once again and back to SR S, it was rough in places as I went up and down a fair bit yesterday but goal achieved, now I have
to focus on staying here!

Though I agree that track time is important, there is much to be gained with knowledge. For instance, I watched that WR lap and the first thing I noticed (compared to my laps) was the perfectly smooth arc from turn-in, to apex, to exit in turn 1. Also, how much curbing he used. I could ask half a dozen questions on that turn alone. Where is your brake marker? Do you hit brakes hard, or ease into full pressure? Do you let off to turn in, or trail brake,(or let off to turn THEN trail) and if trail braking, do you trail all the way to the apex? When trail braking, do you ease off the pedal as you approach the apex, or do you ease off to a point, then hold until apex? When brake is released, are you imediately on the gas or is there a moment of coasting to confirm your line will hold before getting on the gas? When you hit the curbing on exit, do you "backpedal" the throttle to keep straight? (That last one would be more for exiting onto the straight). Oh yes, there are MANY questions! And (im sure) those answers will depend on the car, the tires, the setup, and the corner. These kinds of tips are one of the (many) reasons I joined this forum.

BTW, though I've never raced a car, I did do some motorcycle roadracing in the 90's, and though I was (relatively) fast for my experience level, one thing I did learn is that a lot of this kind of info (brake markers, turn in point, lines) don't work if you're not fast enough. Even tires. There was always someone that wanted the "fast tire" that "so and so" was using, and they wouldn't listen when told that the tire wouldn't work for them because they were't pushing it hard enough. My point being, though the info is always useful, that doesn't always mean it will work for you or me.

Aww don't give up. Embrace the chaos. DR/SR is just a bunch of numbers in the end. Your race reports are always a good read and will be missed. There will be good races as well!

What are the "daily races" for the week? the GTS app isn't showing them this morning...
Daily A:
One Make at Tsukuba with Fugu Z (7 laps)
Daily B:
Gr.4 at Suzuka (4 laps)
Daily C:
gr.3 at Tokyo Expressway - South Inner Loop (8 laps)
Fuel consumption is x5 and Tyre Wear is x7

Seems Softs is the way to go for C, went from 15th to 8th with no stop Hards but it doesn't go well in the long run, i had to let some cars pass since i was slowing them down

Until PD fixes their 🤬 and either puts things back the way they were or finds a better way of arranging matching so that those at the lower levels can actually have a race, there's no point. Being stuck on a grid where the only time you get close to anyone is when someone up front screws up is no fun. And then when they get back on track they push you off the track because they drive as though you weren't there because they "are in a hurry to get back to their position". That's not racing, that's just circulating. I might as well be doing hot laps.

Instead I got my jollys erasing a stain on my record that's been bugging me for a while. Got the final gold I needed for all gold for Nurburgring circuit experience.

3 blue screens in the last 5 races. Just as I begin the first lap.

That explains why you are losing SR then. That counts the same as quitting and that is the worst thing that you can do with regards to SR and DR, you lose lots of both.

Also whilst everyone gets blue screens 3 in 5 races is very excessive so there could be something causing it to happen to you more than it should. :(

You are completely right. Discussing tracks and driving technique is something I could do for hours and that is one major part making you faster. What I wanted to say is that books and videos about that are at hand and now it's only up to me to transfer it into faster lap times as they all lack the feedback fellow racers can give. Perhaps we should have a "discuss our technique"thread.
