You got the last one wrong. One-Make Red-Bull X2014, Northern isle speedway, 60 laps.
Oops. Sorry. I was close, though.

It would be nice to see Infield A again.
The last time I raced there, I think it was a B race, with Gr.4 cars. I remember it being a pretty fun race. :)
I would love to do it with the '67 Nova (http://www.chrisholstromconcepts.com/1967-chevy-nova/) . I just really love that car, but we'll probably never be able to use it in the weekly races. Obviously I dig the street cars. Gr.3 & 4 are getting old.

I could swear that race C this weeks gets dirtier every time I enter. Punted off every race.

I lost my temper in the final race of the day, having been punted off on lap 1 from 3rd. I am working my way back through the field , I get a much better exit out of spoon, and the guy in front waits till I am alongside and then rams me onto the grass. I give him the benefit of the doubt, and he delayed himsekf more than me, but then a few seconds secs later he does the exact same thing again, so it is obviously on purpose. So I'm still right on his bumper, on the inside going into 130r. It's pretty obvious what I did to get revenge.... honestly some peope are so thick, I dont think they even consider the very very obvious repurcussions that are likely to come their way from their dirty driving.

I need some decent race options next week that will encourage clean racing, or else a break from the game is in order.

Race A is surprisingly clean for Sunday afternoon. I'm up to a clean streak of 9 so far, knock on wood. I qualified, yet still starting last most races, working my way up to hopefully top 5, although sometimes the field is so fast I have a 5 lap battle for 11th, which is awesome too. Apparently the game doesn't think I'm doing well as my DR started dropping again. A fastest lap and 9 clean races in a row with 4th place finish, going pretty well in my eyes.

Hmm, red alert, starting 5th next. SR.S is getting split now more people are on. No more A/S, B/S to C/S. Hopefully the car behind me doesn't break my clean streak.

Survived! 6th had a faster start for some reason so let him go first through T1, then he was holding me up most of the race, which resulted in about 5 bumps by the car behind me. Luckily either the penalty system didn't care or gave the correct car SR Down. I finally passed original 6th and 4th, finished 4th, fastest lap, clean streak at 10.

I"m sure you won't be seeing as many USA flags, once the Super Bowl starts. 👍
Do Canadians watch the big game?

What game?

I don't watch sports. The only time Ive watched hockey was when Canada was in the finals at the winter Olympics and my theater room was taken for the match. People running or skating back and forth with a lot of down time, I do not see the appeal of that.

Well, then I like your odds of racking up about 10 consecutive wins in the roughly 3.5 hour window. 👍 Oh, wait. The South Americans probably won't be watching, either. :nervous:

@sturk0167 yeh but the suspense is killing me. I’ve worked every day except 2 since the start of January but I’m off tomorrow and have the house to myself. Praying to the GT Gods that there’s a car & track combo I like now that I’ll finally have a few hours to play.

Got time for 4 races today. Daily B, Nurby GP with the Lexus Prototype. Think it was 4 4th place starts. Had 6th, 3rd, 3rd & 2nd place finishes. DR back to 9,500 and knocking on DR B after losing 5K points at Bathurst last week. SR back to 98 too.

All clean fun accept for a poor German in an R8 who tried to bully me inside on T5 but found himself outside and on the gravel on T6. I mean like, do these people not think you are going to defend just as aggressively as they attack?:sly:

Welcome to GTP. The kick from lobby is a long running, common and very much ignored by PD issue. Pay attention to your lobbies and you’ll see that you regularly have a P8 for example but start P7 because another player gets kicked. Some folk have taken to restarting the game between every race.
Ya I see that Alot, I thought i was seeing thinks I keep moving uup a place

My stats of a week on Nurburgring is 1 win, 1 pole, 1 clean race and a bunch of top 5’s.
And I’m saying goodbye to my G27 by getting my Dr up to B, and restoring my Sr to 99. Not to shabby, if I may say so myself.
Tomorrow, I’m picking up a G29, so I hope there’s at least 1 race that I’ll like next week. Especially since junior is going back to his mom on Friday, so the weekend could mean a lot of races if I like them

In only a few laps (hint: 3 laps!), I've managed a 1:29.787 for Race A, so I decided to race there. Oop, 7 cars with me on pole! And it's a smooth sailing race to victory! Thank you @Pigems for the lap to analyse!

And somehow as a victory celebration, I got an F1500T-A from the DWG, and it's the first one from there as well! (I actually bought one long before I got it as a DWG now)

A question for all...is it possible that PD did something with the penalty system? I just raced C, started 13/15, finished 6th.;) I accidentally bumped a couple of people from behind, and got an SR down both times. First was after the start going into T1. We're not even at full speed with the standing start, and the guy in front brakes at about the 125 ft point and the car in front of him is 3 lengths clear. I usually brake at 90 ft when up to speed, and that's conservative. My bump pushed him a bit wide, but it was so early that I didn't get by and he easily made the apex of T2. The next bump was coming out of the esses. Lots of traffic and I was off throttle when there was a 4 car brake check. I bumped the guy in front of me, but only because I was bumped from behind, so the SR down may have been from the guy behind on that one, but not the first. Just curious. I'll be paying closer attention.

I’ve been racing C mostly this week, I know everyone hates the Acura, but the racing has been fun, for me anyway. With a 39.7 I’ve been getting mostly top 5 grid spots, and it’s been common for the first 2 or 3 to stay as a pack all race. 7 laps nose to tail trading spots is a blast, when it’s clean, even if the car isn’t the greatest.

Any little tap on the car in front has been giving the orange SR banner, but unless someone gets mashed off track no penalties. It’s kind of hard not to have small bumps front or back the first half lap it’s always so tight after the standing start, I’ve been bumped from behind into the car in front a couple of times, but once it settles out it’s been mostly clean. SR99straight through the week for me. Track limits are very forgiving, no penalties for going wide in T1/T2 or that fast left kink at the end.

The old adage “it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow” is true for me, probably because I lack the skill to drive a fast car fast

At race B, all "S" rated SR drivers, there's no penalties for bumping accept if you push someone into the sand in front (or off the track at another circuit I guess). So coming into the chicane, you can get a 2 second penalty for messing the car in front. But if there's a gap behind the driver pushing the car in front off the track into deadly sand, it seems worth punting the driver in front because you can wipe the penalty off. And maybe cop some SR penalty? I've had that happen to me, and I've lost a heap fo DR, such as from 4th to 13th. One the last lap.

I reckon the game needs to tell both cars what happened, at the time, and also, after the race. That would allow a player to at least know what the game thought happened; where; and both players names. Then protests etc could go to a special place, and as protests increase, the player would at least know the type of things the game wasn't liking. And also, if one player continually hits people in front when there is no car within 0.4 second in front of the car in front or on the first lap - then the game could increase the penalties as they re-occurred. The punishments / penalties might be wrong, but the game is not communicating to the players IMO. I also think that if a player is hit by another player who has a "history", then perhaps an occasional holiday from the consequent DR loss would occur.

That time when I was coming 4th into the last lap, I was on an 800 DR points gain. Instead, I went to 13th, and I lost 1,000 DR points. The field was split with S, A+, A and 5 B drivers, so from 4th to last really hurt. 1,800 point differential from a bump into the sand 2nd last corner of the race - its just a game but it can feel unjust.

Also the driver apologised - so - if a driver apologises after a race, should the hit car still get a DR penalty? I wonder ...

As for NFL, I reckon they should have a maximum time after "down", of 15 seconds. OK no time for ads, but have a normal half time, and then have two breaks before half time and two after - for the marketing incomes. I'd like the game to be more "aerobic" instead of such short bursts of activity. But what would I know ... come on Goff, hope you make some long passes.

...I was on an 800 DR points gain. Instead, I went to 13th, and I lost 1,000 DR points. ...

How do you arrive to those 800 points, in the middle of the race? I only know the Kudosprime variation value from the whole day. Is there a way to know your DR points in a race by race basis?

Racing was pretty clean today

I got up to a clean streak of 17 despite stuff like this
9yagVMp.gif

Mistaken identity road rage. The car in front of me pushed him off.

Then in the 18th race my streak got broken by this...
LHPPRdd.gif

Car behind me following too close, taps me, SR Down for me.

So I remembered, if you disconnect before online save, the clean streak won't be reset. To check if that still works I immediately went to trim the video while the counter was still going, which suspends GTS, thus disconnects you (after the finish, before online save).

Of course then the next race this happens
wYvBkIf.gif

If one tap doesn't work, hit again! SR Down for me....

I did the same thing again sacrificing more DR. It turned out it still works. Next race, no annoying rear tappers and 'consecutive' clean race 18. I kept going until i reached my previous record (23) where I got screwed by the penalty system again. This time I didn't bother, increasing my record with a 'glitch' (even though the penalty system sucks) wouldn't feel right anyway. Plus you lose the chance to report the dirty drivers.

23?! Damn! I've never had more than 6, and that only happened because I was working the system.:lol::lol:

And I thought I was doing well at 3 in a row.

Had fun racing this week. Only raced B 1 time (today). Not a big fan of Nurb gp. Never did really get up to speed. I started 13/15 and finished 11th with a clean race bonus. I was 9 seconds clear of 12th, and within 2-5 seconds of 10,9,8th. Ran all 2:03's except lap 1. Also grabbed a top 5 in race C from the back again, so that makes 1 win, 3 podiums ( I think ) and a handful of top 5's there. Mostly I raced the GT 350. Wish I could have raced my Hertz rent-a-racer! Saw @Sven Jurgens a bunch of times, and actually raced with him a few. Saw @sturk0167 disappearing into the distance. Had mostly clean races and a couple of podiums. Ended up beating my Q time in almost every race today, and finally did some 29's, so I went in and ran some hot laps after my last race and did a 1:29.554. Ran 17 laps to get there, and except for 3 screw ups, and 3 slower 29's, all the other laps were under 1:30.5. I think I finally figured this combo out, and could probably get into the 28's, but it's so prone to slides that it's just as likely that I could run laps forever and never string all the key corners together in the same lap. Hopefully we'll get to use the car again, but as a garage car. I'd love to see that in a C race with choice of sport tires. Tire conservation would be key!

Did Race B, somehow get my sportsman rating knocked down from a penalty because someone hit me on the last lap while I was on the outside. Been a while since I've been left annoyed by the penalty system but tonight was the night.

What the heck, race C should be up now but it just says "no event available" lol

Edit: and 10 mins later it's now the same for race A

The races are resetting in 16 minutes. It's not enough for a race A or race C. Race B still has one event left before the reset.
