I hate to be the one to break it to you, but there's no such thing as snow! It's all part of a government mind control program backed by evil aliens (Japanese idol singers).

I've tried to snort it, yet it only gives me brain freeze. Snow and Ice are not very effective for mind control when the school busses can't run!

The 6:30 race went very well actually. I had dropped to SR 89 due to getting hit so many times in the 6pm race. Thus entered the low SR.S room. Still dirty yet easier to avoid, plus most people went for a pit stop. I finished 3rd with clean race bonus, easily back to 99 SR and gained DR as well. Makes you wonder why bother with the top SR.S rooms. It seems as soon as people reach max SR some don't care anymore and have to spend their points since getting a blue S at 99 SR is wasting SR points.

I have to say it really nice to see, for the most part, non of the big names in GT Sport have raped the track limits to get a top 10. Mostly filled with B/C/D drivers.

I did one race. I actually didnt even run wide on turn 1, to keep it fair. 2nd place was doing what they do last 2 corners and running 55s. I still won but it was really close and decided that was the last A race for me.

First race of the night in A was terrible. I felt like i was playing pinball. I haven't seen anyone really pulling the bs on the last 2 turns at least. Anyway. ....

Here we go first try of a c race. I expect bad things. Going with the Mazda. I will need to pit end of lap 4? Full power?

I finally did a race, @Sven Jurgens style. @NosOsH @Rexracer702 and @Dairyworker were all in the pre lobby but @Dairyworker didnt make it through the warmup unfortunately. Started DFL, 18/18 and made up to 7th by the end but had to kill off 8 seconds in penalties or I may have been able to catch 6th. Fun race and pretty clean, the penalties were from corners lol. :)

Oh, hello there. I didn't recognize you in those clothes lol

Saw you in the next race. I was doing fine for the first lap and a half then i had to put it in the dirt to avoid hitting someone who hit the brakes early. After that i felt like i was fighting a broken car. I kept putting it in the sand cuse it just would not turn.

If you’re in someone’s draft coming into the braking marker brake early because you don’t have as much air on your car for downforce to help you stop, or move to the side and get some fresh air to help you, trail braking is also key to these cars on this track. Hope to see you out there for the next one. :)

I finished 3rd from 17th in that race, my best one so far. The Toyota makes it the whole way with minimum fuel saving, short shift on straight straights and that’s it. Having fun so far. :D

Edit: The last race got a little rough, guy in front of me kept braking early on lap 1 and I rear ended him 3 or 4 times trying to avoid it, he was mad after but left before I could apologize. The rest of the race wasn’t much better, finished with a red S at the end and was caught behind the slowpoke for long enough that the leaders got away. Oh well, it was still a fun night and I gained over 2k DR. :)

I have been noticing an increase in the frequency of being kicked out pre-lobby. 3 to 4 times in a row with full bar connection and good network environment per connectivity tool. Anybody else noticed this?

Yes. Even after rebooting.

Game of 2 halves at Fuji for me last night.

Won my first race from 3rd on the grid, second race in with a bunch of much faster guys, but went from 7th to 3rd lapping consistently in the 1.43's which I was really pleased with given I spend most of my races watching other cars and missing apexes, 4 clean passes, probably my best race.

Then the second half, which, well, my SR went from A to C, which is probably all you need to know alongside the fact that I have no idea how the SR system works, I have seen some terrible driving go unpunished, yet I continually get hit and lose SR. So if I go back tonight I will be in with the savages.

I may go into race A without qualifying and trundle around at the back to get up to B again. I am DR C now though.

To everyone getting the race lobby disconnect glitch: Could it be dependent on the server? I'm on the EMEA server while most of you guys are on the NA server and I've only ever gotten it a handful of times. Last time it happened was on Monday. :odd:

Got the kids in bed last night, pouring a drink for my nightly session and ..... wife wants "to talk". Wants to renovate the house, I want to move, been at a stand off for a while. Lost the night.

Bugger.

Can't you do both and flip the house?
Just a reciprocal proposition ;)

Yeh. once you go off track, particularly dirt or sand, the game simulates dirty tyres, and the handling blows. In a race C it never realy recovers. For a Race A or B it usualy comes good after a lap...if you can keep it on the track that long

Thief!!!! You stole my racing number! :yuck:

Are you getting an error being shown, or just getting kicked after matching?

I have the feeling that it happens every time I watch a replay before entering a race.
Another time I was browsing "My Menu" during Qualifying, I got kicked, too.
As long as I do nothing else it is fine all day long.

Maybe some of you can confirm this!?

Ugh, though I would do some races while I was up early. First race I miss the start, almost timed out, got up to speed 40 sec behind the leader 4:14 first lap doh. Still made it 6th.

Second race, was in 3rd then I got taken out so hard by a Brazilian I lost 15 seconds on that lap. No penalty can ever compensate for that

Split the server again to get rid of these clowns!

One more attempt left.

Got 4th last one, did not get punted. I would have been 3rd yet a short cutting Brazilian caught up last lap. The minor penalties are a joke and too easily lost at the finish (or anywhere else). I got the clean race bonus for what's that worth lol.

Just a random thought:
The Audi R18 would be pretty much unbeatable in Race C, if only we were allowed to adjust the gearbox.
It has so much more grip and acceleration, but then it's just ridiculously limited by its 6th gear.
The inability to adjust gears just makes the whole BoP thing a joke in my view.
I mean: The very first thing everyone does when taking their car to any track is to adjust gears for the required top speed...

If BoP was re-adjusted as per the results of this Race C, the Audi would get even more Power because it sucked... How stupid can it get...
Maybe the same goes for other cars as the Toyotas which I have not tried...

We had this Sarthe race before with tuning allowed. The R18 '16 indeed became unbeatable and Sarthe turned into a one make.

Man I set a qualy time there then haven't even raced it this week. I'm imagining pure carnage!
I raced there last night. Qualified 4th with a 56 flat, staying inside the curbs except for T1, which everyone was going wide in from day one. The race was surprisingly clean. I actually bumped P3 going into T1 on lap 1 because he wasn't going wide on T1. I adjusted and kept my line more on track to not take advantage. Why can't PD just make it so you get a penalty if more than 2 tires go past the curbing or tracks edge.

I know this, yet when I raced last night it felt like my tires were shot, and I blew my brake points and couldn't figure out why. I'm just not used to the speed and aero and DF effects to this level. I'll remember and do better next time!
