Did another two Le Mans before calling it a day, first one started on a near full grid P17/19. Finished on P4, and encountered a bully that kept ramming from the side while I was on the hot seat, another guy fell foul of his antics and left the race. So I took the initiative to stay behind him and gave a good tuck from behind, ending his race into the wall. That poor loser probably learnt his lesson (and rage quitted anyway). Sweetest 3 second penalty I've ever had for doing that, saving the world from getting more bad race experience.

Second run started on P15, ended up on P2 after a decent run while at qualifying pace throughout. Sadly lost the fastest lap honors by 3 tenths on the last lap due to a mistake.

Thankfully I've saved the replay to appreciate and analyse my races. I think the Le Mans circuit is one of my strongest tracks, since I've always used it for my daily races. (lol)

Race B late last night, room is full of D/B and oddly one A/A who was a full second faster qualifying than me so I was 2nd. Everything was fine until about mid 1st lap when the Huracan behind me lunged into the corner and tried an awkward pass, he flew threw the corner and I went on my way, he then attempted it again on turn 1 of the second lap only this time I was ready for it and knew it was coming. I was anticipating this going on all race long except during the long straight going into 3rd lap he caught up to me and this time just blatantly pit maneuvered me off the track and into the wall. After that I just sat off the track and waited for the end... again.

The Huracan is so fast in a straight line that these idiots can do this BS in every corner after they run you down on the long straights and the BOP seems so hard on some cars.

The lack of class by 85-90% of this games audience makes it pretty hard to keep coming back, last night was the first time I raced in a couple weeks after another douche acted the same way. I called the guy out after the race and his reply was "can't help that I'm better than you", so this guy really thinks that ramming someone off the track makes him better. You can't train people like this to think otherwise, this is just what this kind of jackass is and will always be.

I'm the opposite, I haven't even raced in the FIA events because even though I know I could be good enough to be middle of the pack if not higher in the races, I won't go in there to add to the mayhem to ruin it for people that are in there actually trying to get points.

Why don't these guys go play GTA or something more attuned to their mentality?

Don't fight the lambo for the apex. Stay outside and brake as late a possible cutting to the inside for the late apex. They are using your brake lights as their brake indicator in an attempt to outbreak you on the inside. Knowing this, you can make them shoot out wide on the exit and overtake them on the inside when they go wide. Be the matador I know you can be.

I posted a video a few pages back where I was doing it to some other guys.

Trucks in Quebec go faster than that in deeper snow! It's a macho thing....

We've got ice road truckers here.

Something I noticed yesterday at Sarthe, was that once when I braked too late, and once when I got hit entering the first chicane, and ended up skidding across the middle of it because I couldn't make the turn, I got no penalty. I was expecting at least 2-3 seconds, or to be reset on the track. It's probably because I was on the brakes, going through there, instead of on the gas. Not sure. Aside from that, the limits/penalties seem reasonable.

If the game doesn't think you gained time (by braking and getting back on track) you don't get a penalty. Unfortunately it gets abused by people diving through the first part of the chicane to 'overtake' and block in the second part to avoid a penalty. Same at Dunlop, you can skip the entire second half coasting through while losing your current penalty and not get one for cutting. However if you go over the kerb one inch with all 4 wheels at full speed you will get a penalty. It's so stupid, coast cut the corner, lose multiple seconds of penalty with ease, take it correct yet nick the inside by an inch, 1.5 sec penalty. I always see cars ghosted in Dunlop.

Personally I wouldn’t go with any of the Group C cars. They are fast but handle poorly and tire wear is worse in them. This race is faster if you no-stop and manage fuel. Pit stop is over 25 seconds. And if you’re in a lower tiered lobby most people will be pitting so lots of easy gains.

Top picks for this race are typically the R18, Porsche, Peugeot 908, Hyundai vgt. I think the Toyota hybrid can hang too but doesn’t get picked much.

With AT and no stop I'm slower in all those. The TS050 makes it without any fuel saving in AT and is slightly faster than the R92CP with fuel saving. (FM2 on the straight, FM3 the rest)

R92CP seems the be the fastest for me from the back. I get slightly faster laps in the TS050 when the road is clear, however in the backfield I get passed on the straight and blocked through the Porsche curves where the TS050 shines. Overtaking wobbly back field cars with even the slightest lag is very risky. The R92CP can pass them on the straight and be far enough ahead to get through the Porsche curves.

The 908 seems to be the popular choice to win with no stop while short shifting. The TS050 does well if you start at the top and have lots of cars to draft on the straight. Yet the best race time so far 17:11 was set by the 908 leaving the TS050 in the dust. The closest I've seen is someone doing 17:22 in the R18 '16. Unfortunately both those cars suck in AT in FM3.

I was b sr once...chaos.

Really really weird with speed of the FF cars. Isedbthe Scirocco. It's BoP is barely touched. The stock hearing puts its top speed at 291km/h. The TT gearing tops out at 282km/h. Yet, the TT has a lower final drive. It seems faster than the Scirocco down the straight. However, the scirocco is more than a match for it in handling.

TT felt heavier. Scirocco is so light at 1050kg, I just leave it in third gear at all the hairpins, TCS 0 and use off-throttle turn in for sharper apexes.

With the TT, I don't get that same agility. As a side, the Megane does it all. Not as agile as the Scirocco, but it's way more stable. Megane starts off with more torque than any of the FF cars. 8hp less than Scirocco, but that acceleration is what makes it so fast.

I find the very same. Have tried multiple cars and am really disappointed to find my 3 fastest times are in those 3 FF cars. Of them all I prefer Scirocco because there’s at least some sense of handling but unfortunately I’m consistently quicker in Megane. Not that FF users are just kids with a love of barging. I’ve raced as clean as possible holding nice tight lines and braking sharp only to be punted by Huracans on every turn. The really daft thing is that the FF holds a better line on the fast sweeping right (T3) than the 4WD Lambo that slides off it.

I was doing that, which led him to run me off the track on the straight

Are you referring to the straight before or after the turn?

On the straight after the turn, you would be on the inside and they would have to cut at a hard angle to ram you which would put themselves in an easy position to get PIT'd.

Ah, now the other race has finally uploaded.

"If Woody would have just gone to the Police, this would never have happened."

All this player had to do was stay behind me and we would have stayed with the TT. I would have let the GT-R pass next lap on the straight. Then, it might have had a better chance to grab that spot.

Nice lap BTW. I have a Q of 3:30 set with the Toyota hybrid, but haven't driven the LM55 yet. Are you pitting?
No. In the race, I can't get anywhere near 3:23. This car is fastest in the race if you don't pit. To achieve that, you need to do 3 laps at FM3, and 2 laps at FM4. You could also do the first lap at FM2, then 1 lap at FM3, and 3 at FM4. Maybe, you could do the first lap at FM1 and the rest at FM4. I haven't tried that. Either way, it has to total 17. :boggled:

Hello guys!
So far I had quite good races in Fuji this week. I chose the two most exciting to upload it to youtube as my first video.
During the first one I was leading the whole race but was under big pressure.
In the second one, the guys with the Megan and the TT could attack me more efficiently, but they were keep fighting together also, so I managed to take back the lead just at the final corner.

Don't worry about it. We're not tied, anymore.

Too late!

Good show old chap, I do say, good show! What did you get it down too? The closest I’ve got to the 23.3 all week after setting it was 23.8 I think? I did it in the R18, are you using the Mazda? The 8 speeds mess me up lol, anything other than 6 speeds messes me up actually, I get lost in the gears haha.

Yeah, the Mazda, but with the auto trans, so I don't have to mess with it. :) Give it a try. 👍

Great minds think alike! I was just thinking about trying it in auto as I scrolled down to your post. Great suggestion Sir, I’ll report back with my findings. :)

You gonna be out there on C tonight?

Too tired to post last night. Race C with the R92. I managed to beat my previous qualifying time. That put me on the P5/16 on a mixed grid.

Race still starts awkwardly on a chicane exit, but less of a hassle than starting in P13! I spent 3 laps keeping my nose clean and short shifting. I'd dropped down the field a bit, then I got royaly rear ended by some digby who used me as his braking point... for which I was rewarded my first orange SR and a 5s penalty. It seems once I get one penalty, others follow. I saw 2 more orange SRs with out penalty for being rear ended. I don't recall any other contact, but still managed to finish with a red SR . I should be gaining, not loosing by the end, but so far every Race C this week has ended with me sliding further down :banghead::banghead:.

I had some close dices where I'd over take on the strait, then get passed on the curve. I was in P3 on the final lap when I got to the Porsche curves, when the car seemed to suddenly handle like treacle. I showed that I still had fuel (I had 1.1 laps left when I started the final lap), and I ended up going all over the place . Ended up in the sand on Corvette despite being careful and dropped to P6. I tried to scrub some of my penalty, which was up to 11s, dropped it down to 9 after the final chicane, but PD decided it had increased to 12. Dropped down to P8 after penalty. From P3 to P8 within a stones throw of the finish kinda bummed me. :grumpy:

SR dropped 5, DR went up about 300.

I had a crack at Race A from the back to try getting some SR back. All I managed was to loose points and finish with a white SR :banghead:.

Another day above DR 1 .

I gave the TS050 another try, -9 SR ugh. It's not a safe car to drive in the backfield. My one clear lap was faster than the R92CP though. I'll give it some more time to see if I can get it to stay away from divers. Or perhaps I should preventively start cutting the chicanes as well :/

@sturk0167 there all from the local brewery i work at. You can only get them in Ontario i think. Half of the ones in the pic you can only get here at the brewery. Tbh i will probably only have 3 or 4. And no i can't really race after that many. I could with a controller., but with the wheel i get sloppy and slow pretty easily.

Second attempt today with the TS050 went better, .... SR wise anyway. I still got rammed a plenty yet the rammers went home with a red B while I gained a measly 3 SR. It's Friday, nearing dirty hour, battle mode on! The experiment with weekly races has failed, at least if it was any attempt at making the races cleaner by giving people more time to learn the track. The time is only used to learn how to exploit the track!

Gaining 12 positions per race is too much fun to care much about the low standard of race craft. Plus it makes encounters with fair respectful drivers more rewarding. I hope to see some of you guys on the track tonight.

Agreed. I'm so much in favor of the daily races that are new each day, because there's no time to learn all the tricks. Everybody just hopped in a new car, on a new track, and went at it. I still have not come around to weekly races. Not a fan.
