Erm...Kudosprime has the next 2 weeks up:

This week;
A; N100 Koyoto
B; Gr3 Maggiore
C; Gr4 Nurb GP

Next week;
A; Gr4 Maggiore Centre
B; Gr4 Dragon Trail Seaside
C; Gr3 Suzuka

I wonder which N100 it with be at Kyoto? The old Porsche they just added maybe, Is that N100?

Edit: Yup, it is. This is my bet for the car on Kyoto.

I hope so. I'd be happy with that one. At 1.2m, it would be much more expensive than normal for race A.

The poor people won't be allowed to race.

I'm still waiting for them to use a 15m-20m car for a one-make race. :lol:

The car is always provided for Race A is it not? It will just cost money if you want to practice tonight. :lol:

I haven’t purchased any cars over 3m yet, the F50 at 2.9M was my biggest purchase I think, I did buy 3 Hybrids this week though. :)

I've already got one, but I was thinking about something that might rule that car out. This is just theory, so I may very well be wrong.
It's a 3 mile track, and the race is 3 laps. I think the A races are usually about 10 minutes long, which would rule out the most powerful of the N100 cars. It should be a car that averages 60 mph, or less. If this theory has any merit, it would mean the car will be something like the Honda Beat or Daihatsu Copen, or worse.

I think if it was one of the 100+ hp cars, 4 laps would fit within the time frame.

I hope I'm wrong. Someone please correct me.

... As I've said in the past, you just have to bleed into the throttle a little. Imagine taking 1 full second to go from no throttle to full throttle. If you practice that way, you'll quickly get the feel for how to drive without the TCS.

Also, try not to have any turn in the steering. If you are straight, the car should just launch.

Bleeding in the throttle is the proper way, but being straight is what stops spins. I really wish the TC dashboard light which is disabled with TC off and just dark grey, I wish it would flash yellow or something when your TC is zero and your rear tyres are slipping.

The other thing I have found about TC on zero, which is also lots of fun, is to correct the steering if your car is not straight. So if you're for instance at the beginning of your lap at Sarthe, you cross the start line and then turn right, then you have a chicane - a left and a right. So you turn left going into the chicane, cutting the corner there - then you have the right corner of the chicane. Coming out of there, its easy to spin with TC on zero. The car will spin because the tail of the car will spin out to the left, turning you into the right side fence. But if you correct the wheel when you apply more throttle coming out of that right hander, you apply the throttle and turn the wheel to the left. This corrects the tail stepping out. And each time one pulls it off, the "Cortex" part of your brain remembers the move, and now, I can fish tail the car and correct it. Good fun. OK that is not quick but heck I would have spun instantly two months ago. So I'd add to your fine comment about keeping the car straight, is if it's not straight then please correct the steering wheel at the same time one applies the throttle.

I have that GTSport Porsche Speedster - I did a race the other night for the first time in that other racing mode ... the thing hangs the tail out like you won't believe, throttle control and power on might be useful. I almost bought a Porsche 356 for my first car in the very early 1970s. But I got in about 6 months late. And if I had of been a year earlier, I could have got a Speedster. I had $1,500 for a car. The Speedsters had gone crazy - way up in price - most were bought by Americans from California, most left Melbourne, and I presume other Aussie States as well. The coupes were a bit tired but worse, their interiors smelt of wet felt under the carpets, which indicated to me the possibility of rust. But a B or even an early C type were around that price. I still regret not getting one - it would have saved me a fortune because I would not have gone through as many cars as I did. The interior quality of those 356s was just awesome and their interiors felt quite hand made.

Nurb GP GR4 for Daily C is interesting to me because the last few times that combo appeared as a Daily B the Lancer was Meta. With Tyre and fuel use I wonder what ends up taking that spot.

4C, Cayman, Toyota 86. Evo could still do well though. Anything light and nimble that is good on tire wear.

I know the Gr.4 Atenza does well there over one lap, but maybe not so good with tire wear.

Yep, I’m thinking that 4WD and FF have ruled Daily B but a rear drive may eventually have a chance now that it’s a Daily C. Cayman has a good chance alright.
 
Nurb GP Race C will have me locked in to the Cayman, since it's my Manufacturer Series car and an NGP Gr.4 race is part of the Manufacturers calendar for this season.

Great to see Maggiore Forwards in Gr.3 machines back. I remember me in pole in a Mustang getting defeated by an RC F a few months back! This race is the usual rule of using similar cars to my quali car (spoiler: R8s and RSRs galore in the Top 10 leaderboards!)

Suzuka Gr.3 for a week after would be like "R8 for hotlapping, RSR for the race" type of event...

And another one for a week after, DTS Forwards in Gr.4 machines! 4C VS 86 VS Cayman VS TT Cup VS SLS!

If it's not Nordschleife/N24, Bathurst, Big Willow, Brand's or Tokyo (South inner / East outer), nor GR.1 or GR.2, my interest goes.
Plus still no Sainte-Croix C or Bluemoon Infield A.

What's PD's obsession with Suzuka and Nurb GP :banghead:

I'm going to enjoy Sarthe some more tonight, then hope race A will have a fun car tomorrow as Magiorre and Nurb GP are at the very bottom of my list for fun racing. DT seaside will be better, just got to dodge the Bus stop no lift heroes :)

The WRX used to be my sleeper car for Suzuka, but it got nerfed in the latest update I think. I'm not the best with MR cars, so I usually try to find an FR car that can keep pace.

Hmmm, maybe I'll go with the Z4 this time.

I know I say this all the time, but I'll be feeling grateful if it's not front-wheel drive. I always have fun on that track. It's a nice design. For some reason, my stats are way better there, when it's reverse.

After the Manufacturers race at Willow Springs, the 86 should be real good. My Slophy was good as well, but the 86 was much faster.

I'll be using all the Gr.4 cars this week anyway. Will be fun and interesting.
 
If it is the Porsche for Race A the BoP gives it a 17hp boost to 124hp from 107hp. Im testing in both sequential and Normal H shifting trannys now, I just have a feeling it will be this car lol.

Well, even though it's a convertible, you're ok to flip it, because it's got the roll bar. 👍
 
Well, I raced the 908 a few more times. Thanks @Voodoovaj for the tip. Shifting at 1/4 to 1/3 of the bar and I I I was finishing with .2 laps of fuel left. Had a lot of trouble on the first lap of a couple. Best finish as 6th, but I put myself back to 13th spinning out of Dunlop on L1, so it was actually a pretty good race. 25 seconds back of the leader, but my first lap was a 4:09 so that's not bad. Should have been on the podium, though.
Funny thing with the 908. I ran some hot laps, short shifting. Had a ghost doing a 28 for time. I came out of the first chicane .1 behind my ghost and he was gaining about .001 per second on me as I acccelerated through third. Keep in mind the ghost is short shifting at about 1/4 of the shift bar. I reved 3rd, 4th, and 5th till the bar flashed, and didn't gain a bit. We bounced from a blue arrow, to neutral, to a red down a few times, but I got to the brake zone and was within a tenth of where I started. I was amazed.
I also raced with TC at 2 in one race, since I spun twice in previous races. I won't do that again. It really killed my drive on to the main straight, and coming out of the Porsche curves into thr Corvette curves. I guess I'm getting a bit of wheel spin there, but I dont really feel it. With TC, I'm just waiting for the power until the car is straight. It may have cost me 2 seconds a lap.

Oh I can see one getting flipped coming down the hill into the chicane before going back up the hill for sure, that’s a dicey spot haha.

I’m hoping we get a competition/sequential gearbox because it’s a significant difference in this car from what I can tell so far. Or for whatever car we get for this track. :)
 
Hope Race A isn't the 500 again. I skipped that race last time. Surprised we don't get to use most cars in that class. We got to drive Beetle, Fiat 500, S600, Mini '65 and Beetle. We also got to drive the Fiat 500... and Mini '65... and...

I think your right about the Porsche, my fastest laps were around 2:11/2:12 and that’s not really long enough for race A, even once you add other cars into the mix to slow it down some, that probably rules out the Mazda, S-FR, 09 500 and the Alpine too then. So which car will it be then? This is the list of all possible cars it can be, what’s everyone’s guess? I’m now thinking maybe one of the Hondas or the Mini.

One of the Hondas, the Daihatsu, or maybe the Abarth 1500. I hope they wouldn't do one of the Volkswagens, and not the Mini, again.
I'd bet on Honda 660.
I just got home from work. I'm gonna try that one.

Edit: I just did 2:21 in the Honda 660, and it's only 63 hp. It might be something with even less power, unless they're really gonna give us a 7 minute race. Not sure if they've done that before.

Going to start practicing for Maggiore GP tonight, I’ve been loving the AMG lately so I will stick with that for the week.

The SLS in group 4 is also very good, they are a little on the heavy side but both have great default setups.
