Welcome to the 32 Second Club!

Hold on to your hats. Next weeks races are up:

Race A: Lago Maggiore Centre - N100 Provided Car - 6 laps
Race B: Nürburgring Nordschleife - N300 One Make Car from Garage - 1 lap
Race C: Mount Panorama - Gr.3 - 9 laps

So no Japan based tracks but also nothing not seen recently!

Not Mount Panorama... I am terrible at that track.

If the R34 can participate in next week's B race, I'll definitely do at least one race with this livery from SRS: Street Racing Syndicate. Perfect opportunity to show off a ton of liveries and make everyone jealous as you spin out and get a 10 second penalty have everyone eat your dust.

But since it's apparently a One-Make race... KAZ, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?!?

I’ve been doing lobby races and snail practice all week, but I want to race for points, I miss it. Driving fully tuned cars is fun though.

I tried lobby races again last night. Same thing as usual, everybody devolves into jerks as each lap goes by with no correction by the "clean" room. At least I had some fun with it. This guy kept trying to punt me off of the track on Maggiore but I just kept counter steering and braking to turn him into a snow plow. We did this nonsense like three times until he finally racked up around 6 seconds in penalties and backed off. Whenever he would catch up I would just put my rear flank by his front tire trying to taunt him into punting me again.

That was on a single day race, I got a win on it in an F40 on the 26th of July last year.

That was a great race. I think I did it at least a dozen times. Only the F40 could win the race. I think there was also one at the Suzuka short course. I remember driving the Raptor there.

I have 2 accounts but it started with GT5 so I could potentially get more cars and trade between my accounts and I thought I would try the online racing leagues (never did...) and would have a gtp name to race on them with.
In fact, I had forgotten about it until about a year ago and started using it again. I had only used it for GT5, no other games.

Ironically, I have done better on my second account than on my main. I race enough to get the daily bonus on both accounts. I think I do better on the second account because I usually fire up the main one first so after a race or two, I have my groove going by the time I get on the second one and race better. They are both B/S levels.
I have more than double the wins on my second account than on my main one.

I have one account and typically I loose around 1000 or so DR at the beginning of the week. For instance, I lost 900 DR on my first race in race "A". I got hit up bad. I've now more than made up that overall over 1000 DR drop. But that drop happens almost every week. So if I used two accounts, I would certainly have more DR.

I guess if you cannot beat them then join them. I'll setup a second ID. so that I can race on my main account after practicing on my "doesn't matter" account.

There was also N400 at Tokyo East on one occasion for race C, with tuning. I remember the GT40 being the car to use.

As much as I like the events with slow classes, the Fiat on Autodrome got old the last 3 times it was used in recent months. No idea what PD are thinking there.

I'm looking forward to Nord in hope of improving myself on it. Last time I raced at the back with no QT which was a fun way to learn the ropes.

Bathurst is still a no-go for me. I'm so ridiculously bad that I feel like I picked up the game yesterday no matter how much time I dedicate towards practicing it. So mixed feelings for me next week.

Same here, I love Nord in lower powered cars. You really have to be aggressive and reckless with them to keep your speed up so you don't get bogged down by the weaker acceleration in those lower gears. The brake zones are also massively long for those cars which turns some sectors into daisy chained trail braking lines connected together with Scandinavian whips. Great fun.

You pick a car you buy from the brand central on your garage. Even if it’s a one make in the case of race b.
I wonder what the car for race b will be? NSX? Or R33 or R34?

A 4WD Skyline would be interesting on the Nurb.

This is a very, very tall order, but I'd like for there to be 6 daily weekly races with fixed categories.

One race would be one-make; this would include both the N class and Gr.X since they are both inherently and irreparably broken and would end up as one-makes by 9:05am Monday.
The others would be one for every race car category - Gr.4 to Gr.1 and Gr.B. The only thing subject to change would be the track (and laps, wear multipliers etc.). For tracks, they could even make it so that the community would vote for the next track during the week, with every category - track combo having a cooldown (1 month? 2 months?). Hell, if they fear that we may be too biased or the voting may be too complicated to implement or whatever, they might as well leave it up to an RNG, exclude dirt tracks except in the Gr.B slot and keep the cooldown, at least we wouldn't get as many repeats

So I had a race this morning, just the one. Saturday morning. i am rated A (not by much either), and I am the only "A" there. I have the pole this time (32.803) and I can churn out sub 33s all the time. The "B" driver has a 33.813. So I clear out to a 1 second lead, but touch the wall out of the straight on lap 7 (I think on BB laps 6 and 7 at that first corner the track gets much more slippery for those two laps) and I score a 4 second penalty for barely touching the wall.

So the "B' behind me passes me as I get rid of the penalty over a few laps - and he's a wall hitter. He goes fast down the main straight, and then he in his BMW sports car places it just less than a cars width from the right side of the main straight's track, by the braking zone. Just before you need to turn left into the first critical left corner. And instead of turning left - he turns right - and puts the front right quarter of his car sharply into the wall, and then turns left and disappears from the corner. With lots of clearance to the right deadly penalty wall. I thought I'd pass him - but he leaves me for dead. Next lap, he does the same thing, and drops in a 32.75 lap - while leading. He doesn't even corner close to the 3rd corner - the fast right hander. He's grabbing at least half a second by crashing his car. A typical B driver? NOT ... so I come second, and don't get any DR. Actually, I got 50 ... but heck. If he was labelled A+ I wouldn't mind.

I guess too I do need to be a wall scraper as well. its what this game must be about. Its hardly a driving sim though - which quite annoys me. PD needs to have wall damage to the vehicle - especially when its a left corner and you turn right into the wall - like in the real world guys ...

Race B is the place to be next week. I used to dislike the track, because it was hard to learn. I got more used to it, when we raced there in the Porsche, a few weeks ago, because Bathurst in the dark was killing me, and I don't remember what race A was, but I'm sure it was something that sucked. Now, I'm looking forward to it, as long as it's not a front-wheel drive car. That would just ruin it.

Also, I'm waiting, quite impatiently, to hear the UPS man's footsteps stomping up my stairs with the new Playseat, so I can get used to the wheel and pedals before Nordschleife hits.

@Sven Jurgens should be 40,000+ DR by the end of next week.

If it didn't say ONE MAKE after N300, then we'd be able to race any car that fits the N300 criteria. It would be nice to have races like that more often. It seems like that only happens about once every 8 or 9 months.

Ah i unerstand now,i dont know how i didnt see the ONE MAKE after the class. Pity,i was looking forward to a mixed grid.

The guy who does the combos had the brains of a microscopic speck living at the bottom of the ocean billions of years ago compared to @Tidgney's combo ideas!

PD wants to REALLY mentally break Holl, High Road, and Akagi it seems with next week's combos. My Triple One Make proposal is a kjghpillion times better than those, OK?

Oh and sorry for that slight Bill Wurtz infested rant, and there will be no Japanese tracks next week.

FUGU Z for the N300 car next week maybe? I think it was a relatively recent addition and every once in a while PD seems to like to highlight recent adds.

Maybe some miata’s on race A? Who doesn’t love spec Miata racing...

Glad to know I’m not the only one who cannot figure out Bathurst, no matter how hard I try... going back about three generations of GT, not just GTS, I just can’t figure that stupid mountain out

I'll certainly try! I'm starting from scratch, sacrificed my DR to do some tests, soft landing to 1/99 to confirm that the DR pool is slowly inflating. DR 1 players can't lose DR yet still give DR to those they lose from. Of course DR resets cause deflation (and points bleeding out the top when a 75k player wins, yet those are in the far minority compared to low DR players)

Hopefully the car will be fun to drive! To qualify or not to qualify.

Kudosprime's player data has been buggy for the last week. Sometimes it logs you on, sometimes it does not. I suspect its PD's fault !!

They advertised about the R33 that it ran under 8 mins, and the R34 has Nür in the name too!
