A lot of fast guys seem to be leaving. Pole position in my last race (B) was 2:09.4. :lol:

Nice, top two in in this next race are D/E driver with 2:08’s lol.

I was a tenth away from 3rd in that one, I passed 3rd when he messed up the final corner on lap 7 but he caught my draft and got by just as we crossed the line. Good race though other than one Bugatti being a bit of a jerk to a couple other guys, I slipped by him when he messed up T1 on lap 6 though. :)

Chat shows the name i picked that they let me use. Lobby shows me in 16th, and you're in 12th I think. Race starts and I'm all alone on pole. Happened twice. Is there any way to delete a user account on PSN?
 
I'm signing up for the next race. I'm starting the evening at SR 81 though. Let's see if that's still the sweet spot for easy races. I had A+/A drivers on pole in SR.A doing 2:08 laps. Correction, driver, not drivers. Clean getaway. I also had a race where I missed the start. I was 30 sec behind when I got up to speed, finished 9th and gained on first during the race. It took a while to catch the draft of someone as the first 4 cars in front of me quit during the race. Scared of me coming in range :lol:

Really? I didn't see you. I'm sorry. I don't know anything about deleting accounts.

I don’t think your fully logging out of PSN before racing, sounds like you’re just switching users, make sure to fully log out and then log back in to the account you want to use.

Another race A after knockin a few tenths off my QT I started 4th, little rubs till it settled out. Stayed 4th 5th 4th got my groove and reeled em in, ran out of laps again but did get my 4th Fastest Lap star so that was cool. Funny thing though watchin the top 3, they were kinda dirty at the start so waited for the dirty finish and sure enough bump bump crash Pretty sure the guy in 3rd got the win after a 3 second penalty on one of them. Got me 2nd. Cool.

I saved it to my gallery, psn name is the same if anyone feels bored enough.
 
Race B has been good ever since Tuesday. I collected a win and some podiums just now and climbed back to s sr just by being ready to play rough.
Funny how when you are ready for it it never materializes and then when you’re not it pisses you off.
I knocked my qual time down a bit before racing tonight, I started out with the r8, but I can’t drive that thing.
Understeer Yank tank for me all the way!
For me the thing is no ones running top ten qual times in race, you gotta think. What car can I use that gives good consistent times. For me in gr3 it’s always fr.
Man, when I first got this game I tried Interlagos and it seemed impossible to stay on track, I felt like I couldn’t see the corners or do anything on turn 1. Now after over 500 hours I love that track.
I may partake in several livations. No one spilled my macchiato since Monday so all is well.

I think I mentioned here before but I like -3. That said, I recommend to adjust BB on the fly when you approach corners and see how you feel braking is. I usually do this with most cars until I find my sweet spot.

I did end up with a penalty in that race from someone turning into me. Just 2 sec, didn't need to slow down at the finish as I had enough of a gap on third. First was 6 sec ahead, too fast.

I got another second place finish penalty free and fastest lap from 14th, also with lucky door number 7. Rooms are getting smaller in the higher SR ranges lol. I've helped a couple people down to SR.B. One last second swerve blocker on the straight caught me on his rear bumper, so I simply tapped the wall, 3 sec penalty for a dirty block is perfect! He didn't like it ofcourse. So after I passed him through T2 he came back at me at the hairpin since I had to slow down for another car. I saw it coming but couldn't avoid his punt. I did manage to avoid the wall and get the car under control, pointed the right way, no matter, the game resets you back to before the turn anyway with the punter right on top of you :banghead:

He ghosted through me to end up in front of me after the hairpin where he started a little dance, ghost serve, unghost, blocking me again. So I added another penalty on his total. That made him even more mad so he began twitching more out of control. Timing his ghost/unghosting correctly made it possible for me to drive through him. He still tried to swipe me but hit the wall giving me just enough room ahead to avoid his punt in T1. That slowed him down enough, and added more time to his penalty, that I could continue the race :)

I wonder how many people actually use the radar. Every race people blindly bump me into the wall and receive a penalty. Why drive with other cars on the road if you don't keep track of them.... There is time trial for that.

Overall the racing was much cleaner today. SR up to 84, DR up to 25K (after the reset to 15K earlier in the week) There was even a room with the top 6 all red dot free! I finished 4th in that one, fast clean (at the top) room.

Originally I wanted to see VLN for this seasons first endurance race on the Nürburgring but unfortunately it‘s too foggy on some parts of the track:

Well the races this morning did not go better. A German guy did a nice "trick" on me. I had the inside line 1st left turn, he was on the outside. He went left to hit me before the second turn, and then simply went for a nice corner cut. I got 3s penalty even thought I had left way enough space...

SR going down fast...

I ran race C late from my second account, since my third, no Q account is corrupted and everyone in the room disappears when the race starts, so I race alone. Would be great for wins! Anyway, I started mid pack with a 1:08.5 Q time. I knew it was gonna be bad when the P2 qualifier was taking people out in the warmup. By the time I got thru T1 &2 I had 10 seconds penalty. I put about 6 or 8 3 second penalties on bumpers by brushing the walls. Weavers on the straights who would put me in the wall when I got along side, punters from .75 seconds back. It was stupid. I ended up 10th after burning 19 seconds at the line, lots of red letters, including mine. I can't remember where my SR was when I started. I was B, maybe high 50's or low 60's, finished D with a whopping 14 points. Ouch! Hopefully tonight will be better. Gotta try again to get a no Q account, that actually works this time.
Also gotta better my Q on my main account. @Pigems ...I'm comming for you !:mischievous:
 
Had the pleasure of bumping in to Banckzy earlier using my second account which I have been using for the last couple of days, mainly to conserve SR as this weeks tracks are not too good for clean races. He won easily I came in 2nd around 6 seconds behind, anyway I think I have made reasonable progress for the short period I have used the account.... https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=8875941
Considering you get no DR for the first 5 races am fairly happy, the only slight problem is my DR has gone up to the point now where the chances of winning a race are very slim, I suppose everyone can't be a winner.

First A race was good enough. Started pole and was fighting to keep it after t1 a dirty guy pushed his way through and i fell back to 4. He was hitting everyone, well trying to, after he missed two attempts at ruining others races he left on lap 3 lol. I fought hard and clean and made it back to second by the end. Had fastest lap and was right on the leaders bumper for lap 6, but he put down a killer last last lap and got fastest lap from me and gave me no chance to try and pass. A good start to the day though...

Second race was good again. Started in 2 behind a guy i have had clean races with and in front of the same guy from the previous race. Not sure what happend but it was just me and the guy from that race after t1. We had good clean racing pulling away from the field till he messed up the last tight hairpin on lap 4. I was alone out front to the win after that. He was gaining a couple hundreths per lap though. Guy is fast and consistent...

Missed the next one cuse the wife and dog are up now. Hope it's not a destruction derby by the time i get back. Although if it is there is easy money in gta this week so i can go take out my frustration there lol

<sigh> knew it was too good to last. Race B with the love bug. Try as I might I couldn't get closer than a second slower than my R8 time. My R8 time had me starting P7/16 on a mixed DR/C and D grid. My best beetle time would have had me starting P13 :crazy:.

Race starts and I was pretty stoked with myself making a nice clean pass at T1. The joy was short lived. I had to slow for traffic in front of me at T8 when someone hit me so hard my teeth were chattering! I spun a few rotations and was re-spawned at P15. From there I was struggling to get past the cars in front who were weaving all over the place. Eventually I managed to get past a couple but it was very messy and involved orange SRs and penalties :scared:. I finished P11 and was not a happy camper. I get the impression the two weaving porsches I passed towards the end weren't happy either :rolleyes:.

SR dropped 11, DR dropped 400. Day 3 under attack in DR/C :odd:.
 
Totally digging Interlagos in the Mazda, always been my go to car in the game. I noticed last night that you can get the car absolutely flat out around Mergulho if you plant the front left wheel slightly on the kirb. Amazing car, with over 4k miles I may have to retire her soon though :(
 
Check this one out. It's a pretty good one. This was my first Tokyo race, yesterday. My DR was pretty low from racing there, all day on Thursday, so the plan was to just cruise around and only pass the people who wreck, so I can get a blue rating. Entering turn 1, on lap three, I back off and let everyone enter the turn before me. When I saw a bunch of them crash and ghost, I figured I might as well gun it, and get ahead of those clowns. They recovered more quickly than I expected, and I ended up in the middle of a hornets nest (As you'll see, the TT was the main troublemaker). I ended up backing off to let the pack go, and scrub my penalties. I don't know why the penalties don't show in the replay.

Here are two different perspectives of what unfolded. The second view looks pretty crazy. Those of you who haven't done the Tokyo race this week, but are planning to give it a go, don't watch this. :lol: I'm sure this type of footage will look familiar to Sven and Pigems.

I smell something like Group 3 on Autopolis (just guessing but I doubt there won‘t be a week without any Japanese track)

That's a shame. I ran the R8 last night and loved it. As for the understeering yank tank, I can only assume you mean the Mustang. I ran the Viper and Corvette and found them both turnable 👍.

I find the r8 a handful. It rotates too easily for me, plus it’s just hard to consistently balance for me. I’m a Chevy guy. I was goofing around with the gtr also and that’s a very strong car, very fast, but tougher to balance through the twisty bits.
The Mustang is very planted in slow speed corners, and very good through the final turn. I haven’t driven the Dodge much. For me, mr in this game is like hanging a sign out the car saying tap me, upset me, own me.
I find Mustang users formidable opponents at Lagos. I haven’t gone head to head with the Viper this week.
For me, the r8 FEELS like it’s SO FAST, but I am running 2 seconds off what I can do in the Chevy.
Skilled 911 users are formidable, but the majority crumble when they don’t have the draft and line figured out by whoever is ahead.
They get very pissed because if behind in the twisties they can’t take advantage of the handling, and they don’t have the grunt on the straights. The good ones can outbrake me though. That’s my favorite battle in this game Chevy vs Porsche gr3.
For me, it takes so much time to learn one of these cars, I stick to what I know works. Huge respect to users who can switch to other cars, enter up and be competitive.
 
First race back on was amazing. Had the pole but was pushed for the pass on t1 and ended up in third. Had my most intense and clean race of the week getting back to second and then fighting for the lead. The whole race was clean even the jerk who was clearly intentional in his t1 lap 1 move was clean to race with after i cought him... once again curs3d myself for forgetting to save the replay....

Insert marijuana affects the memory meme from half baked.....
 
@Dairyworker Nice one. I'm going to resist the urge to start racing just yet. It's full sun over here. Instead of letting it annoy me when I try to look at the tv I'll go to the trail for a couple hours.

The top was clean all last night. The backfield though lol. However once I got into the top 10, usually in lap 2, the rest was mostly good clean fun. Just the odd swerve blocker that needed some education. Top 5, all very respectful fair drivers. It's polar opposites between front and back.
 
It's actually beautiful here aswell but nothing but a muddy disgusting mess everywhere around here still. I do kinda feel bad being inside tbh, i make up for it during summer usually lol

Next race was another good one. Surprisingly at this time of day on the weekend. Started second and followed the pole sitter for seven laps lol he got to just over a sec ahead by the finnish but i was near 6 sec ahead of third at one point....

Wow getting fast out here... starting 4th now...

Went well enough, ended up alone in third while two aliens fought hard and clean for the win. Something happend on the third lap cuse everyone fell back pretty far suddenly behind me...
