Now, I will rest...

within 5 laps today I just knocked my Race B time down to 1:59.576 from 2:00.6xx with the viper

Hey, @Sven Jurgens how do I find the gameplay recording. I know how to save replays, but doesn't the system record the last 20 minutes, or so of whatever you do?

if you click the share button a window pops up where you can save video clip and the default is last 15 minutes. you can also double click the share button to start recording as well. then click share button to end the recording and save the clip from the menu that pops up (press square). you can trim them in the capture gallery if needed and upload them from there.

forgot to add you can upload them straight from the pop up menu if you dont need to trim them.

Go to settings, sharing and broadcasts to set it up the way you like.
There you can choose whether you want a single click for easy screenshots (and long press to save video and get the share menu) or the other way around. In link with other services you can add you tube to directly upload clips from the ps4 with or without trimming. Note that when you choose to trim a clip, GTS is temporarily suspended which will disconnect you. (and exit you from any race, don't do it before online saved flashed after all results are in or you will be counted as finishing last)

No racing yesterday as i had a buddy over. Had three good, nice races in the Ferrari this morning. I figuered i would throw down a few laps at maggiore after that, i hit a best 2.01.323 in ten laps with an opt of a low 2.00. I feel like i am so slow in the race cars.

Happy fried day, hope to see some on track tonight.

last part is why i save mine and upload from the gallery. mine is set to last 3 minutes most of the time because of other games where i dont need the whole game saved and dont want to trim 10+ minutes off of each clip lol.

I finally found your Brazilian buddy, from yesterday. I was starting at the back on my alt account, and he was on the pole. I tried like hell to catch up to him, but by the time I made it past all the riff raff, on lap 3, he was 5 seconds ahead. I gain a few seconds on him by the end, but needed another lap to get there. He's currently at B/A.

Oh, and he's one of those clowns that likes to use his parking brake to spin across the finish line, which makes me want to hit him, even more.

I watched the replay of the top time, and from what I was seeing, I was actually keeping up with him in most of the 1st sector, but he gained a lot of time on me in the Degners. He took Degner 1 flat out and braked on the curb and very late for Degner 2. The only way I can take Degner 1 flat out is to put 2 wheels on the inside grass, and I have to brake way earlier than he did for Degner 2, and I can't even think about braking with wheels on the curb, otherwise I'll go straight on at Degner 2. He also obviously was faster elsewhere to end up over 2 seconds quicker than me, but to me that was the most glaring difference.

Being 2-2.5s off the pace wouldn't bother me so much if the game still matched me with people setting comparable times, but for the last several months I've been constantly placed with people in or near the top 10 times and I barely even have a chance of getting a podium anymore, especially since they LOVE repeating only the tracks I'm terrible at...

What's been working for me is this. Take Degner 1 flat out, you can throw 2 wheels into the grass on the inside curb, set the car straight as soon as you can, break before hitting the curb, go over it and let the car coast just enough so you can point the car to the curb on the right, accelerate, be careful when exiting Degner 2, the left curb can make your left rear spin if you don't carry enough momentum. Don't know if it makes sense.

Edit: Is not really fast or ideal, but it's been giving a decent exit from Degner both in QT and race.

I wandered back into DR.A and immediately got punished with a 5 sec penalty. Yeah it was kind of my fault. I brake early for Degner, I started braking even earlier because I was behind another car, but this one apparently wanted to take a picture or something. He barely touched the outside after the bump yet race ruined. Dropping back behind everyone I got run off twice after overtaking again. The culprit got put behind me again at the penalty zone so he could bump me off again

Ok, next race, give everyone a 5 sec head start  should be safe for lap 1.

It'd be funny if there was a penalty for finish line spins. Car crosses the finish line thinks they've won then as other cars pass the finish line they fall down the order.
Yeah, I like that. Like if you're ghosted, it doesn't count when you cross the line. As of now, the only penalty is getting hit by me in the next race, because it's showing up your opponents, like the way a guy flips his bat after hitting a home run.

I was right behind you. The one that pushed you wide at turn one got three seconds. Then managed to push another one at degner and got another 2 seconds on top of that. I did 5 races C this morning I think and there is just no way to avoid being pushed, punted or blocked. Today is not a good day......:(

Nope, Friday is supposed to be the best day to race, so far nothing of that.

I started 5 seconds after everyone in the next race, of course already passed some crashes before the hairpin and got bumped off in the hairpin

Then this happens, 4 sec penalty for me

I guess I need to crawl through Degner.

I'm racing 9 laps now, then sit out the rest in the pits to descend back to DR.B

I was pretty sure there had been at least one Gr4 race there, but looking back through my screenshots, I could only see qualifying times from that first Gr3, so either I didn't race at all (unlikely) or that was the only time. Shame. It's an interesting track. :odd:

I'm pretty sure that was the only one. Maybe an FIA race (like this week).

No matter, the fact that we can't even remember the last time it was featured says all that needs to be said. It's no Fuji or Suzuka, or even Interlagos for that matter.

As seen today, the penalty zones have failed. Driving is worse than ever today. So much bumping in my last race the SR Down arrow might as well have been a permanent fixture for the first 2 laps. I dropped to SR.A, -21 SR for that race to 78. I also ended up with 2 penalties putting me back behind the dangerous drivers. First one in the chicane, car next to me spins out, bumps me off, yet I get 2 sec penalty and placed behind the dangerous drivers again. The other, someone slamming on the brakes for T1. I do my best to avoid yet still tiny contact and although he braked hard for T1, he then steps on the gas too early and drives off :banghead: And set back into the danger zone again.

Time to get my kids, Perhaps it will be better later. Can't give up on Friday's clean racing reputation yet... Jeez what's it going to be like tomorrow.

I'm sure someone could answer that one ..... I haven't figured out yet how to send a message to someone (....@xxxx) in the pre/post race chat. It could become useful somewhere down the line :D

Scroll down to the bottom of the pre set messages in the pre/post race menu and you will see every players name, you can click on the one you want and then either add a pre set message to it or type your own. :)

Nice to see you on track @ASH32 ... well at the starting screen anyway.. you were too fast

Igor Fraga coming up to 2nd from 20th lol I saved the replay just to watch his overtakes

Yes I struggled early in this race and then he past me when I served a penalty (got two in that race for cuts that it normally ignores and still got a clean race), I tried to keep up but couldn't, not surprising when he did a race lap as fast as my Q time. He was also lagging all over the place, was on the grass and gravel often on my screen.

Raced him again next race, he'd set a Q time between races and it was still faster than mine. I tried my best to keep up and didn't make any major mistakes this time, still got beat by about 9.5 seconds in the end although I did get the fastest lap, he probably never used the boost or something or used a little every lap, I wasn't matching a 20.05 race time though that's for sure.
