So its taken me a while to figure out how to drive at Catalunya. Was just starting to enjoy racing there and had what I thought was a good one, but then get called out as trash by a racer I see often enough. So any ways I made my first video as I was investigating myself. What do you guys think? Im feeling like he's used to winning and saw red mist after he made some mistakes under pressure.

Thas was monday after a bunch of practice and probably 7 or 8 races. Been on a steady Dr decline and almost reached Dr B, stabilising around 37k now. But I just do not like the porsche that much, love the car hate the gearing. I did discover the Atenza tho!! Never tried the gr3 version and am loving it! :dunce:

I hit DR 1 and I'm still not starting last, 2 behind me :banghead: One almost hit me as well.

This is so nerve wrecking. You would think that competing against cars 6 seconds slower than you would be easy, far from it. Risk free passes simply do not exist when the car in front can't hold a line. I finished 12th, 1 position up, or rather 1 down, 2 up. I had to get out of the way of the car coming from behind while the one in front was doing the zig zag through a corner. It's like I'm on Canada's worst driver

Prime time is already nearing the end. Last one was B/S to D/S with 1:47 on pole. Hopefully the back will speed up a bit as well.
Yes, I also noticed that more and more drivers are driving completely chaotic and unpredictable lines. I suspect that many new players have started since GT Sport became cheaper. The game is now bought and ridden by many players who have few experience with racing in general. For full price they would never have bought. But now for the low price or in an offer it is then bought and tried. In general, there is nothing bad about it, but now we are dealing with many players with lousy racecraft. I have been arguing for a long time that you first have to successfully pass various driver tests and a virtual racing school so that you can drive online. For experienced players, they can indeed install a kind of abbreviation in which you have to pass only a few but demanding test. This would certainly increase the overall level of the races. OK against intentionally dirty drivers this helps nothing but at least the ignorant drivers with bad racecraft would be much better prepared for the real races.

Well if he is the guy you pushed when passing I could understand. He was in front of you and you couldn't not pass him without contact but you still went for it. It's not clean, but not really ugly either.

It's funny, I couldn't understand how I'm stuck at 1.478, so yesterday I checked the top replay in Europe (and now seeing your replay confirms this) : the penalties for track limit don't work the same with every one/every car. If I was driving like the top 1 in Europe I would get 2-3s penalty. I wonder if it is car dependent. I don't like the Porsche on Catalunya (and I didn't try the Audi), but I could eat the curves like crazy with it. With the m3 or the AMG, I was getting penalized if two wheels get on a curb almost every time.

.

I dont know I feel like he has a tendency to want to reach back towards the apex to try and shut the door even after missing it instead of just staying on his line and racing. I feel like I left him plenty of space and I dont feel like I pushed him at all I think he drove into the side of my car in all honesty.

Either way we bumped into each other, it didnt ruin or even really even affect either one of us. This guy is one of the faster people in the rooms Im in, should I have really just given him the corner and not tried to capitalise on his error in case we bumped?

Race A BB? Anyone? I use BB 0, but saw Super gt stream, and he used BB 5 rear. I did try the BB 3 rear, but for me it seemed to increase underteer??

i used +4 for my qualifying laps and it was fine. i drove it almost the same as i did the gr3 viper at maggiore the week before and i barely noticed the understeer. idk if people use too much throttle on the TT or what.

I used BB at 0 on the TT. :)
Interesting tho how people play with different BB. With 0 BB I had the feeling I needed to slow down to mutch before the corner and losing allot momentum. Nice to see ofcourse instead of everybody using the same settings and that will be "the best". What is your qualy time if I may ask?

You’re right for sure, there are many many ways to skin a cat. I also tried it on -2 and +3, but ended up settling on 0. My time so far is 28.0. :)

I started by using bb all the way to the rear but it did seem to just increase the understeer. My best qualy time was set using bb all the way to the front. Allows a better turn in to the corners. My qualy time is 1:29:07.

I'll try to remain somewhat positive here.

Tsukuba isn't a bad circuit although given it was used two weeks ago in the Mazda, the staleness is becoming very apparent. There's a thin thread of hope it could be a car which wasn't previously used to at least bring about some freshness. I've had fun times here.

I like Tokyo in the slow classes but the GR4 combination is a science experiment gone horribly wrong. This is the definition of an SR killer and difficult to remain positive about. However we now have penalty zones so maybe it won't be as awful like last time. Although ghosting will be an issue at least we won't have clowns running around with 20 second penalties.

My only saving grace for Suzuka is GR2. I like to drive them yet it's Suzuka over and over and over and over again...
