Just had a guy sideswipe me and punt the hell out of the guy in front of me right at the hairpin after the penalty zone. I booted him hard next corner. I actually smiled when my red 5 seconds came up. Served it and still never saw him again.
Probably rage-quit!

At the other end of the scale, I had someone go off the track to avoid punting me this morning! I let him past a bit later as a "thank you"! Nice race, started 10th, dropped to 14th, finished 10th and got a whopping 6 (yes, six) DR points 👍 Probably won't race again today so it stays on my record

Did another, started 10th, finished 11th, lost my huge points haul......

Did another, started 9th, finished 7th and got a whopping 450 points. Wow! Have taken a screenshot as proof I can get points.... sometimes!

holly molly PD.... just fire all this guys that setup the weekly races, they are lazy.

Since GT League is a complete bloody mess after 1.31 update, i decided to go for Sport Mode dailies (i pretty much don't race on Sport Mode, usually prefer to race in Lobbies when online, more variety). Audi TT Cup race at Lago Maggiore

Did two races, got pole on both (actually surprised how i managed it, my time wasn't even that impressive)

First race: botched the launch, long battle between me and an italian guy, who went from 2nd to 1st on the start. I overtook him at the end, but he rammed me off the track at the second to last corner, so ended up 2nd. At least the guy apologized, the rest of the race was otherwise clean, we kept the distances etc. so i wasn't mad. Enjoyed it a lot, in fact

Second race: botched the launch, again (i have a hard time launching effectively in this thing lol). Literally from the first corner it was complete puntfest: rams, weird trajectories etc. Got punted by french guy into oblivion, fell from 1st to 9th in literally 1/4 of the lap. Then, when i returned, some guy constantly bumped me on the left side (like, bump, swerve left, then bump again, then swerve etc.), the guy ended up in the ditch and i got 2 second penalty (really? Come on man!). Then catched up quickly to the french guy who rammed me off, who was driving like a complete spanner and accumulated 10 second penalty (before even reaching the Penalty Serve Area on 1st lap! Yep, he was that much of a spanner)
I ended up 3rd with Fastest Lap, but honestly, this race could've went much better if not for the punfest on first couple of corners

I kinda see now why some people get very upset with Sport Mode races

But you know PD screwed up badly when people on Daily Races are more respectful than the GT League AI (which wasn't brilliant before the update, but they were more predictable at least)

Managed to run some consistent 2.07's in DRC quali today and even marginally improved my time by a few hundredths. Started second to an S/S driver and had a thoroughly uneventful race which is what I wanted. Back up to SRS but didnt get a clean race bonus? Hmm.

Gonna milk this event for all its worth today because I'm dialed in on it.

EDIT: Five. Straight. 2nd places. Ughhhhjh!

The worst was when I started on pole, got passed and then had a Canuck murder me cause he forgot his braking point midway through the race and thus had no chance to overcome the 4sec deficit to challenge the leader who I had beaten the race before and knew I could again. It really smarts 'cause that was my best chance to win. The other races always had one Alien out front taking off.

Good news is that my SR is back to maximum.

Cool, it was nice racing with you tonight Sir, enjoy the trip! :)

I suggest watching a few episodes of Cosmos, a Spacetime Oddysey. Particularly the episode where they zoom out to the edge of the universe, it makes you feel minuscule when you’re stone cold sober.

That's what I have Elite Dangerous for! It 'only' contains the entire milky way galaxy, yet from the edge you can zoom in and peer over to Andromeda. The amount of stars is literally dizzying, you don't realize how big a number 400 billion is until you start browsing through the map and try to fly to the other side (which takes weeks and thousands of jumps) Plus the sound design in that game is amazing.
I started watching the OA part 2, which is a nice mind bender as well.

Why are such low rated? Your wins don't really mean much faffing about at such low DR.

From driving contact free without qualifying. I don't care that much about winning anymore, I like to start from the back to practice overtaking safely. In a race C there is plenty of time to catch up with the fast guys. Race B is too short to get to the front and on average lowers my DR to mid or low DR.B. Driving without qualifying while getting out of the way of everyone (to avoid that SR down from someone bumping into you) had my average finish position at 11, thus net DR loss.

This is my DR from the past 3 week. (until last Thursday, stopped updating for some reason)

Before the peak I was driving without qualifying on the N24 race C. Then I qualified for the last 5 races which briefly put me into A+.
Next day, Suzuka was chaos with the SF19 and I quickly figured out that DR.A always got the short end of the stick when DR.B makes contact. Hence I kept my DR in DR.B to be on even ground in the back field.
This week I went for a clean streak record, which meant getting out of the way of any car that comes close. Although I still had some good results with a 5th place in there, my average was 11th due to conceding positions as soon as a car came back in range.

I qualified on Friday, did another 17 clean races Friday and Saturday until it was ended by a simple bump from behind. Currently my DR is 25K, going up again. It's never been steady as I don't really care what DR does. It has very little effect on matchmaking. Only during prime time did I actually get some rooms where there were no A/S while I was at DR.D. Since I got back to DR.B it has been A+/S on pole again. DR means so little for sport races.

This is my entire history

All the peaks past day 300 are from N24 and Nordschleife where I hve over 1,100 races combined.
The 2 weeks spend at low SR are from Blue moon bay (which together with Monza are responsible for most of the low SR occurances) where draft bumping (or rather getting draft bumped) will quickly dump you down the SR ladder. The other was from Tokyo, same thing there, get bumped from behind SR down or even a penalty when the car behind taps the wall after.

Racing without qualifying, it just depends on how long the race is where my DR settles for the week. Winning contact free without qualifying, that's the holy grail for me :) It happens now and then. Very rare in a daily B but quite achievable in a daily C (outside prime time)

C time down to 1:50.339 in the Genesis. Trying the Corvette now. Seems like I can push it a little harder. Edit. Ha. Nevermind that idea. Be happy with 13th every race in the Hyundai.

Why are there no daily N-Races? I love GT:S' road cars and think it's stupid that you barely get to drive them in Sport Mode.
I think some people cannot even drive them, plus the balance in Group N cars is all over the place. Porsche's, X-Bow's and S-FR's would abound.

At least I can enjoy Race B's combo next week without trying to manage the hilarious tyre wears you usually get when it's in C. The GT-R might even make an appearance.

Saturday is this week.

allow me to clarify that for you, the one person who doesn't understand what I mean (or does understand, and just feels like correcting someone for fun)

No FIA races DURING THE WEEK, I guess I'll have to wait until THE WEEKEND.

There are daily N races although they're always One-Makes. Nowadays only FIA holds N class races for all cars applicable but for whatever reason, PD doesn't seem to want to use them for daily races. Maybe to try and attract more people to participate in FIA races? Nobody really knows. Before weekly races happened, there used to be.

Competition is tough on Sunday afternoon. My qualifying time for race B of 1:47.4 put me in 15th in one race. No less than 5 A+/S in the room, rest mostly A/S then just a couple of B/S drivers. So I improved my time to 1:47.037 and gained a whole 2 spots. I must suck at qualifying as during the race I can't get to my actual pace since the cars in front of me are always slowing me down. Why do people with 1:46 times drive 1:48 laps. I'm missing something.

Races are very clean though, no complaints there. It's just hard to pass, defending on Catalunya is very easy. Qualifying order is pretty much finishing order bar the ones that spin out during the race.

Race A ridiculousness.

Funny. When there are one or two Aussie Flags in a majority Japanese flap room. The blue flag becomes the target. Ridiculous. one of the blue flag players rage quit. I got smashed and retaliated on two players and rage quit. Just incredible.
