While Supet Formula is more fun, i like the F1500! It is a challenging car and driving on Brands is adrenaline pumping. Hopefully i'll re get used to it.

For daily b i am planning to use the Aston Martin (decided to use cars based on Circuit Experience and i find the Vantage a fun choice)

Wait, so you make HORRIBLE move, nerf the guy into the wall and he cops 3 seconds.

That's RIDICULOUS.

IMO, I don’t think he made a horrible move. He did let off the gas thinking that’s all he needed. A little brake would have done it. Also the driver in front could have left some room. I know defense is a part of it. It’s more of a racing incident.

I did a bunch of Q laps at race A, this morning. I didn't look at the leaderboard before I started. I finally got a lap that I felt was as fast as I could go. Then I stopped lapping so I could look at my time in the top 10.

Those dudes were 5 seconds ahead of me. Huh? Impossible. No way. How the hell are they cheating?

I decided to watch the replay of Lester's lap to see what those guy's are up to. Right away, I saw something weird. When his lap began, he was at 111 mph. My car wouldn't go over 104 mph. Then I saw it. The gear he was using is called 5th. What the 🤬? :banghead:

I thought it was a 4-speed transmission, the whole time. :dunce: :lol::lol:

No way 2 wide through there with these loose cars is gonna pay off, too risky, just tuck in then pull out for the straight.

Brilliant example of why you shouldn't give up, even when all looks lost!! 👍👍👍

Unless of course you're parked in a sandpit, facing the wrong way and waiting to be "re-set"..... then you can give up!
It's even worse if you're about to get out of the sand but it's the reset itself that does you in. I still have PTSD from the Bathurst pit entry

Ok I’m ready to go! How’s this thing run anyways? I just bought it and went straight to the livery editor.

There was bug with tyres, all qualys were resetted. And after the reset, the grip seems better. did not get under 1.16 thou.

I think that the guys/girls that make these daily races, especially this hatch one, are complete tools.
"hey!! people want some european/american track. LETS GIVE THEM ONE!!! BUTT becouse they got bored to japan tracks, LETS PUT THIS POS FORMULA for car" / PD

I just spent some time doing qual laps with it. On wheel this car is hard to get the hang of. However just now I started to get how to get the car set and hooked up. Wow.
This is an awesome car, but you have to look deep into yourself just to begin to get it working.
Now that I’ve driven it a touch...Very fun, and dangerous!
I’m still way off pace but shared my qual lap even though you can see there’s way more there.
It’s not a pos it’s just demanding.
Very rewarding if you start to get a couple corners right.

Some inspiration from real life for Race C, a 1:08.2 lap in qualifying for the 1985 European GP at Brands Hatch from Keke Rosberg. He must have used the soft tyres, as I can only get a 1:10.4 so far xD:

80’s BH was shorter than the track we have now. The left after T2 (hairpin) used to be a flying bend. Now it’s a bus stop

First time Race A was a very crazy experience. Being in Slipstream on the last straight and the guy in front brakes for getting pushed and I got a penaltyyyyyyyyy.....
So unfair driver....

I still have PTSD from the Bathurst pit entry

Dood! It's Mount *Panorama*. The view at 80kph is quite scenic.......

This is loneliness. Displaying memories of happiness. When I look over all that's left, and despair is what I found...Yeh. I picked the wrong fly and just couldn't match the Hatch. If anything the F1500 is even more cantankerous than it was when I did Brands in the GT Lounge when it was first released! I managed a qualifying time that should have placed me reasonably well...in my DR . Unfortunately the rest of the DR/Ds are shaking in their boots, so the grid of 16 had only 2 of us to represent. I started P11. I also saw @brianloch. He was doing a svenno 👍. Started P15.

The standing start gets under way and I managed not to jump the light . I got passed before T1, but T1 and 2 were kaos :scared:. I managed to get through possibly with an orange SR.. not sure, but no time penalty. I came off at Hawthorn and dropped back to last place as I tried to get back onto the track without pulling out in front of someone. I already kinda expected that I was going to be running up the back for this race, so i just got my head down and got on with circulating.

I managed to gain a couple of spots catching up to the tail, and eventually pitted lap 10 for fuel. Tyres were fine so just a splash and dash. Unfortunately on my outlap I had an off, which lead to more offs :banghead:. Took me a lap and a half to scrub the tyres clean, in the mean time the tyre wear indicator said they still had another 10 laps in them...but they felt like they were all red till I removed the kitty litter et al .

It was about this time I saw the marshals angrily waving blue flags at me... I think they were trying to tell me that I should be feeling depressed that I was about to be lapped.... by P1-8 . I finished P12 . @brianloch the legend went from P15 to P2 . Nice work sir :gtpflag:!

And the damage? SR up to 99 :D. DR went *up* 54 despite finishing *really* crap . Gotta love those DR/As and Bs :p. Another day above DR 1 :dopey:.

In race C I managed to go from 9th to last after I got a penalty for someone else driving into me, to finish 4th. I didn’t stop, I had the engine wound back to map6 for most of the race with a lap and a half of full beans at the end. I did have to let a couple of faster cars past though. And I mean I actually let them past, my tyres were starting to go off (mediums) and I was saving fuel so I decided not to fight.

So, I guess starting position at race A is gonna be totally irrelevant with the slipstream set at strong.
I'm glad I only did a Q time with one of my accounts. I think I'll leave it that way and race from the back.
Starting up front may be a disadvantage.

@Sven Jurgens, you would probably get lots of wins there, if the slow speed doesn't drive you crazy.

I hope I get to race this week. The races sound fun but I suck at all 3 combos.

Probably feel safest on Race B but still need a lot of practice. Might try C but doubt I'll get comfortable enough to race. Race A seems fun in a bumper car kind of way.

Interesting. Theoretically, race laps will be quicker that qualifying laps due to slipstream... all except for the lead car.

I'm pretty sure Ricky-Bobby's shake and bake move would work here.

N100 with the longest straight :yuck:

I screwed up for race C. I started to practice and accidentally set a time forgetting to hit retry before crossing the line. I pulled the plug yet too late. Just greeted by an angry ps4 and a qualifying time for race C :banghead: Too busy struggling with that car to think of hitting reset :banghead:

Not risking any more practice, might end up at race A anyway as this car feels off and sounds awful. I'll see how it drives in the 1pm race. Damn, the SF19 was so nice to drive here. Kinda bummed out atm, GR.1 would have been nice.

Starting 9 of 15 :banghead: I'm going to get punted off T1, I know it already.

I guess they want people to say "hey susuka and fuji monotonous combos weren't so bad, pls bring em back".

If you are 1:16 the suspension isn’t even working yet. It’ll be like ice then turbo kicks in game over.
Props to guys above going low.
Seems some here had scuba gear ready for race c!
Motor is like a pipey 2 stroke dirt bike but torque is there also.
I think I left this morning at 13.7 and I was just scratching the surface.
I don’t buy this user complaining about grip. Before that was proved untrue and it’s untrue here.
You gotta go fast enough and use proper inputs to get the car working on c.
I wish I could be playing it right now.
I only just started to get a handle on it and had to go...

I can beleive I just saw Sven’s name on my friends board on a Monday, I had to go look outside to see if everything had frozen over.

Sven, just make a second account for Qualifying only, and only use it this week from the back without qualifying. But from there on out you can practice Q times on that account only without worry. Plus then you’ll be able to switch back and forth any time between back starts and mid/front starts. I really like having the option to do both at any given time in any given week. :)

LMAO those Turismo guys always cheat by using ALL the gears!

That was one of the most frustrating races ever, wtf, I'm so pissed off right now.

First the start. I did not get punted off in T1, already got punted into the wall way before. A couple cars in front of me stalled. I got bumped to the wall by the car to my left who was trying to avoid the car in his way. The car in front of me was a solid ghost I could not avoid, I stalled, got hit from behind into a spin, from 9th to last.

First lap was out of some comedy freak show. I went from last to 7th in lap 1.... However I did end up with a 3 sec penalty from running into the parking lot at T3. Crap brakes could not fully stop my car in time to avoid the valet parking going on there.

The penalty didn't matter since back field kept dropping off like flies. However then after I get into 5th, 6th is starting to ram me off the road. Twice he pushes me off, both times I get SR Down. 7th is joining the fun and starts bumping me as well for more SR Downs. At some point he bumps me hard into 5th, we both go off, 7th gets a penalty. The penalty is not enough.

After the pit I get close to the two fighting cars again. I pass when they are too busy fighting each other and get into 4th. However one draft catches back up and starts bumping me every corner again. More SR Downs. In the last lap he punts me off, he gets 3 sec penalty, yet I lose 5 sec in the sand. Finish 5th.

There was nothing fun about this race. Crap car, crap penalty system, crap drivers. At least the worst offender had a red A, I lost 5 SR from the parking lot penalty and all the SR Downs getting bumped from behind.

Sorry for venting, but I was really looking forward to Brand's hatch. Just not with this nightmare car.

Problem is, my ps4 pro (for racing) is not my primary, since my kids play online on the base ps4 on my ps+ account. Hence I can't race with alternate accounts (without buying another ps+ sub)
