just raced and I straddled the yellow strip at T1 with no penalty as did the guys in front of me but going 4 wheels past it isn't worth it. cutting the hairpin bounces your car in the air lol

also i need opinions. i included 2 POVs so you can see the twitchiness or lag idk what the hell was up with his steering.

Straddling the yellow strip I'm fine with as 2 wheels are on the curb/track so I'm pleased with this new addition.

As for the video, it looks like you punt him off on purpose and I can't see why you did? Lots of door to door action but nothing that warranted that. He seems to try and force you wide right at the start of the clip but you stay on the track and complete the pass. Am I missing something?

The Mercedes driver seemed to be the worst as he pushes you wide into the left hander. Then the Brazilian hits the Merc, then you force the Brazilian into the gravel.

The Chaos Star was out on The Sea of Madness for the half past midnight run at the big boys race. 5 laps and each lap had 1 section that was faster than the other 4....:odd:. Yeh... consistency is how you describe the way something holds together or, viscosity.... it sure as heck don't describe the precision of my laps :scared:! It looks like the DR/Ds came out from what ever rock they were hiding under and took on the Hatch! Started P6 on a grid of mostly Ds with some Cs and Bs thrown in. There was an A on pole, but he vanished at the second screen where the chat window resides. 15 on the grid to start.

I made the mistake of letting go of the throttle to a neutral position and got a pre-start penalty before the lights even started! I got rear ended at the start, then knocked wide at T2 and ended up in P15. Got two orange SRs for my trouble.

Head down, bum up and just focus on lazy cornering to stay on the track. There was carnage at every turn and I started to go up, then the people who had gone off come barging their way through because they couldn't be bothered waiting for a clean pass. More orange SRs but on I continue . I kept circulating and pitted P5 on lap 11. Just a splash and go, no boots 👍.

Came out of the pits P6 with yet another orange SR ... I guess it didn't like my pit entry .. there wasn't another car within 11s of me ! I managed to hold on to P6.. I watched the gap behind me change anywhere from 4s to 12s...mostly 7s. I mercifully finished P6 with no red dot . I managed to stay on the track mostly this time! The guy who won started P14 with no qualifying.

SR still 99, DR went up 400 odd :dopey:. Another day above DR 1 :D.

yeah i definitely did put him off track. both times he was beside me we hit because he would twitch his way over due to lag or his too high sensitivity. he couldn't even stay in a straight line.. i was probably gonna take him on the inside anyways though, when i hit him off he was going wide.

right after i did it i thought it might have been overkill. road rage i suppose.

Watch the etiquette video again. GT Sport is a contact free sport. Lots of door to door action... The bump pass was not intentional, the rest certainly looked like it.

Just got dumped twice during the last matchmaking screen, not sure if its the server or the latest update? I restarted my PS4 and deleted the network data in between but it made no difference. Made it in 3rd time lucky and entered race C, qualified 9th and finished 6th, not too bad..
SR up from 96 back to 99 after trying race A this morning, who wins and who gets a fat penalty seems t be pure luck. I won one and crawled in last a couple of times, once you lose the slipstream your dead...

I can see how his bouncing off you in a straight line would be irritating, but it didn't cause you any real problems and yeah it did look like overkill. We've all been there though!

Appreciate your honesty about it though. It's not easy to post a video and invite feedback 👍

Yeah I do know this and I'm not saying it's okay. I'm just saying what preceded the punt didn't warrant it. In my opinion :)

Something's definitely broken. Tried a race C. 12 players on the grid. One of them left. The race start ....only 2 of us on the start line !

As for the race ... Well ...I'm B/S , not particularly good on Brands Hatch and the other one was D/B. I ended up laping the poor guy once .. almost twice. An easy win but that's not racing. I'm quite confident there were more than 2 players wanting to race at this hour.... :(

I like to keep myself in check. I cant be going around wiping people out like a mad man. Restraint was what got me to SR S in the first place.

I was about to do one of the daily races but GT keeps losing the connection.

Is this happening to anyone else or just me?

I have restarted and all that and it’s still doing it :(

Me, too. I just give the game today one more chance or I am out for today.
I have a good connection to my home network/wifi. Yesterday I made about 30 races without any problem. But today...it isn't possible that my wifi is worse...

I got a second victory today in a decently filled room this time.

I think I'm done with Tokyo though, it's too risky on SR
g8sd.jpg

I escaped SR loss againm yet it feels like tempring fate too much.

This was the race (sped up 2x to make it slightly less boring than watching paint dry)

The trick is to be 1 second behind coming out of the final corner for an easy victory...

Then I did another F1500 race. Here's the first 5 minutes of that before it settled down a bit

Contact free sport... Way too wobbly for my liking. My right hand actually goes numb at the end of the race :/ Can't do 2 in a row.
I finished 7th in the end. I had reclaimed my 6th starting position but ran out of fuel. The fuel calculation was wrong, got 6.2 laps in lap 9 and ran out right before the final turn. Pit crew fired.

Like somebody mentioned earlier, i just got savagely divebombed at T1 and recieved 3 seconds for my troubles. ps4 glitched the clip and didnt save the divebomb only before and me being wide after and getting 3 seconds.

and this gem with a yellow wal-mart connection calling me trash after the race when i think this was good racing until he hit me because he didnt cut the last corner. would have had space if he put 2 wheels over like everybody else..

oh and i only tapped his rear through the curves because of his goddamn lag. get these budget back alley connections out of my races

@Sven Jurgens Hey Now!! I had a really great battle with a guy last night while watching a beautiful interior violet eggshell dry!! He called dry first but it was still tacky so I won! ;)

Writing this post made me think of this clip, I used to love this show. Not Da momma!

Race C is just crazy this week.
It´s a combination of everything: Car, Track and especially the standing start.
I did several races with and without setting a qualifying lap.

Fun Fact: I finished better from P.17 than from P.4 :odd:

Every time I started from the front I got pushed out of the first corner and the race was over.
When is started from back the first corner was much easier to survive.

Looks pretty fun at double speed. It appears that there's no good reason to take the lead at race A until you're on the straight, on the last lap. Strategy race. Looking forward to that battle. 👍

not sure it's just post update that the connection glitches have happened. I was racing 12pm - 1.30am last / night this morning (GMT) and it was bad then. One race started with me 14th on the grid and everyone slammed into the wall on turn 1 and i raced ahead thinking victory is mine!! Then it dc'd!
Dc'd a few times at different stages and on different accounts

Another attempt, one at a time as my right index finger feels numb again. However clean race bonus!

Not that starting 4th is any help
o8sd.jpg

To 10th getting bumped around at the start. However as you see, a lot of people were in a hurry to go nowhere.

I could have won that race but lost a ton of time getting bumped off twice. It takes so long for the tires to get grip again which a few second penalty does not compensate for.

Damn weather is on and off rain, quickly heading out before the next downpour arrives.
And yeah the server has issues.

I know this forum doesn't allow putting bad drivers on blast, but I really wish there was a way to truly report these guys.

I raced Race B earlier and a driver was intentionally running people off of the track. His motto was "if you hit me, I will hit you." He even posted this in the pre-race chat. I can almost understand if the hit was intentional, but I watched the replay and sometimes it was just close racing. And he did this to numerous people. I would love for PD to have a system where bad drivers are truly punished for their egregious actions. I even went online to his Youtube channel where he was still racing live, and he was still doing this to other drivers. To top it off, sometimes he was the one initiating the contact.

I'm just venting a bit, but it would be really nice to have clean drivers in sport mode and also ones' who at least apologise after the race. But not this guy.

Keith.

You can post a video clip of him doing what he does. Just don't actually type his name when you call him out for being dirty. We'll see who he is.

I thought about that, but it won't matter. I just tuned back in to his live feed and he's still up to his shenanigans.

As you are going into the last turn on lap 2 I am like, noooo, nooooo not on the outside, just a bad.... and he's off.

I got a win from pole in race A this morning on my second account. Was over 1 second in front on first lap. That isn’t enough to break the slipstream.

Then 4th after turn 1 on lap 2. Was still 4th at the last corner. Slipstreamed my way to the win on the straight.

Had to do a “Mansell dummy” on one driver to stop the blocking attempt!

A no stop strategy on race C is working out for me, haven’t won yet but I finish higher than i start. You need to watch out from behind as drivers on full tilt can close in very quickly. I had a faster car nerf me into the gravel trap at paddock hill despite me giving him enough room to get past.

I think it possible, but you’ll need a bit of luck too.

I saw one driver win from pole by 13 seconds because he missed the first lap bumper cars.

Cool, thanks. It would most definitely take a LOT of luck considering it’s a Tokyo track.

But the draft is strong enough to make up the time vs length of race?
