More I learn to trust the certain track edges and know where to cut track, the faster I get. Still not at 1:10 but getting closer.
Like the video title says 1:11.668. not sure what the optimum was. First sector was 3/10ths slower than my fastest. :)
No TCS, ASM or CSA. Have wrecked more than 100 formulas.....

After driving the F1500 a bit now, I just have one question. How the heck did ANY F1 Drivers manage to live through the 80’s??
Yep. The bmw turbo engine produced 1500hp in qualy tune. Just nuts

If my memory serves me right, I think that the drivers used the brake to bind the car, like home made TCS. Also helps to keep turbo spooling to reduce lag.

Like the f1500 in this game, need to open throttle sooner and hope that the car is straight when boost hits...

Missed your post :dunce: Anyway, the answer is "way too much to even try". I got as far as turn 3 of my first practice lap before realizing I needed CSA badly  I can't drive the car without it. Don't know if anyone else in the top 10 stars used it.

I didn't, and none of the other replays I saw yesterday did either. The CSA performance ceiling has always been lower than without, although in this car it will be narrower than usual and will help the vast majority. I worked out yesterday only 20% of times set were within 107% of mine, nevermind Fraga's today.

I was in 1st for most of the second lap but a 3 second penalty did me in in the end, luckily I caught a draft to keep me in 5th after getting slowed down.

This is gonna be fun. :)

Edit: I wanna go into TT Mode later and put a proper gearbox in the F1500 just to see how much time it gains.

Edit 2: 2nd race A, started 3rd last, up to 1st by lap 2 but noticed I had somehow picked up a 4 second penalty. Got draft bumped into the outside wall before the esses and it ran up to 13 seconds in penalties somehow lol. Still finished 5th, Red A at the end though, ouch.

It's crazy racing. There was a learning curve for me. My first race , this morning, I was about a half second behind the leader coming out of the final turn. I was thinking I'd get a win, for sure. I passed him way too soon. He drafted back past me around tunnel entry. I don't block on straightaways.

I think next time, I end up in that situation, I'll just back off the gas and wait until the tunnel to make a move. Well, maybe. I guess it would depend on how far back the next guy is. Maybe bump draft him. Ok, maybe I don't know. Definitely a weird race.

Thanks for the tips, good to know.

I got pinched off into the wall last race on the final stretch, I decided to pass there to make it harder for him to get back into my draft after but he pinched me off before I got by and picked up a 4 second penalty, so I got the position anyways lol. I’m down almost 1k DR and 24 SR in 2 races so far.

It should probably be 3 laps. Lot's of down time between races.

I just kept the car bouncing off the rev limiter until the proper time to start overtaking. 1 sec behind is perfect when you get out of the final corner (unless of course the car ahead slows down to let you temporarily ahead) Any less and stay within 0.5 sec for a bit until making your move.

It's still a mess than eh ;) Perhaps I'll see you later on the track. I'm heading outside first, sun is still out, wind died down, balmy 13 degrees. It's practically summer!

Yup, but I’ll be sticking to Race C, hope to see you out there!

This one was a smaller/slower room so I went for the no stop strategy on mediums. Started on FM1 and went to 4/5 after a few laps, short shifting most of the way. The car actually drives nicely on FM5 lol. I think I finished with .5 fuel left in the tank with an 8s lead, It was 19 after they pitted. :)

Race A on the copens is hilarious :) just stay out of trouble on the the first lap, stay with the pack and look forward to some tactical positioning on the final straight. I managed to fluke a win from 7th. I was still 7th as we went into lap 2, I had to back off and wait behind the pack and pick my moment. Only just won by a nose, maybe about 3ft!

Be there once I am comfortable with it lol

It can be a fine line between a race going well and going badly. This was my win last night. The road ahead was fortuitously cleared for me early on. If it hadn't been, the cars behind would have got within striking distance and it could have gone very differently from there onwards.

Comfortable? Is that even possible in this car for people not named Fraga?

This was my Win from the back, I think my best lap was 14.9 or something close to that. I used the race replay so it shows Fuel Map for anyone wanting to try a no stop. I could have conserved fuel better from the beginning and made a better overall run I think. No stop may be the way to go in this race. :)

How have you managed to make the replay look the same as the race, rather than how mine looks, which is different and doesn't show time gaps, for example?

Nice to see someone else doing the race in one stint. I’ve tried every time except my first attempt. I’ve not seen anyone else try it.
As for fuel map, I’ve just stuck it on 6 for most of the race and cranked it up for the last lap.

It’s the actual race video, not the saved replay. My PS4 is set to auto save the last 30 minutes of screen time, so when a race is over I can just hit share and trim the actual race video. It’s good for cases like this when you want to show the Fuel Map, BB, Radar or the Gaps between cars, or other things the saved replay doesn’t show. :)

Your PS4 automatically records everything you see. All you have to do is hit the Share button and save it.

This defaults to a 15-minute file, but you can set it to other lengths. You can also electively record by double-tapping Share to start the recording, and double-tapping again to stop it.

Nice! Thanks for the info.

This was my first no stop attempt, I stopped twice in my first race because I forgot to get fuel in the first stop lol. I thought I had started on FM3 but I was wrong, I started on 1 after re watching it. I may try FM3 the whole way next time, though the car actually drives awesome on 5/6, no worries about spinning, not even the warn out tires at the end. :)

So first race, started pole, lost the start...then I messed up going off track a few times blah blah. Down to 5th I believe, worked my way back to second and finished 2nd. Tough car to handle, but fun sort of...

Nice work man! She’s a Spicy Meatball on full power.

Did you stop? How many people got to finish in your race? I think there was only 3/4 in the one I did.
