Could be. The car is unknown, but SF is a good guess.

Would the Jr RebBull car be fast enough for the race to be the right length?

Edit: Or do we get an update before then and it could be the RedBull Competition car?

How many laps was it the first time we had SF at Suzuka?

I wanna say 13, but I’m not 100%.

That's 2 seconds quicker than what I did in the Vantage. Race pace could be different altogether. See how we go.

Have yet to have a race at Monza that doesn't start with some wonderful person sending it straight up the inside and ruining half the field's race with -SR and penalties. Going to stick to Dragon Trail I guess; it's a shame since I really like Monza but children gonna child.

Well, diving into the pit at the start to let the rest go ahead is no good either. Then you get to deal with stuff like this

I didn't check if that lost me the clean race bonus already, I lost it later anyway. First I had to go outside track limits to avoid a car, 0.5 sec penalty then this happened, 2 SR Downs and a 1 sec penalty.

You would think being over 0.4 sec ahead in the car with the best brakes would be safe.

Next race, SR Down in Ascari traffic again. I did reach the podium, 3rd place with fastest lap of 1:50.064 in the Lancer. My SR is back at 99, more drivers shipped off to SR.A and a bunch of quitters. It should clean up eventually.

I suspect it's not so much that they're getting worse, more that you got to a level that is roughly right for your current standard. When your DR is much too low, you qualify either on pole or close, and mostly drive away from everyone, and this means you don't get rammed much, so most races your DR increases. As you approach your limit, you start to qualify lower down, say 4th-5th, and it's more of a struggle to not get rammed. This happens even if everyone is trying hard to drive clean, it's just a natural consequence of the field compressing with the slipstream, and there not being huge differences in ability between the people close together on the track. When you get to around the right DR for your standard, you're qualifying around the middle of the field, with lots of drivers of similar ability close to you on the track. At C rating, obviously people make many mistakes - if they were able to drive perfectly all the time, they'd be A+ not C, so you have to expect imperfect driving from people. Much of the time it's incompetence not malice.

So if your true standard is high C/low B, and you're now low D, it should get easier for a while, as you should be able to qualify close to the front, and then your DR will steadily rise again, your starting positions will fall down the field, and you'll gradually experience more collisions again.

No they're getting worse. They're driving like absolute lunatics, and deliberately targeting drivers to gain a single position, even if they can't hold it for more than one corner. But they'll still wreck your race all the same, or penalise you because they're trying a stupid line and it backfired on them. Who dives into turn 1 at Monza at 60mph from 19th position? Someone who wants to cause an accident. And there's no way it will get easier if they keep driving like this, because I won't be driving at all.

Saw some Lancers, one Atenza, one Veyron, one Cayman. Noother cars yet. I wonder because I drive the Subaru again and again and have success.

I'm the same but in the 4C instead. I've done around 5 races and each time I've been the only one on the grid. I can't get anywhere close to my time set in the 4C with the Huracan or other so-called meta choices plus I prefer to drive it over the Huracan anyway.

I think the moral of story is to stick with the car you're personally fastest/successful with and without being too concerned about what the rest of the field is using.

All I can say is I started a new account recently, and after 18 races it's at 15k DR, 99 SR, and I haven't noticed anything like that. Super Formula around Autopolis was a binfest, but it mainly seemed to be people trying to drive without TC when their skills weren't good enough, and the cars just being too tightly packed on the track early on.

I took an orange arrow to serve the second placed car, for passing and then crossing in front of me and slamming on the brakes. I t went off trying to keep 1st position, as it exited the pits ahead of the F1. I commented after the race not to do that again. It had me beat on speed, just give space. Also made me lose my gap to the car behind. I had a nice 5 second cushion.

I wanna say 13, but I’m not 100%.

Red Bull Jr. should do it in under 2 mins on default settings (I did a 1:59.6 in a league, on softs with 95% power/110% weight). Though x15 tyre wear is not enough for a pitstop on hard tyres in this car

It could also be the F1500T-A again maybe

Next attempt ruined by a Corvette, first bumping me onto the grass on the way to the second chicane. I managed to hang onto the road with 2 wheels thus got SR Down grrr. Meanwhile I lose 4 positions, but the same driver causes a huge pile up at the chicane and I get caught in all the mess with more cars coming from behind and get singled out for a 5 sec penalty. I got him good later, and the game didn't even give me SR Down for mashing him into the wall until he spun out. Try to avoid accidents, get punished, cause them, get a pat on the back. That's GT Sport in a nutshell :mad::yuck:

I got matched in the fast room this time, actually starting last. The above all happened in lap 3 and 4 since I had the luxury to hang back in the first 2 laps. Yet the race was such a mess cars were still flying all over the place even after the pit. Race standards are so low at this time of night. And that's the A+/S to B/S 99 SR room.

Lancer attempt 5 coming up, or is it 6 already.

10pm attempt spoiled in T1 already. Lots of ghosts, I take it easy trying not to get tangled with them, however the car behind me does not. He gets beside me in T1 then punts the car unghosting in front of us off the road. Unfortunately his punt has that car brush mine on the way off and I get a 2 sec penalty. Ok next time I'm definitely pulling over for T1. It's just not do-able with anyone starting behind you.

Later in the race I had the most amazing 3 lap battle with a Jaguar F-Type. The lancer has the brakes, the F-Type the speed. We swapped positions at first then he held me off for a while, a bit of side by side action, all contact free. He played a smart and fair defense making it hard to get the inside on him. Yet finally in Parabolica he went a bit wide so I could get the better exit on his inside. The jag outpaced me on the straight yet since I now had the inside I could comfortably out brake him for T1. Clean pass, then he couldn't get beside me anymore until Ascari where the Lancer brakes proved to tip the balance in my favor. Awesome race!

Next race with @DaddyDaFoe_ on pole, me in 20th. Perfect! This must be good, let's have a clean race. Well it was going fine (I stayed behind the carnage in lap 1) dodging spin outs, avoiding accidents, holding my breath past the penalty zone, letting divers go by, etc. Until lap 4 T1. I had made it up to 10th by then, yellow flag for T1. Crap. A MacLaren spawns right in front of me, luckily ghosted doesn't harm me. A GT-R spawns in the middle of the chicane, ghosted or maybe not. The GT-R is twitching weirdly yet I pass through without any effects to my car, SR Down anyway, wtf!

Anyway later a dirty Mustang bumps me for another SR Down. At the end of the race there were 4 red A's, 2 red B's and 6 quitters or disconnects. I don't know what happened to @DaddyDaFoe_ he was listed with the other dnfs. It was a dirty race from start to finish. The races do't even clear up anymore after the first 2 laps. I finished 5th in the end, got my best lap just under 1:50, my first 1:49nr and blue S.

Time for a break. Clean race bonus from the back during dirty 6 hour period is practically impossible.

I was doing .37 with sf on Suzuka.
12 seconds slower than Autopolis.
The 10 laps do seem a bit on the short side..p.

Tried Race B by accident. Totally thought I was lapping but must have entered a race. Was very surprised when the Joining Session message came up.

QT 1:40.5. Got me 10th. Finished 10th. Blue SR. -500 DR somehow. Bah.

Could have placed better if I was more aggressive. Did not enjoy the race much. But want to get the Q time down, at least a second. Then maybe try again.

A break helped, or rather it's the 11:30pm race again that delivers
Izwd.jpg

Finally, dirty hour is over. A more sensible race with only 3 red ratings and 1 dnf at the end. I got to start 20th, best lap of 1:49.9 without drafting. I finished behind 8 GT-Rs and 2 Mustangs. One makes = less accidents I guess.

That's 7 of 35 cars completed with clean race bonus. Well behind schedule now but I only have time to race during the worst hours this week :/ Perhaps an earlier break and maybe it might already be better at 10:30 tomorrow. (10:30pm today was terrible) At some point during the week the dirty period should shrink back down, I hope. Out of time now, behind schedule.

The Lancer is a nice stable car, fast through Lesmo and very solid through Ascari. Braking past the 150 marker for T1, no problem. If you can catch a draft during the straights you can get quite far with this car.

Would the Jr RebBull car be fast enough for the race to be the right length?

Yes it would. There are other GR X cars that will have similar pace but the Redbull Jr is a good shout at being the one but as usual we'll have to wait and see.

SF is too fast for just 10 laps so it shouldn't be that. ;)

Damn.. finally was able to pull off the gtrs in my 'tang in race C. Had slowly build 4sec of lead before a pitstop at lap 5 - just to hit "do not refuel" by accident. Thank god i had been short shifting for fuel save and was barely able to take a lap before second pitstop and was able to save 5th or 6th at the end. Dont remember which as i was so pissed off..:irked::lol:

Next race i bumbed ever so slightly to the rear of a fellow racer at 2nd shikane. Just a tiny bit to push him barely over curb. 4sec penalty at first lap and found my self in the middle of excrement storm. :indiff: Was able to take it cool and finish 6th.

Tried shorty the GTR at qualifying. My god that thing is steady performer. With mustang i get super fast laps now and then, but with gtr i can run 1:47s all day long.. must try it in race i guess..:indiff:

Mixed racing last night, race B in the 458 again, someone ran into the back of me before the last left of the zig zag bit and immediately went off, 2s penalty for me, followed by someone unghosting right in front of me in the 4-apex turn, couldn't dodge and punted him straight off. Another 3s for me. Lost a lot of places from that, raced the rest of it clean, think I recovered to the 9th place I started in, still got a red S.

Thought I'd try the 4C for the next race, didn't go well, spun it twice, once avoiding someone, once just being over enthusiastic trying to catch up after the first one. Thankfully there were two others making a mess of their race, so I managed to get 14th.

Tried a couple of laps in the NSX, but didn't quite get on with it, so back in the 458 for the third attempt. Started P8, got to P6 early on, and stayed there for most of the race, about 1.5s behind a 4 car battle, which looked remarkably clean, until the final lap. One of them bumped another at T1, sending the victim into the barriers, gaining me a place, and the bumper carried his penalty to the line, giving me another place, a clean race 4th place to finish my evening.

Next week's races look good, hopefully A's car will be MR or FR, could help me to get to know Autopolis. I like Gr3, I like Brands Hatch, hopefully I'll like them together. I hope race C is the Red Bull Jr, one of my favourite cars to drive, especially in VR.

Race C is the work of the devil.
Last night i just raced one after the other in the foolish hope that things would improve. No chance.
Starting races in varying positions - 5th / 10th / 15th... always the same outcome.. T1 and back of the pack! One race i was punted right across the first chicane virtually back onto the track, but instead i got a 4 second penalty and was reset. I think it was that race where my fastest lap was lap 8 at around 1:50 and that was the first lap i had without any contact or penalties.
I lost my rag at one point and actually took out a revenge punt which i have never done before, this was coming into the 2nd chicane after some joker had nudged me off into T1 i sent him into next week at T2 and skipped over the corners and got no penalty. Madness.

Even tho I like Monza allot I just don't do the weekly when it comes by. Just because of the carnage. I find race B allot more clean and enjoyable. If there would just be a solution to all these ramming and penalty issues... :(
exactly right.. i had a good night racing B on Monday and thought i would try C last night. I just used my 2nd account to race C so not really bothered about SR/DR
