Tried Tsukuba and without surprise... all r32...
And i legit thought it was gonna be a peaceful race but wow immediately at T1, there are shoves and all and unnecessary slowing down. From 10th to 6th but it was not enjoyable :yuck:

Next week is up:

Race A: Gr. 4 at Autopolis 4 Laps
Race B: Gr. 3 at Brands Hatch GP 5 Laps
Race C: Gr. X at Suzuka 10 Laps. Fuel x3 Tires x15 (What could it be?)

Seems like a fun week. If I was to place a bet on Race C i'd go with the Mclaren P1.

I know I'm late in mentioning this, but race B at Le Mans last week was one of the funnest race Bs I've had in a long time. Ended up 160th in NA with a 3:56.8, very satisfied.

The daily races seem to be improving after numerous weeks at Suzuka

Depending on the car provided, it could be good but personally fed up with the japanese tracks.
Sprint Brands Hatch leads to some fun chaos though.

Wished they didn't abandon tracks like St. Croix, there are so many layouts, what a waste

Had some good races at Tsukuba on Monday and Tuesday. But today and yesterday not so much. It's gone from all blue grids to all red for me.

QT 1:04.668 has been getting me 4th/5th starts. Finishing around the same.

Bump passed the last 3 races. But all 3 times the passing car went off the track a few turns later. All 3 times a lower DR car. All 3 times I got an orange warning for blocking.

Lost 10 SR last night. Was hit maybe 4 or 5 times on one turn, several orange warnings and even got a 3 sec penalty, I guess for blocking other cars. :irked:

Come to race B. I keep getting clean races.

Any tips for surviving T1 when starting inside the top ten, @Sven Jurgens?

Luck.

It doesn't even matter where you start, one driver error or an idiot doing it on purpose and it's carnage. I even got punted starting 19th (out of 19), I passed 18th easily because they were in a Porsche compared to my GT-R and then they ran straight into the back of me in the braking zone and sent my car flying into others like a missile, there was nothing I could do about it.

Although it is the easiest to lightly improve SR sometimes, Race B is currently a nightmare. I keep getting people shooting up the inside on the last corner. The worst is when they hit me in the side and then rebound into the inside wall, with the game thinking I must have shoved them and so handing me an unnecessary 5s penalty. There's a lot of needless shoving through the twisty sections that gets rewarded by the game also, standard fare of victims being handed penalties.
It doesn't help of course that my Gr4 Huracan appears to physically be slower in a straight line than the other Huracans? Maybe something in my setup is wrong, who knows?
Still better than the ongoing disasters that are Races A and C though. Both have punting and murder attempts on pretty much every single corner. Race C at Monza also suffers from the pit glitch where randomly some drivers spend 1-2s longer doing the exact same pit stop (same fuel on entry and exit as rivals in the same car) than others, ruining a hard fought race.

Luck didn't work last night.

Neither did praying. Although, I may have chosen the wrong deity. I'll try more later . . If all else fails, I'll try sacrifice.

Weeeelllll, there go my plans of jumping in my manufacturer loaned Porsche.

This is the only penalty I've had so far. P1 gets on the curb and loses traction, which makes him swerve over into me. No big deal. Then, approaching the next turn, we're both in a bad situation. I brake to give him room. He goes wide to make room for me. We both end up screwing ourselves, by trying to be nice. Next guy gets on my outside, where you should never be outside. I got a 2 second penalty and end up 5th. The original P1 quit the race.

Not sure what the lesson is, here. It's either keep being nice, and good things will happen, or be aggressive, and make the other guy back down.

Update: Beware of that guy who took over first place in the video. In the next race, he knocked me out of the way to get the win. He's a marked man. Hoping to see him again. :mischievous:

That was hilarious! Love the way you both drive off opposite sides of the track trying to avoid each other

I don't think being nice is how this game is meant to be played, every time I do this I get unfair penalties or cars just crash into me, especially at Monza.

So I get a bit more aggressive and hard defend the inside and almost force others to cut corners to get passed and that works just fine, as long as they don't actually hit you. Most won't back down so they get past you but are hit with a corner cut penalty and lose far more time and end up way behind.

It seems with this game that sometimes you'll get a penalty no matter what you do or how aggressive you are so you may as well not just accept getting pushed about otherwise you are always the victim, even when your opponent actually gets a penalty you've still lost far more. :(

My eyes must have acid in them I guess! :dunce:

The quote I mean't to talk about was this one:

I mistakenly used your quote .... :( .

05XR8, or Spacedustdaddy, who races in the Asian circuit, mentioned his race (coming third and being held up by an Audi TT who came second, namely "Sunfungusdave"). I said that Sunfungus Dave was a good driver and a good defender - who had managed to defend against 05XR8 in the race he mentioned.

My main interest though was MiorHafiz - who 05XR8 said is was back ... I started driving again in September or so ... and I don't know the driver ... I just wondered why SpacedustDaddy mentioned him, that's all. I have seen 05XR8 a couple of times only, but I think if we do the same races we tend to race the same people. So I am curious about that guy. I guess I'll look him/her up on Kudos.

Spacedust you're making a heap of DR this week ... wish I could race, daaarrnnn it.
Yes, that player using the Genesis was extremely dirty some time back. He/she used a Bugatti at MOnza and continued to usher playes on the grass before T1. I fell victim as well. From then on, the player gets no respect from me.
It happened once in the race yesterday. to the point that player got spun out because he/she just didn't give up the spot when they clearly were going to get beaten. I'll post it.

Also, definitely the other player you mentioned, drove well enough and fair. I just had to get around him. The frustrating thing is, like I said, I'm not going to force the issue like I see many do. I just needed to qualify better if I wanted to get ahead of those players yesterday. The Megane is so fast, I could pass cars by T1, but it's just too early to make such a move when it just slows both players down. I'd rather not have to worry about who is behind me. Thing is, that time I was losing was giving P1 time to pull away. That was the frustration.

The Rolling Start need to be side by side. Not 30m-100m apart.

There is no surviving in the top 10 :nervous:

It depends on what the cars in front of you do. The worst that can happen is that you get knocked out at corner exit and spin in the sand. Outside in, inside out (hug the left) is the safest to survive. But there really is no way to avoid getting hit :/ T1 is a lottery. If you slow down to avoid a dive bomb, you'll get rear ended. If you follow close and the car in front bumps someone, you hit them. If you go on the inside, the car on the outside will likely ram you. If you go on the outside, the car on the inside will probably hit you, but in that case you get a free shortcut as long as you miss the reset point.

Was planning on doing some early race b since I'm leaving for 2 days later tonight but i got distracted lol.

At least im definitely going to be faster now :p

Love the Suit man, especially the Golf decal!! I’d like it twice it I could. :) 👍

Although, if was an open world, I'd never get any actual racing done. Me and Pigems would be off-road the whole time, making videos of our jumps. :p

Hellz Yeah!! I want to get up into some of these mountains around tracks with the Raptor!! We could do Tandem Jumping.

I like your videos @sturk0167, its mph so I don't have to decipher like @Pigems or @Sven Jurgens

I actually rarely ever look at my speed, I tend to go more by Gear/RPM instead. But, if it would be more helpful to others then I’ll switch it back next time I get on.

Random thought, has anyone ever turned around and done laps the opposite way on any of the tracks that the game doesn’t give you and option to do so on? I’ve had an urge to do this lately for some reason just for fun. Tracks like the Nurb, Fuji, Suzuka, Big Willow, Le Sarthe, Tsukuba even, I know there’s more I can’t remember. Why can’t we do all tracks in reverse direction? I know they weren’t designed to go that way but who cares, we can run other tracks both ways, why not all?

MiorHafiz is "a TCS 5 user."

This always made me laugh (whoever they are, they're fast) - perhaps just my sense of humour.. anyway I'm not sure I've had any bad run ins - contrary to reports at the time.

Superb scrap with that Lamborghini. It is a fast car. Was ahead of me most of the race. I jumped it in the pits, but when it passed me, I couldn't grab it in the tow as fast as it was reeling me in. It made a mistake out of the last chicane. I had a final chance into the parabolica. It gave me room to make the move up the inside, but side by side, it was pulling.

In other news, that Mustang behind got a run on me a lap earlier. I left room and it slashes my right front, moving my left front tyre to the grass in the braking area. I correct and punt it off. No penalty for me. Hate when people think this is F1, where you can slam on the brakes, after attempting a pass.

This is SR S? Please don’t let me laugh. Pathetic! :banghead:

I know this is my anecdotal experience but SR A is what SR S should be. I dropped down to SR A again recently and 4 mostly clean lobbies later, I'm back at SR S and what do you know? My first race at SR S is a dirty one and the highlight was someone punting me off at Monza's Curve di Lesmo to gain my fifteenth place.

In other news, my faith has been restored in Race A. Ever since my dirty race on Monday, every other one I've done has been very clean, for the most part. Also grabbed a few podium finishes, which is nice.

Behold the race that cost me all my points since September - a DR reset from 34000 to 15000. Cant think of any pretty words here.

Below is an amazing race on second stint (suggest you FF to lap 5) with a spanish gentleman on tuesday - back when i was DR A..:guilty:

Dirty hour is bad for trying to get a clean race bonus, but the post race 'chat' sure in entertaining  I lost the bonus early from a GT-R barge passing in the chicane almost pit manoevering me, SR Down for me. Then he tried it again in the second chicane. I cut the corner, penalty for him. I saw him again when I came out of the pit. I was on the right next to the wall, he came from behind not pitting yet and rammed me into the right wall. I was close enough to the wall not to spin, he got a penalty again. He left straight away at the end of the race.

From all the banging during the race I ended up with a white S, penalty free. Lot of red dots, red S and red A in that room. 7:30pm race is always guaranteed mayhem.

Next race a GT-R tries to push me into a car coming out of the pit. The pit exit stayed perfectly on the right yet the GT-R was so determined to push me into him that he forgot to brake. Unfortunately cotact plus car off, means penalty for me. The penalty system simply kind deal with dirty. -1 SR for the race, on to the 3rd attempt in the AMG.

3rd attempt spoiled by a Brazilian dive bomb. I went for the no stop strategy to stay away from all the chaos. Unfortunately there was so much chaos that the worst drivers still got put behind me thanks to the penalty zone or because the end up in the sand. I let 3 pass on the straight in lap 3. In lap 4 the Brazilian was coming up from behind, yet still 0.7 sec behind at the 150 marker. I brake thinking that's way too far to hit me. Wrong! I can't steer back left in time, he clips me and slides over the far kerb. I get SR Down.

I switched from no stop to seek and destroy mode. I had 33% fuel left in the pit so had to take on a bit extra not to get too far ahead of him. Then blocked him on the way to the second chicane. He messed up and got stuck in the blocks. No penalty for me, he finished last with red A. I got a best lap of 1:49.4 during that race., but finished with still 14% fuel left. Dive bombs, sigh.

Attempt 4 in the AMG. It's starting to feel pointless to race between 6pm and 11pm.
