Dropped a spot. Went off at the final corner and went off after my pit stop.

The game is getting monotonous with repeated weekly events, as in the case, Mini in Suzuka.
Add Rally to the events, and not to continue monotonous, bring new tracks ,,, and a circuit maker.

This weeks sport mode race a contains ground hog day suzuka with the mini. This shows the rotation or selection of daily races in sport mode is erm, oh yeah, mini LOL. Daily race a this week really does sum up track rotation. What about something interesting and challenging like Nurburgring 24h grid start in gr4 ff? Not seen that race for a year.

Would I be right in thinking Race C is a no stop?

I thought the jaguar na power, short shift but had to leave to project cars to practice for todays event. I wouldnt like to take the gr4 lancer evo around goodwood, the ffb would be goodwood hahahahaha

Gave Race B a try and wow, what a totally different race then Monza last week. no brainless divebombs and overall clean racing. The only real worry was getting to others as grip with the mid-engine cars seems abit iffy from all the skidding I saw. Lots of door reading was possible with how sideways people were.

I use to race mr cars then noticed they didnt handle right, so i ditched them for the lancer which on fast paced tracks in slipstream it keeps up well until you go to overtake it looses speed fairly quickly lol so i decided to just nudge the cars in front and magically it done well and then i spun it lol

Race A could (should) feature different tracks.

Heck, do 1 lap of Le Sarthe in Minis!!! Something other than Suzuka again, and again, and again.

Good track for the mini would be maggiore west reverse? Somewhere where if you crash your behind and out lol

Omg. That Argentinian went ape ****. Hope the guy didn't have to drive somewhere after that race.
That race you got disconnected a guy thought I was exploiting the penalty system by touching his car and leaving the track so obviously he went on a nasty rant at the chat as well (I don't know why he had to refer to my mom )

He's like that every race, blaming everyone while he drives like 🤬 pushing his nose in everywhere without any valid strategy or planning. Yet he's smart enough to only get one penalty per race to stay in SR.S. It's a do not pass, wait for him to go off (usually with someone else) or get slowed by the penalty zone kind of driver.

And indeed, the penalty system does a nice job to get tempers flared in the room.

Mini at Suzuka again. I like the Mini but suffice to say, this combination has got so old. It would be great to see the Mini at a track other than Suzuka East, PD. Please consider it.

Anyway, I still went ahead and qualified. My first thought was "Where's the 5th gear on her Cap'n?" I was almost sure with the last setup, it had a 5th gear since I remember being able to reach it pretty easily before the first turn with drafting. For qualifying, it doesn't matter so much but at least there's a difference from last time no matter how small it is. Sorry if it was mentioned, I haven't read through the hundred or so replies yet.

Possibly because of the physics change, it was much harder for me to hit a 1:06 time. I qualified with both my wheel and controller. I plateaued at 1:07.4 with the wheel while reaching a 1:06.8 controller time. Slowly closing the wheel to controller gap at least in slower classes which is nice.

Last reply before i carry on with the day, controller seems easier to handle cars but those with wheels have the overall pace especially in the longer races. But seeing the mini suzuka race again i turned ps4 off and wont update psn plus until polyphony digital sort out the constant repeat. That way it will be sonys loss not mine. I wont pay for online gaming if races are always the same, we are not getting what we pay.

Somehow managed to go from a 16.8 to 15.6 in quali, but can't keep that in the race unfortunately... DR and SR both up from C's to B and A, Goodwood hard to overtake in the turns, rather get a better drive to pass on the straights and I think you only need to put for fuel, tyres still seem fine by race end

First race on Goodwood went predictably bad. I got bumped off at least 5 times and went off another 5 times avoiding people, plus a couple times on my own forgetting where I was on the circuit. All looks samey for the first few races. Anyway no penalties for me, bunch off people shipped off to SR.A, cleans up.

Is it new that now all cars get ghosted when a car comes from a lap ahead? As soon as the leader got close to the backfield, we all ghosted and could drive through each other...

Monday mornings are funny. You got the people that have checked KP and practiced the circuits already vs the let's just race crowd with SR.S to SR.A and all DR in the same room. It should be a rally event with all the cars merging back in from the grass on either side.

I didn't change the tires in the pit which was no problem. I'm going to try a no stop next, sight seeing tour race while hopefully staying away from the bumpers.

Quite enjoying the Huracan at Goodwood still. I did try a few others last night before the new races came in just to get a feel for speed, but as I'd been driving the gr.4 Lambo for the last couple of weeks (DTG etc.) I just couldn't really get on with the others that I'd tried.

So my current wiz around time in the Hurry Hurry is about 17.2. Which is about what I thought I'd muster. Wednesday will be my first real sit down proper though, so we'll see what we can do in QTT conditions.

Might try the Maccers, if its quick? @Pigems seems to think so (not that I'll hit anywhere near your time, mind).

What about the Evo/WRX though? I still think that AWD/4WD is going to be a necessity down in the bottom echelons. Any contact and we're going gardening for sure.

Are you guys finding that momentum is still the key? It's not like there's many turns, other than the 'chicane of death', where a loud pedal power exit will make much difference?

No stop in a backfield full of Brazilians, no go. I didn't get lapped this time, timed out for the finish instead which excuses the Brazilians driving with penalties in front of me. Penalties don't count when the timer reaches 0.

GR.4 ugh, one more attempt at staying on the track. Watch for cross traffic, it's a rally event. The Megane seems to be the choice for the front.

Oh well, bumped off again a bunch of times. Not surprising starting in the back on a Monday morning on a new track. I got lapped at the end so managed to finish...

I guess there's a lot of SR to burn in race C as there were only 2 red S between all the red dots. That did not resemble the chaos in race at all. I've also been bumped off track and got SR Down instead of the perp getting a penalty. It is what it is. I'll see what's it's like tonight. I could use some less racing anyway. Bring back the instant spin when touching grass!

I see what you're saying but the last few weeks of races have been more varied than in the past so there's hope PD have been listening. Race As have had a choice of N300 car and forgotten tracks have reappeared like Brands. A repeat is disappointing, especially one that's been done so many times before although to me, it's kind of extreme to forgo updating PSN but each to their own.

Autopolis short would be a nice change

The short version has yet to be used so it would have my vote.

Autopolis short would be a nice change, or even Reb Bull short. :)

@JoeyLeonine The Mac is definitely fast for race C, sounds great too! :)

YES!!! I forgot Redbull short even existed.

Gran Turismo the Real Suzuka Simulator :boggled: except when it's the Fuji simulator.

I am POSITIVE that a random track selector could do a better job. I'm sure they are repeating setups so as not to use up a design team resource.

Still, it's a great way to test new stuff for the next game. How about a Race C at Le Mans, with no chicanes, with all the old (Gr X) endurance cars provided and BoP's to each other? 330 vs Ja vs GT40 vs Cobra Daytona!! Maybe they could do that in time for that new Ford versus Ferrari movie....or, you know, because it would be super cool.

How about a sports tire race with the gr.b cars on yamagiaw and miyabi? Type of tracks 4wd was made for? Races where one week half of the racers would dominate then next week cars for those who dominate in their prefered choice? Race c though should be a full fourty five minuite session, then gr4 nurburgring 24h can be there and still to this day gr2 has never features on nurburgring 24h race c lol. My decision? Polyphony digital need to put their customers (racers) in the studio or in charge of online races as we play the game and obvious races can be repeated to much. As clarkson says, back to the studio but for now am back to mr cars as they seem to handle alot better, good bye fr and good bye 4wd LOL, glad to be back to mr. Ferrari or lambo or nsx? Which is the best for dragon trail seaside?

wtf I love goodwood now

Went from 1st to 16th to making my way back through the field and passing for the lead on lap 14 to win the race. Got a video of the first three laps below, in retrospect i should have waited before turning into the left hander but I guess I am a gambler.

I officially request that every Race C replay uploaded to Youtube this week has to use this background music for at least Lap No. 1:lol:

Yeah, I was the one in the latter group. I jumped right in without having done a single lap on the track in any car other than N100. I started 20th, had a collision or three on lap 1, and quickly fell way behind the 19th car. I used the Citroen GT just to try something new.

I went off the track at turn 1 about 8 or 9 times. I finished 17th because 3 guys quit. I was dead last of the cars that raced until the end. Almost got lapped twice. I believe I was 1:57 behind the winner. The top 6 finishers all had best laps in the 1:16s. Mine was 1:18.9  I don't think the car is all that bad, but it's just not the right one for me. I also think that track is better suited for cars slower than Gr.4, but that may just be something that's said by people who suck. :grumpy: However, it was still fun. 👍

Race A is pretty stupid. I did some Q laps, and it's pretty much just full-throttle 97% of the time. Not very interesting.

Is there a meta yet for Daily C? I plan to learn the circuit this week. Is it a no-stop? Is there enough fuel? Tires? What's the car of choice?

Try the NSX, I got 9/10 laps out of the fuel with minor short shifting on FM1 in practice yesterday and it’s pretty good with tire wear, you can probably no stop the tires and with more fuel saving and some draft you could maybe get another lap or two out of it. :)

Race C is quite competitive, the Ferrari and Lamborghini are strong in qualifying and I've seen them win races, the M4 looks very good over the race distance. I've been enjoying the Jaguar as a decent all-rounder, probably not quick enough to win races but can pull of a decent result now and then if things go its way.
