Yeah, I was the one in the latter group. I jumped right in without having done a single lap on the track in any car other than N100. I started 20th, had a collision or three on lap 1, and quickly fell way behind the 19th car. I used the Citroen GT just to try something new.

I went off the track at turn 1 about 8 or 9 times. :lol: I finished 17th because 3 guys quit. I was dead last of the cars that raced until the end. Almost got lapped twice. I believe I was 1:57 behind the winner. The top 6 finishers all had best laps in the 1:16s. Mine was 1:18.9 :drool: I don't think the car is all that bad, but it's just not the right one for me. I also think that track is better suited for cars slower than Gr.4, but that may just be something that's said by people who suck. :grumpy: However, it was fun. 👍

Race A is pretty stupid. I did some Q laps, and it's pretty much just full-throttle 97% of the time. Not very interesting.

Ha, you did better than me. My best lap was over 1:19 in 3 races. Well the no stop doesn't count, The huracan needs a lot of short shifting in FM2 to make it, laps of 1:21 at best. Getting punted off wastes fuel as well :lol:

The first race 6 people got lapped, including me and a couple quit. Second race I did the no stop and was ahead of 6 Brazilians but they caught up, bumped me off and I finished in the middle of them. The 7th Brazilian in that race finished up ahead in the GT-R and was the only one that did not hit me during that race :lol: 3rd race I went for full power again, full power offroading :cheers: 15 laps of samey rights makes me forget where I am lol. Goodwood is basically the boring Tokyo layout without the walls.

GR.4 not my favorite, but I guess I'll dress up the NSX and follow @Pigems advice, see if that's any better at avoiding Brazilians. GT Sport saved me again today, had to swerve and brake hard for an idiot in a van coming from the opposite direction turning left right as I was coming through the intersection. Accident avoided, however no contact so I got the 'shortcut' penalty. Canadians are pretty bad drivers....
 
I’m second guessing the NSX now :lol: , she’s all over the place tonight, driving like the R8 used to with the lift off oversteer slides. I’ve got it to a 15.7 and I’ve had .4 on that a couple times but I keep fudging it somewhere along the line, clipped the chicane a few times too. I’ve got a Sub 15 in me somewhere, gonna try Hurc now, maybe I need AWD. :D

I was wondering this afternoon, why did the Audi TT get clipped to FF while the Huracan got to keeps its 4WD? I’m thinking maybe it should have been the other way around.

I really want to get the NSX into the top 10 though so I’ll be coming back to her. :)

The "real" car we have, is to GT4 regulations where awd is not permitted.
The Huracan is fictional. Though, the NSX loses its awd capabilities. PDLogic(trademark). Maybe next game we get the Audi R8 GT4.

Boring answer: the TT Cup is real (albeit not a GT4 car, but passed SRO GT4 homologation) and the Huracan isn't. Less boring answer: the TT would be FWD because it is, but the Huracan is RWD, until either is AWD... The TT has a front-biased Haldex, but the Huracan has a rear-biased Haldex because it's inverted to account for the engine position. Fun fact, if the cars fitted into BTCC, its rules would mandate 2WD, but the TT would be FWD and the Huracan RWD, because the TT has a transverse engine and the Huracan a longitudinal one (but also because there's a FWD production TT and a RWD production Huracan).

This is a great choice for dragon trail, my only concern would be you’ll be braking a split second earlier than everyone else so you’re inviting trouble.

I’m getting hot and bothered trying to reach that optimal sub 1:39 time I keep crashing.
 
I tried the TT Cup, wasted my time making a livery for it. FF cars ugh. Back to the Huracan. I got into the 1:18s with the TT Cup, but got punted off about 6 times. Why brake when there's all this room on the grass to get back on the road... TT Cup doesn't steer under acceleration, no good for me, no fast out if the car won't steer.

At least the Huracan is fast of the grid without TCS. TT Cup sits there burning rubber :lol:

Nobody wants to watch me stream as it comes with two kids arguing over the top of awful music + minecraft or fortnite noise + all the noise from their friends they invite into the party... Oh now they got their laptops to play music as well.

Disconnected while Final was showing on screen, due to data loss. Probably from my 2 leeches streaming whatever they can find to stream.

Back to B/C. Let my patience run dry during a race and decided to paint the walls of dragon trail with that guy's car and rage quit. Not proud of it at all mind you. One bump, anyone makes a mistake. Two bumps, some benefit of the doubt comes into play. Three plus bumps, it's party time!

I didn't plan to race, only qualify since it's a Monday but I couldn't resist temptation to try out Goodwood. I qualified in the 4C with a 1:15.9 which I seem to always use so I think by now, I'm an established Alfa lover. Maybe it gels well with my driving style, I'm not sure, I just like it. I did try out the Italia which I liked but was a second slower in.

I ended up in a pretty fast lobby with a few Alien+, DR As and some Bs. My QT gave me P11. Car choices were somewhat diverse with an uptick of Italias. I was the only 4C on the grid.

At the start line, I seemed to fall half asleep and didn't put my foot down when I was supposed to and dropped a few places to 14th. Lap 1 had a few people drive off onto the field to observe the planes (I should try that too but it will probably reset me). By lap 3, I gradually began gaining positions from my current 13th place primarily because of errors from others. Someone went off at Madgwick while the car ahead was serving a penalty so up to P11. Another went off at St. Mary's, people seemed to drop like flies on this lap. The next few laps were me and an Italia in a friendly battle, exchanging positions with each other twice. Nobody would dare punt off a cute 4C.

I pitted on L8 for fuel since tyres were fine. I came out of the pits at P9, my Italia friend was 3 seconds behind so I assume he either changed tyres or had to refuel more. The next laps were a matter of remaining composed and consistent, my next place gain happened at Lavant where someone had span out in circles like a merry-go-round ride which brought me up to P8. The gap between me and P7 was cemented at 4.5 seconds so I couldn't gain much from here.

I was satisfied with keeping 8th given how competitive the lobby was. The guy behind had began closing the gap on me towards the end but fortunately, I finished ahead by 0.5 seconds and more importantly, I somehow managed to stay on the track throughout. End result: P8. A good race at Goodwood.
 
First race B of the week, started pole, was leading by 2+ seconds going into the lap 4 bus stop and coasted through, 2nd place was then side by side with me going into the final turn. I turned badly and started to spin, tried to correct and hit him, I went off track, he got an unfair penalty. He still won the race thankfully.

That’ll teach me for driving at 50%

I absolutely love love love Gr4 at Goodwood this week, been at it through the evening clocking up close to 100 laps in a variety of cars. It really gets the most out of these cars allowing a constant 100mph+ in between curves that are easy to go quick but hard to perfect for the fastest exit.

I tried the 86, not bad, then the 4C, which was faster and more eager on fresh tyres but way too wobbly, a cheeky tap from an arsey Z (RCZ) took me out so next race decided to go with the Pug to see if FF was any better, initially hating the plough like understeer I soon got to grips with it and prefered the stability of being able to correct mid corner without it guaranteeing an off, and easier to withstand others dirty driving.

That led me to try out the other FF cars, the Scirocco being my favourite, and finding the Megane really struggling here. Not tried the TT yet though, was enjoying the VW a bit much. Absolutely going to spend the week harassing Lamborghini Hooligans, 458 Italias and all manner of unstable exotic cars at the Spectacularwood in hot hatches like a young upstart.

I really hope this circuit gets added to the regular rotation, and not just abandoned like so many newly added circuits have been.

Me and Mrs05XR8 watched Wreck it Ralph 2. The scene comes up where a "virtual human" buys a game car for a "real" $40,000. I then tell my wife about a real life person buying a virtual F1 car for $100,000. She was disgusted.

Hey, just stream your races with the kids in the background screaming. You'll make money as it goes viral. ;)
