Oh no... beating them is definitely the preferred option :sly:. *starts sharpening the nails on the baseball bat*....

Always. I just couldn't do it in the NSX. Handles brilliantly. Nice turn in, stable on exit, not too much understeer, etc. It just lacks a bit of speed.

I should've left well enough alone! Tried to jump in 2 more times....DC's again, and again :banghead:. Oh yeah, and to add insult to injury, I knocked like 3 seconds off my QT in the Genesis good enough for like 5th on the grid. @Sven Jurgens guess who's starting in 3rd ? Go on, you can do it....just guess....yuuuuuup! Your good friend Mr. Dirty Driver himself! And, you guys were right he's a dirty 🤬 🤬!

Luckily I haven't seen him yet this morning. I got a victory from second place, however next race disconnected 3 minutes in :banghead: The weather is great again so one more race and I'm heading out. If it was raining I would be racing all day but sun takes priority :)

@Pigems I was soo tired last night after racing the night before and then cycling for 80km Saturday afternoon. A beer with dinner sure felt good, no good for racing lol. I'll be better on Sarthe next week :)

3rd attempt this morning, started 5th, got into 3rd before Flugplatz, then an accident and a desperate pass by a fast driver with a 5 sec penalty knocked me to 6th. I kept focus, drove like the wind, got into 2nd by lap 2 then had a 7 sec gap to overcome to first. Almost made it, finished less than a sec behind him with fastest lap, best one of the week, 8:23.010. The lexus is still my best car.

No CRB since I had to leave the track for the desperate attempt from the fallen A+ driver. (who quit later when he crashed again) Enough for now until sunset!

And hard points to mount mini guns .........

The last few updates have kept messing with the handling of certain cars, so that just when you have a handle on them, they suddenly become crap to drive unless you are an alien :odd:.

I prefer not to.
My fastest lap is with RC F 1:07.804 my best optional is with the Mustang 1:07.451 and i can say that RC F Mustang M4 and Aston Martin are really close on lap time 4 me but i didn't try any other car ATM , last week people was taking about the Megan at Mount Panorama and this week its the RC F but overall the BOP are not that bad if i change car and run almost similar lap time ?

Crappy race report from Green Hell. After last night's fiasco I dropped to SR/A, DR/D. My qualifying time with the Merc GT3 last night was nearly 1s faster than my M6 time. Tonight I beat the Merc time by 10s with the '17 Lexus. Was a bit disappointed to see another 5 of the buggers on the grid. Started P6/18, Mixed grid of DR/S to D (5 DR/Ds) and SR/A-S.

Race starts, I stay mostly on track for lap 1, but did get knocked around a bit. Was able to shift a little higher and still have 1.3 laps of fuel left. Lap 2 was more of the same. One guy kept bumping me, but that was less about him trying to ram me and more about me getting loose after trying to let him by on a slightly less wobbly bit... I was half on the grass and as I tried to get back on to the edge , we both hit each other and he fell back. I was all over the track, but managed to stay mostly on the black stuff. I managed to find a spot to let him by. He messed up a bit and fell behind again but I had a 3s penalty down the strait. He had a hard time with the twisties after Teirgarten. I was right on his tail and had the momentum to pass, but the race timed out . P10, which considering the DR/Bs I was up against ain't too bad. The Lexus was probably one of the easiest cars I drove this week. SR white, DR up about 400. Hopefully I can claw back some SR at the circus next week .. somehow I don't think they will let me take my Red Bull Standard lines  (300kph exiting the chicanes... 7th through Dunlop.... 347-350kph across the line each lap :p). Another day above DR 1 .

I just did a bunch of Gr.1 testing for tomorrow's race at LeMans. Here are some takeaways:

- The Hyundai is surprisingly fast on that track. Engine sounds like a vacuum cleaner, though. :yuck:
- The Jaguar XJR-9 is surprisingly bad. Seriously, don't bother. In fact, if you're in the race and one of them is behind you when you're approaching a braking zone, just move out of the way. They take about a half a mile to stop.
- Most fun to drive group C car: Sauber Mercedes C9. If you like to drive the Gr.4 Mustang, you'll like the feeling of this car.
- I learned to really hate the Toyota and Porsche Hybrids. They're called AWD, but they don't feel like it. They over-steer and spin out, easily. They must have about 80% torque at the rear wheels. They do have exceptional brakes, though.
- The Peugeot 908 will probably be a serious player in the race. It's very good all-around.
- No need to fear the Nissan R92CP. It may have been dominant in the no-chicane race, because of it's top speed, but it's lousy handling will keep it from being a top car in this race.
- The Tomahawk felt pretty sporty. It may even be faster than the Nissan R92CP.
- Front-wheel drive Nissan GT-R. WTF? smh :irked:

The Trick for the „On Demand“ AWD Hybrids is to either directly use 3rd gear or shift soon to 3rd when choosing 2nd for the turn. They just need a different approach than hurling them around the apex ;)

I am glad the Green Hell is going, because I'm like a moth to the flame, doing it 3 more times after deciding not to go back. I really enjoy racing there though, it's just dangerous for SR but then I figure I didn't have much left to lose (and I had to go back and do it in a Supra and Merc after the live races).

Gr1 LeMans sounds like more my thing, but with chicanes is always more dangerous due to the braking differences between Group C, Modern cars and made up cars. So, do I go for a car with good brakes and get punted by heavy 80's metal, or go for a lump that won't stop until I hit someone or something else? Hmm...Penalty system says the latter might be safer :mischievous:

Haven't had as much time to sit down and practice but done a few races today for Race B,SR staying up at 99 (really think 99 should not be the top level) DR has gone down despite finishing higher than the car number each time, Got my T500RS for free/do a favour for a mate who's upgraded to the fanatec csl elite... but there's no power cable :( so DS4 for me until I get that up and running, GF doesn't know I've got it yet... where to store in our 1 bed flat...

Races were pretty clean for me in the Lexus, Quali was 10.180 but Fastest lap for the day in race was 09:983, a lot of post race insults so gather other people having trouble but was all good clean fun, thanks to anyone who raced with me today(and uses this forum obviously)

GR.3 on the Ring is definitely one of my favorite combos. Sadly I had busy week and didn't get as much time behind the wheel as I wanted. :(
Still made some really good qualifying lap. 8:08.797 with the Toyota Supra GR.3 :)
Missed a Top 10 spot in EMEA by about 1 second and the top time by 2 seconds.

I just can't stand when a few fast people such as yourself use a car and then everyone else follows suit because they think it's the "must use" vehicle to be just as fast. Then you get rooms where 3/4 of the people are using said car. Kind of annoying to be honest.

The reason I always avoid the Meta even when the car I chose will never have a chance of winning (it will feel much more special if it actually happens).

There is a saying in Germany: If you only follow the herd it‘s inevitable you only see a***oles in front of you. ;)

I’ll never understand why it matters to some people what everyone else is driving, I couldn’t care less what anyone else on the track is driving honestly. I do prefer one make races though, I’d rather the drivers decide the outcome than the cars and one makes make that much easier to achieve. :)

Don’t hate the player, hate the game. This is entirely the fault of PD and their BoP. The spread on a short circuit is almost 3/4 of a second, which is absolutely unacceptable.

I could name a few cars that I'm hoping my opponents choose for LeMans.

@Bivittavus88 The experts will be 3:20, or lower. The people who struggle with the track will be 3:40+. Get under 3:30, and you'll be competitive in the SR 89 and under races. 👍

Well I just had the worst goddamn race of my entire life. Suzuka. Got punted on turn 1. One lap later another driving goes off course but is actually glitching and comes back inside me - in the middle of the esses. Then at the last chicane a McLaren just goes deep on me and drives me off course - and I'm the one that gets a 5-second penalty.

F* this game. F* this track. F* everything. F* me.

That works for me. Did a couple of laps in the newer of the two Toyotas, last night. Pretty messy laps. But, was hitting 3:30 pretty consistently.

I think we'll do the usual hotlap/practice until Wednesday, race from Thursday onwards.

I want this week struck from the record!!! Well, after tonight's races. Unless they're good. The we can keep it.

Although going into Sarthe at D/B might be a good place for me to start the week off at. The only Gr1 car I've taken around it is the Toyota TS050 so I think I'll have to spend some cash and diversify the garage a bit. I like the classic Le Mans cars, but using a VGT on it feels blasphemous.

Oh do fear the Nissan coming from behind, be afraid, be very afraid :mischievous:

It probably won't win but I should do better with it now I learned to short shift. Last time I was losing way too many positions again on the pit, draining the rank to empty in the first 3 laps.

908 always does well for no stoppers which seems to be PDs current aim for races. Tomahawk was also good on fuel. Did you try the Bugatti, it was about as bad as the Nissan GT-R. Actually worse since the Bugatti doesn't have 2 completely worn front tires after 3 laps  Sauber Mercedes was bad on fuel.

Since it will probably turn into a no stop, these were my estimates for amount of laps in FM1 with last time's fuel settings with AT.

Toyota TS050 5.0 laps
Toyota TS030 4.5 laps
GTR-LM Nismo 4.4 laps
Peugeot 908 HDi 4.4 laps
SRT Tomahawk 4.4 laps
Nissan R92CP 4.3 laps
Audi R18 '16 4.2 laps
Porsche 919 4.1 laps
Audi VGT 4.0 laps
Alpine VGT 4.0 laps
Mazda LM55 4.0 laps
Bugatti VGT 3.9 laps
Jaguar XJR-9 3.8 laps
Sauber C9 3.7 laps
Peugeot L750R 3.7 laps
Hyundai N 2025 3.6 laps
McLaren VGT 3.6 laps
Mazda 787B 3.5 laps
Audi R18 '11 3.5 laps

Only the TS050 could make the whole race in FM1. It was very good around corners as well, but perhaps the physics chances have altered that. LAst time the TS050 felt like it was on rails through Porsche and Corvette curves.

I'm back on the nurb for a bit, UV index 10, I have my limits... It's either rain or burn lol.

Could you try Porsche 962C as well please?

That's some good info. Do you have a chart for FM power output/fuel burn percentage for each of the 6 levels? I feel like I've seen a chart for that before.

Still comes down to the player choosing the car. It's fine, I like being the oddball out that maybe has a small chance of disrupting the flow. It's just hilarious to me is all. :)

Somebody remind me to complain about the game more often. It seems to be a good luck charm. As much as I like Gr. 3, I just can't do the 'Ring. I would be back down to E/E if I tried it. So, I tried a few Gr. 4 races. Miserable races with the Atenza & Corvette. Started around 10th & got bounced around like a tennis ball. Third time, back to the show pony, the Mustang. I was shown to have qualified 5th, but some people either disconnected or bailed, so I started 2nd. And here we go, complete with a fastest lap, my first online.

I'll take criticism for the move that got me the lead. But that driver was sloppier than I was & I had the run on him/her. As they say in real motorsports, "It was one of them racin' deals".

I did 3:27 in the Porsche 919 earlier today. 20 odd laps hot lapping, plus I did the circuit experience before that.

Only car I tested.

I'll be aiming for something in the 3:25/26/27 range, I think. Maybe a little faster. I very rarely drive Gr.1 cars, so I need to practice as much as I can before I race. Thankfully, I'm not in work until Thursday.
