Couple of questions:

Are you guys driving at La Sarthe with your radar displayed, or your fuel map? In almost every race I keep the radar up, but in this one, I've had the fuel map up, so I can make sure I'm gonna get the 5 laps I need. I'm asking because in my last couple of races, I've passed people who ran out of fuel. Seems weird because it's really easy to make the necessary adjustments if you're not on track to make it all the way.

The other thing I was wondering about is when top 10 guys don't have a replay available, is it because they chose not to show it? I've never been in the top 10, so I don't know if you're given the option to share it, or if the game automatically uploads the lap, unless there was a technical problem. I'm curious because the #1 in the American region has no replay. That always makes me suspicious that he got away with some kind of trick that he doesn't want people to see. By the way, I watched the #2 replay, and he should have had at least 2 or 3 penalties.

I've been having my fuel map up, just to check I'm not caning it too much, to make sure I can finish with no stops.

Regarding the replays, I reckon you see the option against the top-ranked drivers when you just go into qualifying, but not when you enter a race and then select qualifying.

Thanks, Ben. I know where to go to view the replays, it's just that only the 2-10 guys have their replays available to see.

Damn race c looks good but I can’t really play until friday. Thanks nightshift.

Is the toyota still super good on fuel? I haven’t done this combo since last year.

Did a couple of Race A and a Race B today so far. I'm really really sick of the matching system and on the verge of ditching Sport Mode again. I'm now down to SR C (from SR S this time 2 weeks and about 20 races ago) again and my DR has collapsed by 2000 points because lower DR drivers (I started the day B/B, now B/C, was against a lot of C/B and E/B drivers) kept pushing me off on corners and the middle of straights, causing me to get SR downs when I did literally nothing wrong other than have the bad luck of having these people behind me, or trying to legitimately overtake them in utterly bog-standard ways while I'm driving significantly faster. I keep starting during the awful mid-pack and the shoving gets me down near the back. The backmarkers are aggressive as hell. I finish below the game's unhinged expectations and lose DR and SR like a cut to the throat. Utterly disgusting bad luck streak continues unabated. I've had no penalties yet I lost 10 SR in just one race from others nudging me in the side or driving into the back of me at corners.

Did another Race B. Was repeatedly hit from behind as I turned into the apex on every single corner and someone behind clipped me then drove off the track into the distance. I got saddled with a ridiculous 3s penalty and my SR fell to 23, which is the lowest it's ever been by a very significant margin. This penalty system/sportsmanship system needs to seriously be set alight. I'm driving as cleanly and carefully as is humanly possible and everyone around me are acting like missiles in a pinball machine, yet they gain SR and mine collapses and drags my DR too. WHY!?

*Side note: @Sven Jurgens, @Voodoovaj, I haven't seen your buddy at LeMans, yet. I just checked his KP, and astonishingly he just got reset. We may not see him, this week. :irked:
On races with Fuel, I always have it on Fuel Map. I'm also weird and race in 3rd peeson (with a wheel), so I jusy look back to know where other people are.

Not sure about that, to be honest. I think there was one time where my replay wasn't shown for some reason.

E - wow, I really suck at typing on mobile. :D

I have my display also connected to R3 so I can click through it when I can't reach over and cycle with the d-pad. I cycle between radar and fuel depending on my proximity to others. If I am close to other drivers, I switch to radar, then switch back to fuel.

I don't know how the replay works. I don't know if you have to share it or not. I have seen that my replay is viewable, but even if I save it, sometimes it isn't. Lately, the game has been auto-saving fast laps for me to load even though they are not in my library.

It's strange.

Hopefully never again. The community could use fewer people like that.

Had a similar experience with another racer. Like, "why am I in this race?". Anyone remember tart butter? Used to always be top. Don't see them much anymore. Maybe an alt account.

He's still around. I don't know him, but remember seeing his name all over the top 10 for a really long time. He seemed to specialize in road cars. You could find him in the top 10 of just about any Race A. He's currently #46 in Race A, #11 in Race B, and # 16 in Race C for NA region. Never raced against him though.

Trying to catch up here is crazy lol, feeling much better today. You should have seen me try to do a GT League Miata race yesterday after getting back from the dentist, I wish I had saved the replay, finished DFL.

@MikeV27 Yes, the TS050 is still the most fuel efficient, it gets passed on the straight but accelerates like a banshee and doesn’t need any fuel saving worth speaking of to go 5 laps. :)

@sturk0167 I always have my radar up unless I’m alone on the track by at least 3 seconds on either side, I just cycle to the FM page when needed. My race is typically planned out before I start so I already know where and when I “should” need to adjust it during the race. :)

@Pigems are the Gr.1 cars too low to go over the cones? I'm thinking on my next day off, I wanna set up a cone in qualifying to see if I can jump over the final chicane.

It definitely used to work. :D

I’m not sure if it still works after the last update, only one way to find out though.

I piled 5 cones together on Brands Hatch one time(yeah, it took like 20 minutes to collect and organize them all lol), only to have the experiment fail miserably, I got zero air off of it.

It's 2 taps left on the d-pad to the fuel map display, 2 taps right back to the radar. I check the fuel when there's no traffic and switch back to the radar when overtaking near corners. There's only a few key points where the laps remaining / fuel percentage makes sense to me, too much of a headscratcher to figure out what percentage goes where on the track to stay on schedule. On the Nord I have a rough idea for the middle straight where I need to be as well as when approaching the final straight, but for most tracks it's just looking at it when crossing the line.

The percentages are kinda misleading anyway when the fuel multiplier is different each week. This week is easy with five laps, 20% per lap, I can do that math :) But no clue where the 'middle' of Sarthe is fuel wise.

@Pigems Good thing the AMG GR.3 was bopped down a bit in power for last week. I was testing it on stock settings yesterday and it almost takes off at Flugplatz, over 30 degree angle before slamming down again. You can definitely get some good air there with N800 and higher.

You can really be 🤬 over by SR with Race C.

Since there's little SR to gain in a race, SR down will stick out like a sore thumb so it's difficult to balance out. I strive to race clean but SR downs are inevitable at tight areas around the track where contact between other cars is inevitable.

One of those problematic areas is at Mulsanne. Driver ahead of me braked early, I therefore slow down more to not make contact with him = system registers me (I presume) as brake checking the driver behind since he made contact with my bumper to the point of almost spinning me out = SR down for me. I'm punished for keeping the safety of the driver ahead in mind. *shrugs* I guess the system wanted me to hit the guy ahead so that I didn't get an SR down myself.

In my last race, I got 2 seconds from one of those "barge to win" drivers who nudged me at Terte Rogue and proceeds to drive beyond the track limit so the system decides I'm at fault. No idea what I was supposed to do in that situation. Down to SR A as a result.

Nice!! Thanks for the info, you can get some crazy air at Kyoto as well in an Enzo or other zero downforce supercar, coming up the hill from the chicane with enough speed and the car just keep going when the road falls away lol.

OK I am in the Megane so reserve your hate but I thought i raced well here, lots of really close quarters racing where i did not touch anyone and was nerfed twice as I attempted to pass.

Two incidents in this vid, admittedly both are risky places to pass but i get well alongside, hug the inside line and am turned into like i am not there.

I improved my Le Mans Q time to 3:21.392 in the morning with a botched final sector. Tonight I finally managed to string a good lap together and got a 3:20.506, with an optimal of 3:19.848. The optimal is still two whole seconds down on the top EMEA time. There's more in this!

First race at Le Mans about to begin, only two other TS050’s in the room, starting 14/17 in the low SR S room. :)

Well, that race couldn’t have started any worse, I went off in the final corner before the race even started lol, the guys ahead were slower through there then expected and I locked it up trying to brake/gear down to quickly and took out another guy before the start line. So I pulled over and dropped back to last place not knowing who all I had messed up.

Then I end up alongside a guy before the first chicane on the straight, outside the track in the slippery stuff, yup, can’t stop out there, I slid right through the chicane, luckily this time the guy I would have hit was ghosted(or I was), either way, didn’t hit him! But I was not backwards on the straight standing still in DFL again.

I decided to keep on trucking along, I had nothing to lose at this point. Then it all started to turn around and go the other way, gained a few spots here and there and then guys started putting and I started to gain more spots. Up to 2nd at this point. Then I guy in first bins it at the double hairpin thingy and bam, I’m in first with a lap and a bit to go. The guy behind pitted so I assumed he would have caught me.

But he didn’t. :D

I saved the video, I’ll upload it later on. :)

Quick bit of offline practice in the TS050. 3:26.052.

Hoping my connection issues are something that BT will cover, as I could really do without the £85 call out fee. We shall find out tomorrow . .

Dude, those local news outlets in France act fast. They already had a reporter out there, interviewing witnesses who saw what you did.

They obviously haven’t seen the next race yet then!

I had to deal an, um, impolite racer that was bothering myself and a couple other guys. I get that clip up too, it was pretty funny as it wasn’t my typical way of dealing with these types of guys, it worked just as well though. :D

And still finished 3rd, I’d have had a run on second if not for the impolite fella. :)

I wanted so wanted to be good with the Gr.1s. If only for Le Mans. Buuuuutttt I'm really not. They are just too quick for me to control flat out... I really am a Gr.3 & 4 kinda racer. So we took the Aston Martin to the lakes instead.

Currently on a 35.1xxx lap time but I'm sure there's bags more time there. I've started to relax and get a bit more feel and sensitivity with the triggers. I actually have throttle control. Who knew?!

2 races. 2 good races. I think we could have fun in sun in Brazil this week. If I'm not having fun in the real sun in the UK that is. Fingers crossed I can get on again. Wasted potential otherwise!

Thought I'd do some quick qualifying in Race B, didn't bother setting up the wheel, what a mistake .Interlagos is UNDRIVABLE with a controller now .May as well be driving group B at Colorado Springs.

This was the Impolite driver I had to deal with in the second race, like I said, it’s not my typical way to go about dealing with these types but it worked none the less.

This was another clip from that race, I didn’t even really realize what had actually happened during the race, I got some lucky! :D

That's awesome. I met the same guy months ago when we had a Porsche race at Nordschleife.

In your 2nd clip, you didn't see those guys coming, did you? :nervous:

Talk about your all time backfires!

Edit: I knew they were there, but no, I didn’t really play an active part in avoiding them other then maybe a slightly late turn in. It was pretty much pure luck that they didn’t take me with them. It did kinda look like the guy to my right attempted to turn at the last minute to avoid hitting me though, that was nice of him. :)

@NosOsH ’s buddy KBonics was in my next race starting 2nd, with a 20.4Q A+ Driver on pole, both of them also driving TS050’s. Only made it up to 5th in this race and I must be back into the SR 90’s or close to it now, rooms are getting faster and it’s not even 9pm yet. Gonna be less places to gain in these rooms.

I made it up to 5th by the end though and even got a CRB this time, only one small .5s corner cut penalty this time, only the last lap lol. Oh well, it was a fun race and I almost caught KBonics who finished 10 seconds ahead in 3rd place. :)

Edit: It’s FINALLY uploaded lol.

I present to you, 13th to Last, to 1st. :)

The first 1/4 lap is pretty ugly, actually it’s really ugly lol. I’m honestly not quite sure what I was thinking when I got up along side that guy heading into the first chicane, luckily I didn’t take him out.

Dunno about that. Motion controller and far from anywhere near being in the fast group, but I am getting high 1.33's in race mode using the Mustang and SLS. Not finding it especially slippy, and generally making 7+ places from dead last.

A few highlights from tonight’s races, that’s it for me for tonight.

I scored an accidental free pass here. I didn’t go into this corner looking for a pass, that’s for sure. :)

This usually works well but it kinda backfired a little bit this time. :)

Let’s see who’s old enough to get the reference.

Sometimes it pays to be patient. :)

But sometimes you gotta apply a little pressure. ;)
