The late night races throw more different DR's together to get a full grid which means the races are less balanced, the good thing is that the late night crew seem to be cleaner drivers than the evening mob. I really like the Lambo, it's quick on the straight and great on fuel. The only problem is tyres, it overheats the rears too easily if you're not careful and it feels like you're driving on ice (it might be easier for people on wheels).

We had a nice race last night when you were in the blue Corvette, you had out-qualified me and we were running nose-to-tail for a few laps.

I was feeling confident for that one! :gtpflag:

Yes mate, a great race last night too, and you're right, they do seem a bit unbalanced in the evening, those 4 or 5 aliens (you included ;) ) are that bit quicker than the rest of the pack!

I hope you guys are online Friday evening for some more racing, I'll be there, I might get the Corvette out again, as it's more consistant over a race..... Or give that 911 a go, or even your Lambo! The Merc is quicker that I ran today that the 'Vette, but more of a handful for me on worn tyres.

See you guys Friday evening hopefully!

Hey guys,

Don't like Autopolis circuit - need to learn it...
I am familiar with Catalunya and enjoying race C at the mo. Short shifting in the 911 for the first few laps has been getting me to 2nd place with no stops... but I can't seem to go faster than a 1:47.5ish. I know it's practice practice practice and I'm still relatively new to the game but can you recommend anything I should read/watch (YouTube) for pointers?

Also, switching from the 911 to something like the 'Vette or Viper I find myself lapping a good 2 seconds slower.... How should I adjust my driving style from the 911 to those cars? I'm getting a bit bored with the 911.
Cheers

Two more, and I'm calling it a night.

Same position flag to flag. None lost, none gained. Uneventful race. Finished 1.9s behind 3rd, and 2.4s ahead of 5th.

I thought I could win this one. Until I chucked it into the gravel, courtesy of going into T4 a little too hot, on lap two. Trying to chase non fuel saving Beetles isn't a great idea. I'd have cruised passed while he was in the pits. But nooooo, tired Tom took over, and he couldn't be outpaced :banghead:

Then I looped it coming out of T13, on lap ten. The almost 10s gap between me and fifth saved me.

Balls.

Still, decent result, and another thousand odd points of DR. 28,164. I wonder if I can hit A/S by the time next week's races roll around?

I'll get that 20 win achievement by the end of the week, too. One more to go . .

Love it!
Just so you know, I will also destroy anyone who I see hurting a GPT friend.
If you see me in a race, you've got backup. 👍

Likewise. To dirty drivers, We deal in lead, friends.

You know the Mustang ain’t bad on c race. It’s a tenth behind my vette time...Very planted on the final slow stuff, which is a good place to pass.
My best vette lap is still two tenths off my best 911 lap, but my 911 lap for c race was a second faster than the previous four...With vette, I had 4 of six sub forty seven...That’s one reason why I like the power fr cars gr3.

Managed to get a few qually laps in for all races.
A - 1:04.350. Top 500 in EMEA. Happy with that. Car is fun to drive.
B - 1:53.450 in the WRX. I liked it around here - car only had 12 miles on the clock. Maybe I have a high 1:52 if I put the laps in. Tried Toyota 86 first - didn't quite feel right to me, but the car still had -3 BB from Big Willow.
C - 1:48.665 in the 911. Less than five laps, but well off the pace. Need to be on it quicker. Was in the 1:46s last time we were here in GR3, also used the 911 then.

What is becoming clear to me is that I need to spend more time in the Group 3 cars.

I think focus on race C at the weekend, but the little Honda is really tempting!

Try the Evo for qually (Race C)

I did 1:46.xxx with that car

DANG! I hate I was just about to dip into the 9s and I ran out of time. I was .2 up on this last qualy.

Nice mix of cars there.

The S/S rated driver in the Citroen GT! I might give that car a go too. I have three and not sure I've ever used one.

Is the Citroen Group 3 a good fuel saver?

I think that in group 3 races there are much more different cars than in group 4, because in group 3 drivers trust their cars, and in group 4 trust top10 choice

Not sure, but my economy was spot on again. Just push the whole way(TCS 2). The Atenza can take it. Even with tyre wear. It's a weapon and noone are using it except me. :) Posting video and you'll see I can catch the NSX up every time(I'm sure it was conserving as well). I'm seriously pushing this car-with a few mistakes- and the tyres hold on. My last lap, is just as quick as my quickest lap.

Nice one! I like the Mazda Group 3. One of my go to Gr3 cars.

Last one until Tuesday(going away for the weekend). Might be tough. At least I know the 11th placed car I raced before, is clean.

Edit: Finished with 0.5 laps of fuel this time. My pace was slowed by a few cars conserving and an R8 that was a little skittish. That AMG in 6th had good pace after it dropped some places and passed me for 9th. Couldn't catch it on the straights.

I confess. I drive with TCS 2 and automatic gearbox...
I know, I know, it's holding me back. But spending the time needed to learn to use the ds4 for gear change and to drive on TCS off is something I can not. I am married with children and drive in the gapś between that.
And I am having fun. When I turn it off, it's not fun anymore.

Next week's daily races are out!

Race A : Tsukuba - N200 One Make - 5 laps

Race B : Maggiore GP - Gr3 - 4 laps

Race C : Dragon Trail Seaside - Gr4 - 10 laps - x7 Fuel and x11 Tires - Racing Hards

Funny, last night I was thinking we haven't had a long Gr.4 race since Goodwood. Considering we've settled in this class for the last couple of weeks I quite fancied one.

Looks alright to me.
