Is there a multiplayer game mode where collisions can be turned off? I would love to widen my Horizons!

Everyone is ghosted in Rivals but I usually use it to race my own times.

I kind of wish there were options for ghosted races against other players because being nudged or sometimes deliberately rammed from behind is really kind of dispiriting after a while as I inevitably end up colliding with a wall or missing a checkpoint and getting penalised with slowdowns and resets.
 
I had a similar experience when I tried custom racing with collisions off, never had a full lobby and they never lasted more than one set of races. Then it disconnects you rather than search for more players, so you have to manually go back and try again. Maybe better luck if you leave the category and class open but not sure. Spec racing has been pretty good, generally have found more drivers willing to race clean over ones who will push you off.

I really enjoyed this season, as I'd left the top part of the map to discover it in the snow. Happy to see some green grass again, though.

I did try Custom but nobody was interested in the category I picked. Maybe I should give it another attempt.

Custom puts you in a matchmaking pool with people searching for the same thing. I’ve found them to be largely empty so far but on the plus side the game keeps you in what you searched for successive championships.

My club did A for 3 hours on Monday whereas in Forza Horizon 5 it would frequently throw up things we didn’t search for.

I think there's a noticeable decrease in traffic, presumably so the AI can run rampant down the middle of the road between them as you encounter the same AI cars every quarter mile.

I personally find it boring and prefer online for that reason.

That's nice. I don't find it worth my time & money to give Xbox Live money after their price hikes. The only reason they have my money this month is b/c multiple friends are playing; when they fall off, I'll go back to offline.

As a PC player I dont need to deal with any of the online subscriptions nonsense. So I have the luxury to choose what I like whenever I want. I do understand why you dont like it though.

It's funny. We got Seasons in Horizon 4. Everyone loved it. Along came Horizon 5, people cried that the seasons weren't different enough, no snow etc.

They give us snow back and everyone yaps anyway :lol:

It's weird because snow in Tokyo is minimal; the average is like 4" a year. I think it would've been better to have the northern part of the map super snowy while the city area less go, maybe even rainy. I'm not sure how difficult that is with the game engine though.
 
I'm another one who loves the snow. I know that not everyone likes it but my favourite season by far in FH4 was winter. To me it feels that Japan's winter is a fair compromise between the UK and Mexico, snow everywhere but the paved roads generally clear.

I'll miss the snow for the next three weeks but at least the Japan map has more of the stuff all year round than Mexico had in the depths of winter.
 
Probably a bit late now, but for future reference there's a piece of information not included - but implied - in one of the Daily Challenges.

The challenge is: "Back on Track – Complete three laps at any Time Attack circuit"

It's not stated that this has to be in Time Attack mode. Two circuits are included in different Seasonal Championships this week, both three laps long, and they don't complete this Daily. It was my assumption it would have to be in Time Attack mode, but I just wanted to check.
 
Quick PSA for those who are looking to unlock the S7 LM:

The challenge requires you to get 3 Ultimate Clean Racing Skills in Spec Racing, which you earn by not having any skill chains broken for an extended period of time. That does not mean that you have to avoid contact at all costs, nor does it mean that you need to have one continuous skill chain going. In fact, you can bank a bunch of smaller skill chains while racing and you'll still be good.

As long as your skill chains aren't being forcibly broken though major impacts, you should be able to finish this challenge in one tournament, or in one race if you're really good/lucky. I'm not 100% certain of this, but I think you might not even need to bank the skill(s) for it to count, just having it pop up in your skill chain might be good enough.

Edit: Thinking about it, if you just want to get the challenge done and don't care about results, you can probably just get away with letting everyone pass you at the start, waiting a bit, and then racing as normal in the bottom places.
