I need to see videos for that kind of stuff.
I tried to get a video last night when a Supra of death was all over the track going super slow, with a pack of us blocked but they never fully crashed or left enough of any kind of gap to get by. For some reason my PS4 wouldn't let me save the video. Didn't think about saving replay so was out of luck. Will have to see if I get another one. But while I am starting to get a bit comfortable with race C the carnage there is going to send me back to lapping at Big Willow for a while for some clean racing.:scared:

Don't use 3rd gear to slow the car down. The car hates that. I don't believe I went to third until I had finished my braking. To keep that back end in check, I also used BB -2.

I'll keep that in mind next time I do some qualifying laps, I've been shifting down to 3rd. I didn't check a top 10 replay yet, it's more fun discovering stuff myself.

My T1 "method" was using TCS1 and switching back to TCS0 on exit. Likely slower but helped prevent the car sliding and it's what dropped me down to 1:04.3. Also using BB +3.

This "Supra of Death" wasn't matt black with chopped fingers and a symbol that looked like a yellow, orange and light green/dark green flower on the back was it?
No, but it was a fairly solid paint job of iridescent red/black depending on the angle. Kept running all over the kerbs and sliding like crazy every time. It was a japanese player.

I hate getting stuck behind someone who's objectively slower only for them to pit at the end of the first lap, while I've been fuel-saving with better pace.

It's amazing the difference between the system used for daily races vs lobbies. In @Pigems lobby we had people from all over the globe together. A full 16 car grids, and I don't recall anyone having lag issues .

I do recall a couple :/ As well as that disastrous auto-drive start failure, or not being able to get in the lobby at all for no reason. Yet when I was testing and had someone from the UK join me on the N24, smooth as silk. At least for as long as I could see his car, darn Europeans drive too fast!

And disconnected again, number 2 today. The first one must have been the entire room crashing as I didn't lose any DR, just 5 SR. This one was shortly into the race so probably only me this time.

The race before I was following a Brazilian, not a hitch! I don't get it. Some do the hokey pokey around the track while others drive perfectly smooth. Unfortunately the Brazilian I was following ran into an unghosting penalty server, well fortunate for me. I picked up 4 spots on the last straight.

Yeah. This is why I think I am going to have to run a couple of qualifying laps before I do that race again. Getting stuck behind someone going all out while massively slower than you is so frustrating. That is how I lost the big pile of SR last night. Was trying to be patient behind someone like that when a driver behind me got impatient, punted me, then as I drove up the road found the slow driver punted as well as mr grumpy who couldn't wait. I would have loved to beat him but I crapped it at start of next lap and that was it. Been holding steady up and down SR in that race except for the massive 23 point loss the first time out

Remember kiddies.... the grass is to pass 👍.

It really is. Short cut penalties and wall penalties have been relaxed even further on the N24. I guess PD likes to see risky moves. I haven't seen a single wall penalty yet and I've been racing most of the day. I think I saw one 0.5 sec short cut penalty yet tons of people on the grass or using wall assists. Last time the Nord was on a lot of people used to wall at the end as a brake, hit it sideways, no penalty, slowed down and go.

Oh well, at least you don't get punished for avoiding someone. The game can't tell the difference.

Two 14th places in a row at Nurb :banghead: the first race I was in 6th and destroyed my chance right before the final straight.

@Sven Jurgens instantly recognized your livery. Nice race.

Great race! I had to brake check that one guy after he first stuck his nose in between my car and the wall at the nord entrance to give me 1 sec penalty, then he kept bumping me. After I brake checked him he smartened up and made a thoughtful clean pass. Wonderful how that works!

Penalties are relaxed but not gone, I have seen a couple of wall penalties and got myself a shortcut penalty cutting turn 1 to avoid ramming someone but yes, they are definitely relaxed. I got 2 wall penalties in a warm up run because I went wide but couldn't steer my car off the wall for ages. I am not good at this track, but determined to get better. With help and tips from :gtpflag: of course

Really? I picked up 3x 5s (that's 15s) after the Karussell on the second lap... two of those after I ran outta fuel!!!

If I'm struggling to keep the thing on the track, I'm not realy in a position to pull aside and let someone by. If they can pass on the grass without bouncing into me , either off the wall or otherwise, more power too em :dopey:. It's not like they are getting some sort of short cut advantage.

This was cool. Don't even know when the last time I used the SLS. Channeling those Red Pig vibes.

Sigh...Megan Trophy and 86 get no where I want it to be before 1.18.0 time. I get 1.17.1 on FF. So I see record fall to 1.16 on Megan Trophy and 86. The best time on Megan Trophy is 1.18.3 and forget the 86. lol. I even follow ghost. To no avail. The set up is traction 0 and bb is -1. I believe there something Im missing. My style of driving is very aggressive. Its really perplex and annoy Im unable to carried out. Gonna keep trying till achieve.

I didn't manage to get a better lap in the Lexus '16, always something in the second lap.

First group of 5 cars results:
8:27.911 (8:26.374) F-Type, decent on fuel
8:28.919 (8:25.852) SLS AMG, good on fuel
8:29.628 (8:23.010) Lexus RC F '17, good on fuel
8:30.965 (8:26.160) Genesis, great on fuel
8:32.082 (8:26.508) Lexus RC F '16, good on fuel

Those were the fastest 5 cars for me last time, the old lap 2 time is in between brackets.
Great fun racing on the N24. Hopefully a bit less chaos tomorrow and a lot less lag.

One clip of my last race. Patience and keeping a safe distance, always pays off!

Oh I got one when I took Metzgesfeld too fast, went wide and took an excursion through the field and smashed off the wall, which totally gave me in unfair advantage, so I was awarded a five second penalty.

Well daah! Of course coming to a complete stop against a wall gives you an advantage! You are using less fuel and have less tyre wear than all the cars that are moving :sly:.

What a muppet. Did 2 races, first went ok, after the start. Kid was sleepwalking so got him back to bed, came to see I was dropping like a stone. Started 4th, 11th at first turn. Climbed slowly and finished 3rd. But some banging dropped me to only 2 SR gain.

Next race. Ugh. Couple of bumps first lap, no problem. I am going fairly clean but lose it wide at 1 point(long sweeping right hander) and drop a few spots, but nothing bad. Finishing the lap in 8th, where I started. Everyone pits! I am now 3rd with a good margin. Where I proceed to turn head on into the tire barrier of turn 2 and can't get unstuck!!!! I drop to 9th. Work.my way to 6th but get a penalty from crashing someone because they rammed me as they tried to go by, and then they crashed but I didn't. Still SR up but :banghead::dunce::dunce::dunce: what a way to tank a good race. Will have video of silliness tomorrow.

I need some help here:

This is a clip from one of my first laps in TT yesterday. As you can see, the car suddenly stops turning mid-corner. What's wrong with my DS4 and what can I do to fix it?

This is what mine did. I bought a new one, but there are plenty of videos on how to fix this on YouTube. I am still going to dismantle mine and clean the contactors for the analogue stick, but I do not have high hopes.
I bought a copy, it looks and acts identical to the original, except for the ps logos. Half the price though
