I was just trying to sound like one of the youths. I think it means optimal but not 100% on that lol. What's OP?
I've also seen it used to refer to the Original Poster of a thread.I was just trying to sound like one of the youths. I think it means optimal but not 100% on that lol.
Rephrasing: what will be the quickest quali car at Spa?
Rock solid car on this track.
Nice, how did fuel saving go? I had to pit with it last time we had this combo because I misjudged my fuel saving in the first lap. I don't remember making a 2nd attempt.
Unless anything has changed, it's more fuel hungry than most other Gr.3s so I tend to not use it whenever it's a fuel race. Otherwise it's one of my go-to cars for Gr.3 races.
I probably will take a break from N24 today, just got too mean for me last night. Have to say that in the 2 high rated lobbies it was starting to be an AMG party. Couple of 911s but lots of AMGs.
Do feel comfortable now talking about the smoothest slowpoke I have ever seen. He cut through the carnage at the start and was 6th heading into the long circuit. Not super slow but just slower enough that we had a crowd of 5 bundled up behind. Every one of us took our turns trying to get by but we were so bunched up that we couldn't get the right run at the right time to clear them. The bunching ended up with all of us serving penalties or having a crash in the crowd and the slow driver moving on ahead. Start lap 2 and same thing, we all catch up and not one of us was wanting to be the one to punt him and get the penalty. He ended up 5th. Was sad but funny in a way as we were all just too nice to do what we needed. On the other hand they weren't super slow and they weren't doing crazy or late blocking or anything, just sticking to the racing line and driving steady.
Now if I could be the one to take advantage of the opening carnage I could maybe pull that. Although I don't understand how these people drive the whole race crazy blocking from the start of lap1 all the way through.
104.8 I think here, I’ve gone 2 to the front to give me better breaking as I’m only trail breaking into turn one I’m not overloading the tires, could go further forward. also finding the last part of the esses on the run up the hill to the last corner is faster in 4th gear but the trade off is the car doesn’t want to rotate as well.Race A, I'm down to 1.03.987.
What brake balance is everybody using here? I'm on -5, I did experiment with 0 but didn't notice much difference. The fact that the brake is hardly used in this lap, makes me wonder if the brake balance is making much difference at all?
In all the laps I've done, I don't feel like I've nailed that final corner once.
Alternatively, I've heard it be used to stand for "Opening Poster." But in effect, it's basically the same idea - referring to the user who created a thread.I've also seen it used to refer to the Original Poster of a thread.![]()
As is tradition. My guess on fastest qualifying car on Spa: R8
I'll go with the GTR.My guess on fastest qualifying car on Spa: R8
I think that would negate the very idea of BOP. But on Sunday I will be in an endurance race where there will be no BOP, all will run 100/100. I can maybe say if it works as a bop afterwardsQuestion: instead of making tuning an option for races, would it potentially help if BoP also made the final gear ratio uniform across the cars? Not the ratios for individual gears or the auto-set top speed setting, just the final gearing. It could be good in bridging the gap when cars with some final gear ratios may be better depending on the course. It also seems like downforce is already uniform across the various racecars as-is, so that doesn't seem like it'd be as much of an issue as I had previously thought.
Another question, is whether making the power and weight, or power/weight ratios relatively uniform would also be a good idea? For specifically making the power/weight ratio uniform, I could see this requiring less radical changes to a car's power and weight in itself, so you could preserve a lot more of its original stats, and thus, its driving characteristics.

Lol, so I was completely wrong. Going to stick to slang from my generation.Hi, yes, youth here.
In gaming, OP usually means OverPowered.
In forums, OP means Original Poster (as sturk said).

This update is gonna be off the hizzle!
Ah, you young ones..fo shizzle
The more tracks where the Big Boi is King, the better, thank youSo Spa was just officially announced. Any guesses on what the OP GR3 car is?
Praying it's not the GTR, but looks like it might be a GTR track.
I've just done this evenings Manufacturers Series race and won from pole, unchallenged so that meant no contact and i didn't go off track once, in short it was a perfect drive (for me!). Yet when i finished i was given a 20 second penalty. Luckily i had a 27 second lead so i still kept the win. But then as others came over the line loads of them had the same penalty. What's going on?
I am so ready to yeet through Eau Rouge!fo shizzle
Who are you calling young!? I am definitely not a young person who likes to speak in Memes and say stupid things!Ah, you young ones..
Sounds like one (or more) tyre compound was mandatory and none of you bothered to use it, hence the 20 second penalties.![]()
Oh right, strange as it doesn't state that at all. Very unclear system.

Geez. How long is the race? You have to use all three compounds tonight for the Manu Race.![]()
Geez. How long is the race?
Oh jeez, Mount Panorama is on tonight as well, 15 laps GR.3. Perhaps that's better than racing on the ring in the evening, or maybe the trouble makers will be gone for better races. More likely that the trouble makers will be the ones left on the ring during the FIA races.
How does this tire thing work? It says required mediums, but softs are allowed. So at least one stint with mediums or 20 sec penalty?
