Maybe they plan to break the race up into stages, NASCAR style.

Special rules for race B, need to use 5 different tire compounds during the 8 lap race, including IM and heavy wet tires, however assignment will be randomized at the start and each time you pit to keep it interesting.

Wow, I just had a civilized race at Monza. (Quick knock on wood) I still got bumped over the curb at Ascari for a 0.5 sec shortcut penalty, but no malicious stuff observed for once!

Shifter kart for race C!:dopey: Or maybe the Merc F1.:indiff:

Got to say I like the idea of BMB but after the tales of it being like Monza I do have this image of being the one that gets wiped out in turn 1 lap 1 and spends the rest of the race hoping to catch stragglers.:dunce:

An example of last week's Daily Race C. Pretty much everything went wrong in it.

Started P5, but touched the grass under braking before Degner 2, wiping another driver out and I fell down to P12. Then I got wiped out before the last chicane, also in lap 1, so I fell down to P16 and lost a total of 11 places...
In the end I got back up to P9, but still not good...

@Sven Jurgens at this time of the day?! Very odd but maybe some people cleaning up before FIA’s?:lol:

@Redneckchef it would be a good idea to no quali and pull a Cole Trickle.:scared:
Speaking of which. Went from SR 58 all the way up to 99 in 3 races at Brands. No issues except for some joker in the group who completely trashed several people's nations race last weekend. Sure enough, that was not a mistake and was back at it.

May as well maintain the S rating and just practice for the weekend coming up. Personally, it's more enjoyable trying to find room for 0.1s here and there in bettering a lap time than it is to go figure skating while wearing bowling shoes.

I shouldn't have said anything, it was just the one race. Jinxed myself :banghead: Next race an A+ driver that fell back just casually pushed my outside wheels onto the grass in the braking zone for T1 so I would spin out, which I did. A+ dirty is on another level.

So, it finally happened - 606 races, 25 wins, including 2 this week at Brands Hatch - I managed to get to DR A. Had a very good night with 1 win, 3 podiums and another 2 top 5. I also had 2 races that I want to forget, plus the first one in DR A where I finished dead last... No, not the pace was the problem - I binned once by myself in lap 1, and then after I managed to recover from last till 8th I had a situation where an Orange Porsche driven by a Belgian did not give me any space to recover from my mistake in T1 - entered too wide and had to brake hard to keep it on the track, kept it as much on the edge as possible so I don't affect his racing line - but he chose to accelerate flatout in the way you do it when it's no one there and used me as a safety net - sending me in the sand in the process. After this point I was a bit angry and could not concentrate anymore and I binned it myself twice till the end...

I hope I am able to build myself a comfortable margin over the 30K DR till the end of the week. I think I can hold my own at least in lower A splits at Brands Hatch - one of the races we were just 3 B drivers in the lobby, all other A and I finished 2nd. As far as I can see, my qualy if 1.21.9 is still good enough for top 5 starts...

I have been thinking of that, then I keep remembering my race C experiences the past couple of weeks where even starting at the back I managed to wipe myself out. At Autopolis I slowed way down and entered the disaster pack at turn 1 right as everyone else unghosted :dunce::banghead:. Managed to give them a speed boost and knock myself off. I will figure something out, going to be silly fun anyway. Maybe if it kills my SR I will have a better chance at a couple of wins that aren't relying on p1 wiping themselves out.:sly:

@NosOsH I remember they used the new big boy red bull at sardegna A when they first brought it out. It was Chaos.

Edit to show it was Sard A instead of C

Not a bad haul, and some good clean racing as well, lots of people spinning off the track though. I did manage to make two sweet passes in the last two races in the exact same spot, on the last lap of each race, both in the 2nd last corner. I was going 1H/7M/6S, but the Mazda could easily have done more laps on the softs. That was a fun night of racing. :)

No penalty this time, but

Looks legit.

Racing was pretty good for a while, up to a clean streak of 7 until a green flag ended it with a dive bomb. It's seems 8:30pm EST was the cut off, back to destruction derby racing.

I'm in A/S now, it's faster, still the same amount of wreck fest players. One more, see if the trend continues. I could lose some DR anyway, races aren't any better in A/S, only the BS penalties are higher.

Still 3 races in a row, contact free, in dirty hour. Today 7:30pm to 8:30pm was the cleanest hour of the week.

Yep, dirty race again. I got one green flag back, the other A+ one got pulled back by a penalty from hitting someone else and was out of range to punt me. 9th place finish with clean race bonus. Enough GT Punt Battle mode for today. Blue moon bay is going to be interesting. Hopefully the GR.X car is the SF19 for some relaxation and SR rejuvenation at the Spa.

Anybody else trying to do Race C and ignoring tire requirements? I tried a few and it is quite interesting and possibly faster with a little luck. 1 stopper w/ 2 soft tire stints. My math doing this way eliminates 1 pit stop = 6 secs, 2nd stint on soft 6-7 seconds saved over Medium, and 1 lap cold hard tire 2-3 sec. Gets very close to the 20 sec penalty. Can push flat out and if starting at front will not have any traffic issues and car is so fast on low fuel on 2nd stint.

Wow excellent q time. I'm at 1.22.2 only with the Beetle. Trying to see how much DR I can grind on the only non-oval I'm good at , 28k to 39k now for 2 night of grinding.

Make a stupid mistake last night, changed from Medium to Medium tyres:banghead:, take the penalty instead of pitting again:lol:

DBR9 is not bad at all 3 consecutive win yesterday at Brands and tires are much better at end of stint , . Since i don't spending time on quali make me realize that alot waste so much time on quali and cant keep the pace in the race ? A top 10 guy yesterday was so slow that i tough he was on hard tires but no lolll he was on soft , he started on pole and after first lap he was 5ft and DNF after 1rst pit stop

Is there anything close to the rcz and veyron? The rcz is quick and pulled away from the cars i tried the other day but its not really my style. And im not driving the yacht lol
I have been driving the 458, it's not as fast but you can go faster through Lesmo I and II and in the Askari, so I got a better run towards Parabolica. You just have to watch out in Parabolica, I have been punted more than once there.

just ran the 458 and its just like you said except me and the car in front got punted by 2 cars at the first chicane lap 2. watching the replay they both braked after 150....

and they are both in the next race.

i had no reason to believe they didnt know where to ****ing brake. cant be their first time here.
No, I am sure they did it on purpose. So it's inevitable that they will do it again. Perhaps the pause/ghosting will make them be the one going off instead.

This is the reason I run one B and then two C, then one B, two C. Monza is a cesspool. A fantastic track, but the characteristics of the Veyron and THE RCZ makes it more dirty than other tracks. The Veyron's are fast on a long straight but if they don't get a clear pass and run on the straights they have no chance. So they block in the braking zone and muscle pass on the acceleration. The RZC is similar.
The dive-bombers would do that no matter what car they use...

Well it wasn't quite Monza but you wouldn't know the difference. Tried to give a go to race C after watching a few clips of others to get a feel for tire saving there. Ummm, yeah.:yuck:

First race was all good. Somewhat ok pace, manage things well, run wide a couple of times, but do catch it with no major problems. Looks pretty good. So I go for race 2.

:banghead: First when I see the grid 2 people who have caused me trouble in the past are behind me. Yikes, but aside from a rough pass down the back straight by Mr. Oz (not his name or psn btw) it is ok, pit end of lap 1 to go to mediums. He does as well, promptly runs wide at surtees and then catches me up next lap at druids and t bones me wide to get the pass, luckily no penalty. I lose a spot but ok. Next fellow behind throws a last minute dive into Stirling and punts me off. Where I get 2 seconds for 'forcing a car off track.':irked:
I recover, serve, pit and have Mr. Oz behind, who promptly sends me all the way into the barrier at surtees. My tires are dead and I limp home while still getting bumped. One guy gets bumped off by me when I get my wheels on the curb exiting stirling. I slow down to give them the spot back as we come to the finish and they punt me!:sly: So I keep the spot.

Race 3 was mostly similar to race 2, punted off at Sheene lap 1. Get caught up in and crashed by some muppets in the back playing demolition derby thanks to a car not ghosting after crossing the track twice.🤬
Still on pace to keep a p9 or p8 mixed in with A/S drivers somehow so still feeling ok. But a local thug decides to try driving at softs pace on hard and blasts me off at sheene. I get 5 for hitting the barrier I went so far. They spin out after that and get their own 5. Stops cyclevand last lap they are behind me again. Gee, what happens? I take a defensive line at sheene and even brake late. Nope. Hit so hard I have to reset.:banghead:
Still p12, and saw 20 sec. penalties in every race.:odd::confused:

I don't understand why these people play the game, and why PD decided to miraculously give them all S ratings now. Used to be I wouldnt have to worry about them for a while because they would reset and they were fast, but so dirty it took them ages to work back up. Now they are there permanently. Sad my Monza races have been ok, Brands a death match.:scared:

Think I might hold out for DRWF next and start with livery editor and anything else tomorrow. Keep those wheels on tight they gettin' crazy out there.👍
