Seems like most at 99 sr are seeing cleaner races than the last few weeks???
I know I have on c...

Err no! I am going backwards!

At the start of last week I was SR 99 and since the start of my test of my skill level is going well, I'm going backwards as down to DR 6558 and SR 58 (B) having been on DR 7317 and SR 72 (A) at the end of last week.

So it still depends very much on the race and players you get in with!

Ross Bentley points out if you are not at the limit you can alter your line to anywhere on track...

Edit @Trone_Colby
I’ve taken contact there too, usually if you get hit you can use runoff areas and get no track limits pen.

Exactly, even more so if you’re in a Megane lol.

With traffic never be at your limit, you leave yourself zero room for error in a error prone scenario. Especially early laps with heavy traffic. If it’s last laps and just you and one other, by all means go for it :)

Well said :)

Race a has gotten a bit rough. I got put into the pit wall after a great clean lap, so i was not expecting it. Next race the same guy is pushing from the start. I see i have back up though, so i am gonna keep at it for now. At least i know what to expect from him now. Manged to come back to 3rd in that one...

For me, daily race C has been decent from a racing perspective apart from giving up positions when being divebombed with someone who really wants that position badly in the early laps of the race and getting said position back later because of tire wear management.

Tried to have a go with the WRX for a first try on Race C, it's got really good one lap pace but shocking front tyre wear. Ended up finishing 2nd after being punted twice (lap 3: punter ended up spinning while I carried on through T4 with no penalty. Lap 5: leader lets me by through T4, punts me straight after the Esses into the braking zone. Tyre wear from the punt meant that I couldn't catch up). Overall a pretty good combo, even if it tends to get spread out
EDIT: had a go with the 86. Definitely a much more consistent car. Same story, punted from P2 on lap 1, straight back to 10th this time. Managed to get back up to 3rd but had my brake bias set to +2 so lacked the front grip to catch P2 (1.5 ahead). At least I got out of the DR C hell now lol

@Groundfish remember you asked if the SR99 rooms were cleaner?

Does this answer your question?

He tried to take me out but saw it coming and held my brakes longer. I did hit him by accident. I did see the chaos before my hit so I knew it was coming.

Edit: I think he was triggered by that 3 seconds and lost it. He was ok before this mess. He did get minor track cut penalties.

Lol, what an idiot...
Believe me I’ve seen way way worse.
Bout a year ago I had one of my let’s just say lapses of reason and I did a lot better than the rookie in your video.
Definitely some of my worst most regrettable moments have come on that track over the past 2 years.
But, over time I’ve gotten better at just slipping around and through it all relatively unscathed for the most part.
At Interlagos staying 99 is paramount over everything over the week.
You can predict where cars momentum will take them nine times outta ten.
Good juke.
I think in a race like C calm is what you need calm, not adrenaline at all. Calm.
Plus I’m gonna try the Megane, I know @Deadpool really knows his stuff. He’s way better than me.
Normally I’d be afraid to use mr at Interlagos but that Megane was far and away best at Brands Hatch for me so If I can have time to drive tonight Ill give it a whirl...

Q: Yesterday did a Race C. Got a penalty, finished blue, checked KP later and had -5SR.

Wondering if that's new? Used to be red was - SR. White was neutral SR. And Blue was +SR?

I like the plucky little Trophy driver trying to spin him out, shame they didn't succeed
C S & low B S rooms at Suzuka not too bad, the odd idiot but haven't spotted anyone gaming the penalty system, so far.

Use the N24 Supra for one race yesterday. Started 5th and dropped to 12th. Clean passing until the latter half of the field gained in me.

Why can't they just be patient like the faster players? When the cars that passed me, started getting loose, I was making my move to repass them. All of a sudden, no respect like what I gave them. Just rude.

Next, in the 4C. Started 7th. The front pack was pulling away. An 86 from the back, caught up and passes me. I then get passed by a Cayman. A

Again, late in the race, around lap 7, cars are coming back to me. I was about to pass the 86, as it's struggling to pass the Cayman. I back off, but still building a big gap to the cars behind. 86 passes the Cayman and checks out.
Me and the Cayman back and forth due to Cayman's higher top speed. So, I back off and pick best spot to make my move. Had to wait til last lap.

After the run past the PZ, I make sure to do hesitate a bit after the left hand turn. With that run to double right-hander, I stay on it. The Cayman has been going wide from worn tyres. I go up the inside and vanish to the finish.

Sometimes I feel I should block, because it's the only way, in many of my races, to maintain my position and move forward. However, I watch many real races and fair racers(I'm not talking about the Schumachers of the race world) don't block.

Speeding penalty. You were probably going too fast.
Maybe I went plaid and colorblind?

I've seen a few, low B/S.
But every time it's been a pole sitter or P2 that made a mistake, ran off and ended way back. They just bowling balled their way back to the spot they believe they deserve.

A few races today after more fun from the back yesterday (mostly). First race I started in the Toyota with my main account which has qualified, started 2nd and had a really tight battle with a WRX throughout laps 3 and 4 before getting ahead through the Senna S, outside into T1, slowed the car for T2 so I could get a good line and drive out which prevented him getting a run at me through the corner and he got pounced upon by a Cayman and a Megane. There were five cars within 2s at this point, but I was able to gradually pull away from the Cayman, breaking the tow after a lap, he was then overtaken by the Megane but with no tow the Megane couldn't keep pace and I eased away to win by 4.5s

Then I jumped on for a couple of races from the back, thought I'd try the NSX as it's slightly quicker in a straight line. All I can say is I need to check my livery for target markers. I've never experienced so much dirty driving. One Frenchman divebombs into the first hairpin, spins me before the next one, then waits for me, targets me again, then when his tyres are outperforming mine closes up - and spins me again! Then post race chat he's focusing his ire on a different Brit whose username begins similar to mine! Next race (in Toyota now), he wasn't there but he had his place taken by another Frenchman who, as I was about to overtake him into Yuncao, just swiped across me taking me out, I lose 10s and get SR down while he gets to drive away punishment free! Also had a race yesterday when after closing 5s in three laps on 2nd place, he defended the inside into T1, which obviously allowed him to then deliberately run wide and push me off - later claiming that I hit him!

Race from the back down to 38k now but I do think the NSX is a viable option if you get a clean race. Don't brake too hard unless you have to, look after your tyres and the extra straight line speed means you can overtake, even in a train of Meganes

Had some great racing last night, only 1 bad race where I had a rough one. Started 18th in a A+/A/B room, made my way up to I think 14th on lap 1, got hit in T1 and sent right to the back again. Worked my way back to 10th and had a weird spin in the hairpin, back to 16th lol. I think I finished P11, quick race to forget.

Had two great runs from the back each up to 2nd with some great battles. Here are video highlights from those.

The pass for P2 on the final lap was a tight one but no contact. First part of vid I saw the Mclaren coming in like a missile so I stayed wide and let him fly through into everyone lol. I find T1 is very easy to overtake if you know the braking limits on the cars. I know the Megane is one of the best, so if I'm braking near my limit and you are still flying...... I know there is no way youre stopping, so I just stay wide and let them screw themselves.

Also had 2 great races on my main. First one started P5 and finished P3. P1/2 were teammates (Same name) who just drafted each other until lap 8. Sorry but that's BS, race like the rest of us. The advantage they had on all straights was absurd. Second race I redid my quali time between races and started P2, grabbed P1 on lap 3 but I wasn't shaking P2 so I lifted into T1 to let him take the lead and then pressured him hoping for a mistake that he never made. So on L10 coming into T1 I made a last second maneuver. Video below. First part of video is P2 who had dived on me earlier but I anticipated it, this was me letting him outbrake himself into T1 and flying by to chase down P1.

Also a reason to have full damage. Even the best of us can go into a crazy rage when pinballed by a group. At least with damage we are out and can calm down before next race.

The fact that he got almost zero additional penalties for taking out 10 cars is why i dont do sport races anymore. Penalty system finally killed my desire to race. I just stick to my one regular lobby. That scumbag deserves to be publicly shamed.

Yeah, we haven't quite gotten rid of all of these monsters in SR 99 yet but we should soon enough. I had one in a race the other night, most of us had a red S after getting within range of him either to escape or exact revenge, he had red B. My big problem has been the start on both my race A attempts last night. Rocked in with a total of -41 SR combined. Both races entered I was either 99 or 95 SR. For all the speed troubles I have had in race C it has rated much cleaner than the Death Race stuff I see in the pack at race A. Got a second there in one as we hit the hairpin at the start and the leader and I were just past the impact point while the rest of the pack imploded. I was about 5 or 6 seconds behind at the finish, p3 was 15 behind me.
