Yeah, I would’ve thought the TT Cup would’ve had some usage, but it seems like the RCZ dominates the top 10 leaderboard. I wonder why the RCZ is so popular for Race B, over other FF Gr.4 cars?

I also had the idea where in every stage of the FIAGTC, you get the option to pick a car from each group (including Gr.1 and each N-Series class), then being “locked-in” to that car for the stage, or maybe even the season. For the N-Series, you’d have to pick a car that’s in that N-Class as stock, rather than needing to modify its power.

It’s just that I really like how the Manufacturers Series allows for more diverse fields, so I was thinking other races (e.g. Gr.1 races) could be similar in some way. Or at least, there should be a way to avoid everybody just picking a “meta” car when there are many options available.

The RCZ has the highest top speed and accelerates a bit quicker than the TT from what I can tell, it was OP at Monza too. BoP will need to be changed yet again, most likely mid season again.

Im at about same DR as you..Been doing some quali for race C this morning its not looking good for me. Not driven this track before this week thou. Whats your time and where you starting ?
QT 1,37.8xx. In almost every race Im starting top 5, only once I started 8th... Now Im again in A so probably tomorrow Ill start in the middle... Good luck!
Edit: just managed to set 1,37.723:)

Anyone yet the Scirocket? Has the best low speed turn in and handling of the FFs. Haven't touched the Dailies in a minute.

A 1:37.911 has only been good enough to land me a 19th and 16th on the grid, FML.

EDIT: And to cap it off, I get almost shoved into the grass at the penalty zone, the offender cut the next corner and spun out...right into me, shoving me into the Shadow Realm. Nah, I'm not cruising around in last for the next 10 minutes just to lose 500DR instead of 1000DR and 5SR.

Yeh thought as much im still 1s off pace. The last sector kills me. Going to have to spend the week learning Gr2 cars and track.

Wasn't sure it was that current. Just subtract the day to day for the DR?
Yes, the data published by that site is based on the given DR on a day, and it 'freezes' the day, so the latest line is the latest value, and any prior day (login days, not calendar days) will stay 'frozen' while the latest line could be the current day... so any change in that line is the impact from one race to the next, if you look at it immediately after a race. I think the update time for what is a 'login day' is GMT +0 or so, as I will usually see a 'new day's' data around 7 or 8 PM US Eastern time, even if 'mid-session' for the evening.

So the way to see any given race's impact on the DR is just to monitor the change in the latest day's value, from one race to the next. There is no resource that I'm aware of to see it on a race by race basis (though you can see SR on a race-by-race value on the other website https://gtsport.r1s3.net/user/10410461 (my PSN ID... replace it with your own)). But I've found this website does not update as quickly as Kudosprime, which is nearly instantaneous after a race result is confirmed.

I tried that on a few races, but it wasn’t fun to me. I know most people are way more competitive than I am, but I always pick the car I like and so far it hasn’t once been the meta.

I've won a few races & about a quarter have been in any car that was deemed META at that time. That means I've got about a 75% win count in cars that are thought of as too heavy, too slow, or couldn't handle. Some wins have been great battles where 2nd place was all over me, but couldn't make the pass. It's fun to show some drivers that you don't need the META to win. :sly:

Yeah, I hate meta cars too, but it's hard to argue with 3k DR in 4 races with the RCZ...

So, your suggesting that I META until I get my DR up to A & then smash people with my other accounts? :mischievous:

Did they tweak it at all in this most recent BoP update?

The one before that I believe.

On that note, I made a new livery today.

Lmao bruh

At red bull ring i passed an rcz on the inside at T1 and i had wayy better exit speed. Of course by the end of the straight he was half a car ahead of me. Straight clownery from pd that it hasnt been nerfed.
Racing those things at Dragon Trail last week was crazy. I could pull a massive head of steam out of a corner, have my door at their front wheel and simply watch both the TT or RCZ simply drive away. Still had fun with it though.

Again, put blame at least partially where it’s due. Certain people complained and complained “OH MY FRONT TIRES OH MY FRONT TIRES THEY WEAR OUT WHEN I RUN POWERFUL FWD WITH TCS OFF AND WHEELSPIN EVERY EXIT!”
The cars were always fast, but lack of grip kept semi balance...
Just like many of those same voices complained about the initial shared fault pen system.
To me it seems that when PD listens to the community they often cause more problems, maybe they knew what would happen and did things with a sense of humor I dunno.
The tire model has more grip now and that even exacerbated things.
Gr4 Bathurst dailies were a one make FOREVER!

See a lot of complaints about CRZ domination.
Wondering, why people even bother themselves with race B this week, when both currently Race A and Race C present opportunity to race nicest RWD cars?

- Doctor, I hurts when I do this!
- Do not do it.

cheers

After a few tries at red bull ring a few weeks ago i gave up on op gr4 FF one makes. I want to do race c but idk. Why does gr2 at autopolis come up all the time? I swear its gr2 at suzuka or autopolis all the time. Except that one time at seaside.

In any race with tyre wear multipliers above around 6, the FFs were at a serious disadvantage due to both the pace drop-off and the fact they needed additional pit stops. Without tyre wear they don't have that issue.

The BOP seems to be a one-size fits all calculation that broadly makes all the cars equal somehow in one specific situation. I think it's actually aggregated laptimes from a number of different circuits, but it definitely doesn't include all the myriad tyre/fuel multipliers. I've never understood why it isn't a per-race BOP; PD can surely run a load of races (with B-Spec Bobs at 10x speed, like it said for GT5; they're not as good as people, but they should be uniformly worse - though there's no reason it wouldn't be possible to make them as fast as, or faster than, people) with the appropriate settings and adjust power and weight until the field is all running the same total race times.

I guess it is because this group of cars races on those tracks in Japan in real life.

I am not a biggest fan of this particular combo. With updated slipstream is is hard to overtake skillful driver on cars with heavy aero. but I still would do it 10 times more before doing fwd gr4.

Back in 2017 I was actually looking for fwd races because I was hungry for easy victories and level of competition in fwd races was lower than in rwd races. Then I realized that racing fwd in GT Sport develops a bad driving habits for me, so I stopped doing it.

I tell ya, race A,B C is pretty much impossible for me in anything atm. Even though in race B I've seen Mustangs , F-Types and Vipers to the front, I am just mugged on the straights and mugged in the corners in anything FF, so much so that it make me not want to buy an FF cause I feel like I'm giving up. Doesn't help that I am now in races with A/A+/S players as well. I think imma sit this week out really, finish up the campaign mode or do normal lobbies.

I've done some races in c yesterday and nothing happend except me struggling to keep a consistant pace.

This is nice to watch struggle.
Please, let me ask you a question.
What you race with a cockpit view, do you sit really close to screen to imitate real field of view? Or do you sit... like most us sit whatever?

By far and I mean by a lot the most fun races I’ve ever had have been dailies when locked in battle with a player who either by car or skill has a big advantage on one sector of the circuit but I have an advantage on another.
Honestly my vette vs Porsche battles always end up fricken fabulous, gr3.
It’s fun to pit a faster car on straights vs a handling car when the BOP is suitable for that race, like real fun. What is not fun is when one car is too fast.

I just can't stand fwd cars in this game. I hate the neverending understeer, the way they fight for traction over bumps, Yuck. I got downgraded to a B DR last week all because I refused to use the RCZ and TT in race C. Stuck with the mclaren, 86 and the Ferrari, all beautiful cars to drive, but none had a chance against the rcz/tt convoy, which had too much straight line speed. PD really need to tame these fwd cars, there is no way they can have such a huge advantage over some of the best MR and FR cars in the game.

Do the Gr.2 cars at least seem a bit more equal?
I am finding in the couple of races I have done that they are 'semi' equal. NSX is simply all out fast, but it eats tires and tries to kill you a lot. GTR-16 is still super quick, but smoother, stable and doesnt chew tires, but has solid understeer. Haven't taken my brand new Lexus out for a spin yet, but it seems to be stable, good on tires but not lightning fast.

In my couple of races I have taken a slightly slower smoother line from the start. Last night went p15-p12 in one race, with 2 offs as I completely forgot to brake for one turn and turned in on someone by accident when I knew they were there. Just a brain fade. Next race was p14-p6, was punted at hairpin lap 1. Both races I managed to pass plenty of cars that ran off and as the races went on I was closing in on others as I hadn't melted my tires. Last 2 laps if the second race the NSXs were pretty much just drifting the course. I was running the GTR-16. My qualifying time needs work but I wanted to race in my limited time, so have pretty much been a starting last challenge so far. Maybe I can get more than 5 laps in today.

Honestly, grab the car you are most stable with as just keeping it on the road seems to gain you spots. The races I did I kept finding in the last few laps a large number of the NSX started appearing in front of me as they lost tons of speed, and I am not good at saving tires.
