a nice way to end the week, never won from outside top 5, feels even nice that i won this in a super competitive A lobby, frankly i was just lucky when everybody was fighting i was picking them one by one and held them off pretty nice despite the fact that they were 0.5secs faster than me, just parked it on the apexes and always on the inside, it was hard but fair racing, always on the limit!!

Just had a play on the next race A circuit, with the only 2 N600 Italian cars I could find (seeing its in Italy) lol T1 & T2 will be a blood bath with fast cars hahaha, it will be interesting to see what car or cars are on offer at N600.

I'm on the edge of being DR A again. Not sure if i can hold on tho.
I have hopes for the next Race A :)
GTR would be nice.

Had a 1.35.547 FL at Race A having the slipstream. Finished 4th and lost DR, podium were A, the pilots finished behind me were C and D DR mostly.

Edit: Disconnected leading lap 3 and lost 1k dr. Oh well!

Maybe PD did Race C for everyone to build up their ranking.

Edit: Race A. 9th to par to 8th. *yawn*
Should have been Ford vs Ferrari.

Edit2: Did a cautious 3:08.916.

Did my two first C of the week. Mixed experience.
First race, P3, P1 is in one of my liveries, always nice to see. P3 to P3,clean race, no penalties.
Second race, p5. Makes it to P2 by Arnage, then dive-bombed by a LM55 and penalised with 1.5 seconds for forcing that LM55 of track.
Then at p15, working back up to p5, then the very same LM55 dives me again, forces me wide and I get 1.5 in track penalties...
It goes on from there, driving badly because of irritation, getting more track limits.
Finished p11.
Going back tonight.

I typed "Best combo ever"

Just have to watch out for outbraking. I went too much on the inside and went off while I was in 3rd.

Also, penalty mayhem for the innocent. If the culprit touches you, 1.5 seconds automatically.
You got a wall, which I did, 1.5 seconds!

Nice long race. Taking a break. Will try the 962, Jag, C9 and R92 last.

I knew that Jag would pull at around 3rd 4th gear. Beast. 787B has surprisingly acceleration out of corners. Just fascinating!
The 962 looked stable and quick in the esses. Good stuff.

Those of us holdouts who kept racing group C through the previous le mans dailies are at a significant advantage. Anyone can steer these beasts down the straight, it is getting it through the esses and chicanes that makes your time.

Ran the 962 and had a 919 behind at the start. They rocketed ahead, until just before the first chicane area on the straight. Had pulled 2.6 seconds gap by mulsanne. Got a 787 behind me, they were out of slipstream, but could close 0.3 to 0.5 down the straight depending on who got the better tertre rouge. Going to be fun.

Edit someone in my lobby didnt get the memo. Starting on the TS050

So far, the R92CP is starting to make itself home on the Daily Race C Top 10 board for the Americas. The aliens aren't awake yet, so the go-to car could change later today.

I did do a quick C race, so I can record that and get it over with before I get punted into oblivion before I get busy doing other things. That penalty zone in the middle of Mulsanne Straight is an absolute killer. Getting a 0.5 second penalty from Corvette Curves to the first half of the straight will force you to serve it there, which will overall slow you down by 2 seconds (by the time you reach the end of the straight).

In other words, don't get penalties. :)

Funny post about the early US race time. Every time I race early here (East coast USA) it’s almost exclusively South American race 8(

Only time I seem to rage in gts is in the morning now that I think of it (if you havnt noticed my post lol)... hmmmmm a clue...

Yeah. I had to eat those words yesterday. Seems Brasil wakes up earlier on Sunday mornings. I usually don't start seeing them till closer to 9 AM EST.

@Famine Has site traffic been down lately? It doesn’t seem like we are getting nearly as many posts over the past month or so?

Also, has anyone checked the GT Sport player participation lately? Is there less people playing again?

Looks like numbers are down from their "lockdown peak" but still a little higher than before and still over 100k per week, which is still more than any given week last year.

It does seem quieter on GTP though and it does also seem like FIA participation has dropped off. I guess life getting back to some sort of normality and getting towards the end of the season where it's increasingly difficult to improve your points might be part of it?

I noticed that too... figure it's just the combination of summer taking people's time more, and some people who were stuck at home getting back to regular business. But the forum seems awfully slow as well, compared to weeks past.

I wonder if the FIA side is based on most people's season standings being pretty well locked in, given the 'best 8' formula... I know that it will be hard for me to move much further up the board, unless I start repeating podiums every race, so if others are 'giving up' it wouldn't surprise me.

It is definitely harder to commit to racing each weekend now, even if I want to, with summertime activities and other things taking priority more often.

Traffic's fine. As for posts, I usually move around 11 pages/330 posts into the archive thread each week; the week of 22nd-29th June was about that, but the 29th to July 6th was only 7 pages - there were surprisingly few posts between the 2nd and 6th, to the point I thought I'd missed a page out... It looks like I'll be moving 10 pages/287 posts next week, which is about ballpark. I guess it was just a crappy week (and I don't race Tsukuba :D )

I expect we'll see another 10-pager for this week, because Race C looks great.
