Thanks guys, have good memories of the jag here so will give that a lash.

And the NSX fast? You sure? Its always so slow but kind on fuel.
Yeah, I don't quite understand it but a guy I'm generally very close to in pace one-stopped an NSX and on his first flying lap on mediums went 3 seconds faster than my TT (admittedly on very second-hand hards but 3 seconds!!!) and then gobbled up the TT (mediums) and Jag (hards) in front of me. It just seemed to fly around the track.

Great selection this week 👍 Here's my best laps so far in all 3 qualifiers that I uploaded to my channel...

Dragon trail flat out through the chicane is great feeling!

Have fun guys

Race B: I figured 2:03.8 in the Lexus '17 might be fine for a day 1 good starting place but nope, 13th in a very stacked lobby.

I didn't make a single overtake and finished 11th by passing a penalty server and one that flew off turn 1. A lot of barging in a group ahead of me, people impatient in a 3 lap race. Who'd have thought. Luckily I had a good sport behind me most of the way who didn't try sticking his nose in or pushing past. PD, please make this race longer next time.

Here is how to handle the jerks at Seaside. :mischievous:

You mean, it's not a good idea to do the CoD two abreast?
I love when players do that. Not!(remember that? "NOT!").

Anyway, I actually had one player yesterday, back off. I was on the right, it was on the left, just behind my B-pillar. The entry is coming and the player backed off and we carried on racing.

Some feel, if they are on the left(side by side), they get the entry. The first "corner" is on the right. The player ahead gets the entry. No doubt, if the player on the right, is slightly behind, they need to back off.

Who still has the video from a few DTS lobbies ago when someone tried to go 3 wide through there?

A guy I was racing with last night missed his braking on the hairpin before the chicane, I got the run and it was a drag race to see who had the lead. Unfortunately we both decided to bail on it at the same time so we ended up entering it 2 wide at least, just about 20 mph slower:lol:.

Rather that type of stupidity than the damn the torpedoes approach. I backed out at least twice last night and had others do it too.

Walks up to the podium

Fellow racers. This game been out for 3 years. It amazes me that people still brake at the chicane of death on Dragon Trail Seaside.

Stop doing that! A little lift is all you need 9 times out of 10. Also for the love of god or whoever you pray to, stop going two wide there! It never works! Don’t go on the inside, you’re setting yourself up for failure and you will most likely kill the people on the outside.

Thank you.

After 155 races with no reset i have been reset for the 5th time in 45. I hot one guy, the rest of the penalties were just insane, I don't get it.

Anyways used the viper, qualy 46.4 which felt fast then before logging off tried the jag and boom 45.9 with optimal 45.5 soooooo guess I be racing the jag tomorrow.

I guess that means my push was filthy. I’ll show it tomorrow.

Hmmm. Might be time to try the Jag. Got my Viper time down to a 46.6, if I remember correctly. Only race I ran I started 2nd, finished 4th. Not much in the way of dirty driving. Well, other than the 2 guys ahead of me early in the race. After that, I got passed by some faster drivers. The last half of the race was amazing. I should share that tomorrow. Winner did a no stop in the Ferrari.

This week on the Weekly Race Guide;
  • I well and truly go deep to Narnia
  • The most Random Penalty in history
  • 2 Chicanes of death
Certainly was an interesting one but hopefully it helps you this week!

P.S. If anyone can work out how that penalty was obtained you win 1 million dollars.

Love the video and had some great laughs!

And take a drink everytime @Tidgney says "happy days" lol

Start/Finish:

SLS - 2/6(too much kerb on the exit of the first chicane, started on RM)

NO STOP
Cayman - 4/3(slow, but excellent handling and tyre wear, I never use this car. So, not bad, as I'm mainly an FR driver)

NO STOP
M4 - 5/1(awesome awesome car, tyre wear, pace, consistency, speed, awesome)

Vantage - 6/7(crash at COD. My daughter wakes up and walks behind me. Her hair brushes my shoulder and I thought it was one of the cats jumping on me. Right at that moment. C'mon, man  ) Got as high as 2nd, in a three-way fight for P1. Moved up to P2, got passed, P2 has a bobble entering COD, sparks fly, I get unsettled ad too close to the barriers. Too late. Nite nite. Fall to P5.
Pit for RM on next lap. Run hard for the last 5 laps.

Also, some player in a TT Lenovosports or something, just plows thru everyone. Stayed hard on the throttle spinning this NSX. *mental note: he called me 'Francis'*(Stripes reference ;) )

New experience for me this afternoon. I experienced THE dirtiest racing I’ve ever seen in an SR99 lobby. One guy repeatedly swerved across in front of me at the last second whenever I was overtaking him. It happened in the Esses, on the section after the COD and on the sf straight for 6 consecutive laps. Then, when I finally get past and work my way up the field another peanut punts me completely across the sand on the very last turn and I finish dead last.

In the lobby chat I called them both out as dirty drivers and the guy who started on pole and ran unchallenged to a no stop win called me a sook. Then, to add insult to injury, my SR dropped to A and my DR dropped to B.

It’s races like this that make me wonder about the average IQ of GT Sport players.

Not good enough. Tracks that require real skill are never on Race C anymore. Nurburgring 24hr not been on since November 2019 and the 2020 Nurb 24hr race been and gone and Project Cars 3 was the only game to have Nurb 24hr on its daily races. Polyphony Digital do what they want and want all players to be just like them, utter Ground Hog Day Race Brains. Blue Moon Bay Oval gr3 never on either. In fact, Japan should be banned from making racing games as they fail to have real tracks and cant even put real tracks on race c. Time Sony, who are useless and arragant these days and listen to no one complaints should sack Mr Kaz and put someone else in charge. Next week, let me guess, Suzuka, Fuji or Autopolis LOL. GT Sport, the utter nutjob event. In fact Gran Turismo Sport is full of dirty rivals and usual top rank, they dont care about their old loyal customers.

Went from 6th to 2nd in 3 laps, had a great run. Nearly took first, but they pulled out a gap of 3 seconds before I quickly reeled them in through lap 8 and lap 9. coming into the last lap when I switched to hards. At which point I realised he was actually on hards the whole time and was zero stopping :(

Maybe just me. But the no stopper seems so much quicker in Race C.

Generally the person setting the FL in race, is seldom the one who wins it. Personally mixing it up, pit once in a while. Otherwise, the no stop seems to offer the best results.

Starting P19/20 and getting in to the top 10.

Which view are you using? I'm here to learn, because I feel I have to learn a lot about this game.
I will shortly explain myself: in GT6 I was always close to WolfAono, now I'm basically a scrub.
I raced against a guy with a similar quali lap time as yours, no problems with braking an we basically went on the gas around the same time and with the same modulation, but he was pulling away as if he was on soft tires instead of hard tires, we were using even the same gears, so I can say I hit a wall in progression.
I use only weak ABS and I drive with the bumper cam, I've read some people use the chase(lmao)cam even though they're on a wheel, which is fine since it's a videogame but whatever.
Me and the guy I was racing against both used the Corvette C7, which I love, and you can see the car doing 2'01 on the leaderboard.
My time is subpar to say the least, my race pace is 2'06-low or 2'05-high, seriously it's as if I'm on wrong tires, I tried EVERYTHING but there's no way I'm going to shave any cent right now...I need help!
Also I watched the top guys replays and they seem to drive on rails with the car always having a perfect balance, no idea how they do it.
I'm using a T300RS with T3PA pedals, 3 torque and 10 sensitivity.
Does internet speed matter? I always have the full bars, 6ms ping, 20Mbps upload and 65Mbps download, running it through an ethernet cable.
Please send help, there's no way I'm this slow...it hurts so bad...

EDIT: it's only the Gr.3 races, in Gr.2 I'm "only" 1-2 seconds slower than the top guys and it's the same for Gr.4, but in those cases I know I definitely have a big room for improvement

EDIT 2: the wheel also seem to be "slower" after my first session, it was WAY more responsive, so that's another big question point

Hi guys I've started streaming my daily races from the back or wherever I start

This stream I talked through my races from the back of the grid on my alt account, last to first in both in Race C, hopefully the stream provides good insight in how to stay out of trouble and how to race well
And I also had a go at Race B which was also relatively successful

I also streamed before with no mic still good races and after this i streamed had a good race with basic Ollie after qualifying on my main account with a 1:43.8 for race C
