Porsche's are my fav cars and i really like Willow tracks.
Last day of the year i managed to get 1:22.387 qt at Race A with 911 gt3.
I feel i can do 1:22.1xx but my arms, hands, fingers hurt.
I made 15 consecutive clean races for the bonus. Mostly A+ and A players, most in the top 50 in my region. I only did not fight at the 15th race. Very nice racing this week.
The best I can do with arthritic hands is 1:23.267 and then I have to have my wife pry my fingers that clamp down on the controller.

The first time I raced Big Willow (last spring I think - may have been Supras) I hated it, but grew to love it. I think it's one of the tracks that suits me and the motion control. 14 wins this week, 20 poles and 15 fastest laps, which is by far the best I've ever done during any week of racing. And I only recently discovered that it's a real track!:guilty:

I'm crap at the RBR - managed to finish near the back all week. I'm bad enough at the Ring in daylight, so didn't even try that one this week.

Did a midnight Daily Race C. Had majority A+/S, with me and a few others as B/S. I started 9th in the Atenza, but drove through the pits to keep a CRB. Couple players at the back were going off track. Finished 14/18.

Well I just too the Scirocco out for a test, as it's nearly the same track as next week Man FIA and was shocked. I did a really fast lap, for me, going to try it in a race to see what happens. It's much more work than the GT-R, but at least I will be more comfortable next week.

Got to DR-A and wanted to get back to SR-99 for FIA and made it to 93. Next race had some aggressive players playing bumper cars, and got caught up in a 3 car pile, down to 76. Next race, going well, in second. The leader almost caught me out when he went really wide in the hairpin, I ducked inside, and he shot all the way across the track on exit and I had to slam on the brakes to avoid contact. Should have been a warning. Lap 4, he gets a bit sideway coming on to the straight. I get a run and try to go inside, he blocks. I swing outside, but loose some speed because I lifted for a fraction. He's covering the inside coming to the brake zone, I figure go in deep, get a good drive and undercut. He jumps in front of me and hopps on the brakes early...I brake, swerve inside, get plowed from the guy that was 1 second back, spin, wall, car, car. By the time I stop I'm in 15th with 6 seconds of penalties. Reset back to 15000 and SR-C.

Back up to 22,000 and 70 now. Good news is I got a bunch of poles, and wins, and CRB's getting there, also got Q down to a 29.593 and had my fastest race (7:33) with 2 laps in the 29's, including my fastest up to that point. Set the current Q time in the warmup after that race. I like when I get in the zone, and run smooth like that. I guess (many) laps help!

We are complete opposites, cannot turn a decent lap to save my life at willow, abysmally slow.

RBR though, I can do 1.30.5s all day.

I have more wins at this track than any other in the game. From leading flag to flag, swapping spots, putting 2 wheels into the sand to pass, FR layout, MR layout, it doesn’t matter. I’ve come to love the track, even when I screw up & end up in the sand myself.

The wet conditions are awesome when using Group C and Pre-1979 historic cars.

I can’t think of any track in the game that’s worse than Red Bull Ring. Why, oh why do I keep wasting my time?
I feel pretty much the same, but I don't waste my time on it. I should though as I'll never get better by ignoring things.

During my Daily Race C excursions, I had some....moments.

For example this player got impatient so he decided to attempt an overtake around Schwalbenschwanz and the end result was both of us going into the gravel. Luckily since both of us managed to produce a decent gap, I was able to retake P1 and get my 26th win.

And here's another moment which I think its by far the most desperate scene I've seen in my Daily Race experience. The video says it all.

But anyways overall this week has been something and it allowed me to get closer to the DR A+ rank.

Which car will be best for next weeks race c on Interlagos?
Been quite a while since I did this combo. I remember Huracan was for qualy if im correct? What about the race?

I used to use the aston even before the aston was popular, mainly because it would eat cars into T1. For qualy, maybe something more nimble? It is an interesting race though, not a lot of race c at interlagos, let alone with proper tyres.

I remember the GT-R used to be the car for Interlagos(and pretty much everywhere else).

Jumped in the 2011 M3, Z4 and SLS.

Pole to 4th to win with the M3. I slide a bit into T2. Fell a spot and lost another before the next corner. Just kept at it and watched P2 press P1 too hard. They got penalties near the end of the last lap and I finished P1.

Started 5th in the Z4. Nice car. Finished P3 by being within range of the leaders.

Started P2 in the SLS. Dropped my qualy time from a 29.8 to 29.7. It's handling is about the same as the RX-V, but with more grunt. However, does feel like a little less downforce than the RX-V.
Anyway, got bumped by a P3 RCZ at T2. Bunch of cars were all stacked into the corner, when I looked behind. Out accelerated the lot of them and had to make up time to the P1 Vantage.
Matched my qualy time with an FL.
Vantage got 1.5 for running wide at two turns.
I got th lead, but Vantage was catching in my slip. It did the cheeky running too hot into T2 to slow me up on the last lap. Was going to punt it at T3. Just stayed patient though. Race wasn't over.
We go into the final two corners. Vantage goes wide. I know it's getting a penalty. However, I'm braking early and I go wide, just a fraction and lose traction on exit!! I get a penalty and the car behind me gets a penalty!

Us top three with penalties. The alternative cars did pretty good for a very late night early morning trial.
I'll probably use the same cars for Interlagos.

Got my 20th sports career win today at Red Bull Ring, by far my most consistent track. It was group 4 here for my first ever race so something quite nice about that

That same week race C was group 3 at Interlagos and I remember the Atenza doing very well then, I don't know if there's been any BoP changes since then?

Hey guys, you might have loved driving Group Cs at Alsace a couple of weeks ago, this gave me the idea of hosting a Group C championship at some proper tracks.
I was told to post this here too, registrations are now open at https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...p-round-1-10th-january-2021-spots-open.397452
Timings: Sunday 15:30 GMT, 5 rounds from the 10th of Jan to the 7th of Feb.

In other news, I am so glad I made an alt. Had fun no-qualiing at the Nurbs without worrying about DR or SR!

Basically under this pen system running from the back is a no go if you are above average speed wise.
It used to be a fun way to play...
In May the Atenza was strong at Interlagos, good gearing for it plus good handling. It can bite though. You can wind in a TON of steering on it, which means things can go south quick if you snap loose...
Most people are far better off imo with a stable power car at Interlagos. I like the vette. The Mercedes is good. The handling cars...I’ve seen them get bullied quite a lot, in race you’ll just be held up at apex so the handling advantage is negated. If you’re out front though things change...It is a balanced track, just depends.
I will run fr power.

PD must solve this penalty system issue. They should seperate the players and the ruiners.
I have the most biggest problem, you guys can't even believe it's true. I am Turkish and i race in EMEA. I have lots and lots of haters. They leave the racing and the game and they try to take me out for what ever it takes. I've seen French's talking each other to block me and setup a defence. This is a thing in your life if you are Turkish but i'm fed up with this! Disgusting!

Well, you're very welcome in any race I participate. The world's best GT player is Turkish and I never heard him mention something like this.
I feel for you if you have this experience, but don't give up on GT. There's a lot of fun here besides the penalty system ofcourse.

Talking about the penalty system.... it seems to be a little better now. Is it me or do more people have this feeling?

Downside: on RBR a lot of guys take the inside and push you gently off track on the sharp corners there. But the exit of those corners is very slow if you defend the inside.
If you defend too hard when someone takes the inside, you get penalties. But that's not the system's fault.
I experienced it when I got better quali times. The faster they are, the meaner they get. Well, some of who I met ofcourse:sly:.

But I had a nice week in Austria. It's a great track.
